This Is How Much Money Real Estate Agents Make In Canada 🤑

- Опубліковано 19 чер 2024
- Real estate agents in Canada earn a commission-based salary, which depends on the number of transactions they complete. Typically, their salary is a percentage of the home's sold price. The commission rates vary by province, and real estate brokerages usually take a 30% share of the agent's commission. The median salary of a real estate agent in Canada is $46,212, but the earnings can vary widely. While some agents make a large number of transactions and earn a significant income, others may only complete one or zero transactions per year. Becoming a full-time real estate agent can be beneficial if you can consistently complete at least six transactions per year.

I think the average real estate agent makes $7.3m per year
The secret is out!
$7.3? Why so low?
@@SteveKarrasch he said average.
It's too much
I think the average realtor makes $70,000
I’m currently in Toronto for the eclipse and came across you video. I was intrigued that you indicated that agents spend 80% of costs on staging. I tried to log into calendly but some reason it did not work. How else can I contact you?
It doesn't matter how many people came into the Industry. The rent market is over the roof you can make 200k with renting commissions alone. The rent will never ever going into resetion in canada
A full time agent doing 12 deals a year , net 2% commission on 500,000 sale = $120,000
have you seen average home price in Toronto?
12 deals a year is still very good. You would had to have been working in real estate for a few years AND also working full time in order to do 12 deals a year.
My brother in law makes crazy cash selling mid level houses in Saskatchewan. If you’re a people person try it. Unfortunately as time has passed, he’s starting to believe he’s worth all that money.
GTA i would have guessed 10 transactions a year with 2.5 comission on 15 mil = 375k minus 50 percent overhead = 188k
That sounds about right for the top 10% of agents in the GTA.
@@TomStorey every time I get in a Uber in Toronto the drivers hands out their relator card
@@TomStorey with all the luxury cars they drive I expected they make more! I make a bit more than what I estimated they make and I drive a used minivan lol.
@@toasty-toast most of those cars are leases that turn into business expenses…
@@2bp827 I’m not surprised. It’s easy to get your license but it’s hard to build a real business.
I think the average agent makes around $38,000 per year.
You weren’t so far off
I think they make at least 150, 000 a year.
No offence, but I just had the impression that all realtors have huge billboards with -SOLD written in bold and so many SOLD over ASKING signs that they all must be making a hell lot in % terms just because the house prices are ridiculous here. I mean even if a realtor only sells a $2M house in a year, he/she'd be making more than nurses or some doctors or software prof etc would make.
I live near a local Burnaby BC realtor (Phil Moore) who lives in a mansion and drives Porsches and a Ferrari. His wifey/partner and his son are also realtors. Their house is a fortress
85000
average 65k
1:10 I would guess $200K usd
50k.... ?? I've had multiple realtors.. and their cars and clothes said. Not that much
Good guess!
100000
$32,000
my guess 30-50k average.
Good guess!
50k to 80k
Do we real even need real estate agents? NO we don't, They really do very little work at all.
They do have their place in the housing market but not in the way most real estate agents think. Many of them are fooled into taking up on low level tactics that have a a disastourous effect on housing. If they knew their place they wouldn't pull such moves that are deceptive in nature. The more they engage in such, the more they become disconnected from reality and then they start living in bubbles, and because they operate on the market, they transfer on this bubble on to the market in hopes that it will be accepted as a reality. This is why so many home buyers have been conned. Quite simply by greed
this is a tough one. how many transactions per year would be considered a "full time" job? five? ten? those agents must be making 500k easily, after tax 250k/year? its too much when you consider the type of professional office job + education you need to make 250k working a regular salaried job. maybe im completely off, but this is what i gather looking at the lifestyles of "successful" fultime realtors.
I'd say 15 sales minimum. Some people make a TON and some make NOTHING, I like is that it's directly correlated to your work ethic and people skills.
This is one of the only professions where you don't have to be highly educated to make a lot of money. You take the real estate course to get licensed and away you go. It is all dependent on how hard you work period.
There is no 250k tax at all 90 percent of agents incorporate and use small bussiness tax incentives and pay 13 percent so if you make 5

I guessed $130k 🤡
i work on a team with a top realtor who claims he is making 7 figures ,, rumour has it he is selling his home because he maxed out on his heloc and can't afford payments.. you guys are all fibbing on your numbers.. nobody is net a million in toronto anymore unless you are barry cohen
I know our company is very strict on the numbers being legit for awards, net numbers would be fun to see, but it will never happen.
@@TomStorey thanks for responding
60k
I would say 1.5 mill a year
$30 million per year according from a friend
100000
