The weather has most definitely turned and its made me want to cosy up and create a makeup that feels the same. After dressing in this black jumper I felt I needed a smokey Berry Eye makeup to make my green eyes pop and to inject some colour. And contrary to what you might think a Berry coloured eye can lift your complexion and enhance your eyes. I promise it won't make you look like you've got irritated eyes.

I worked in Children's programmes at the Beeb in the 90s and we were trained never to ask the talent for autographs as the studio was supposed to be a "safe space" for them. It didn't stop me from marrying one of the presenters but I never asked for his autograph 🤣. Sorry to hear about your friend. May I ask for a video or makeup suggestions for those of us who wear (like me 🙈) a uniform? Because it‘s so difficult to look nice and polished in this kind of „clothes“ and find the right way to do your makeup, but not look overdone (if that make sense 😅)…

Love this look and really love getting to see how these colors can be used in a sophisticated way. So simple and yet really different from the average (at least for me).
You mentioned proper exfoliation but not to use hard ones for extra dry skin and curious if you’re a fan of an AHA/BHA cleanser or something more intense?
Also love the idea of what’s currently in your handbag/makeup bag! I’m always trying to find the right things to include in there and often find without reapplying my skincare I’ve chosen poorly.

A lovely fall berry look, Caroline. I definitely prefer your normal natural daylight; the gorgeous wall color blends into your skin with little contrast to be able to really see your makeup.

I've tried the luminous skin concealer and skin tint. I have quite oily skin and find I really don't need all that luminosity. The product is lovely though it doesn't give much coverage. But with a powder foundation over top it is quite good. Love the berry palette for winter! Thanks for all your education Carolyn! I use the tips of the eyelashes being seen over the liner all the time. ❤

I only watched the video because it’s you, Caroline 😅 thinking berry eyes aren’t for me. I always shy away from pinky tones as I used to suffer allergies which affected my eye area leaving them sore looking. But I thought this was gorgeous so I’ll be looking for an eye colour to recreate this look 😊😊

It was a complete shock to find out about the sudden death of your friend. She had a page devoted to her in this week's BMJ. It is always shocking to hear of the death of someone so young, generous, skilled and dedicated. We need to concentrate on the support and care for her daughter.

I’ve rarely attempted this look on my blue/gray eyes fearing I would look tired or sick. Perhaps it depends on the tone of the shades.
