I absolutely love the 4 pipe air to water heat pump system; that, coupled with cold and hot buffer tanks, solves just about all of the problems with "normal" HVAC systems. You can oversize for those wild 4th of July parties to your heart's content, you have effectively infinite turndown capability(way more than even the fanciest Mitsubishi), you can zone every single room if you want, and most importantly, in my mind, you can control the sensible heat ratio of the air handler with reheat, a way more elegant solution compared to a dehumidifier.
The only thing I would disagree with is controlling the airflow stages; I would personally set up the fan with a supply duct pressure sensor and program it to maintain whatever static pressure I designed the ducts for; that way, the zones can do whatever they want without worrying about dampers messing with system pressure. It might also be interesting to look at VAV diffusers instead of on-off dampers and grills. They can vary the volume of air per damper while maintaining velocity and throw patterns. Or fan powered terminal boxes, perhaps, they give you the constant in room air circulation like a ceiling fan even when the damper is closed, and they give you the option of adding an extra filter just for the room if you want.

5:08 … in my opinion, that is why it is necessary to draw 1:1 in true scale, if using AutoCAD 2D and not AutoCAD MEP or Revit. Revit is parametric modeling. And you can export your Revit model to Navisworks and do coordination modeling and clash detections.

11:50 … I am thinking it is better to have that fresh air intake higher up in a soffit near a peak of a gable.
If it better lower down, like in the ceiling of the front porch?

A house that size that many systems you look at it commercial pricing, and maintenance schedule.
I have some clients that size and my yearly ticket in service and repairs is $20+ thousand to $40,000 a year
When you get that size it’s in a different category if they want a cheaper price I recommend them go to the Home Depot parking lot and they will find their service crew
