The thing with mods is, some games need mods. Like for example, playing Skyrim without mods now is so boring. When you apply a load of mods to change the experience, it feels exciting and new again. FFXIV is not that type of game, it is constantly being expanded with new stories, new instanced content, new features\quality of life improvements. It simply does not need mods. People have made mods that are very good, and then the devs decided to take those features of the mod and officially add them to the game. But to say that if it was not for the existence of that mod, the feature wouldn't exist in the game is quite dumb. The game has an in-game suggestions feature, where you can suggest changes\features in the game. I have actually used this feature, and stuff I have asked for has been added into the game. I realise that it might not have been because of me, but also because many other players are asking for the same thing. But the point still stands, there was not a mod that did what we wanted, we asked and we received. Instead of making a mod that does something we want that the game currently doesn't do, why not just ask for it instead? The devs have consistently proven that they listen to their community and give them what they want, so don't be shy.
I shouldn't need to state the obvious, don't ask for stuff you already know shouldn't really be in the game (like nude mods).
i can argue that some mods should be ok specially those that are just vfx enhancements such as class fx , or lore inspired mods. these i think would be acceptable. as long as its not lewd i would be ok with that. this is a year ago i know but would shed light on that opinion. as long as its not game breaking or doesn't cause a controversy its fine.
why shouldn't lewd be allowed? As long as they are not using for sick stuff, they should be free to do whatever they want as long as it does not affect others
no, I am not using those kind of things just simply not against other people using it if they like it
Where do you draw the line? Everyones perspective on what is ok is different. As soon as you start saying "it depends" things get messy, and messy creates problems for the dev team.

He has asked multiple times for people to stop modding for graphics changes. The problem YoshIP is forgetting is "The Internet is for Porn!"
I dont think he means genuinely, but he is forced to take this stand due to him working on a japanese company. They dont mess around with their TOS
I think the gamer in YoshiP loves mods but he isn't allowed to say it out loud since modding still is against ToS
