The reality is security costs money. A bodyguard could run you anywhere from £150 a day where there is low risk to £500 a day where there is high risk. So for a lot of these guys even if the risk is not high 4 bodyguards would run them a bill of £1k per day........which even if it was not an everyday thing could easily be over £250k per year........and whilst some of these guys are making good money who wants to spend a quarter of a million pound per year every year if you don't truly believe your in some immediate risk. It is a lot to spend 'just in case' especially when a lot of these guys also think they are not on the victim list and can handle situations themselves or with their people. That is also assuming they can all afford it too........spending £100k on a watch and jewels that still has a value is very different to spending £250k and not being sure if it has done anything for you.
Ngl till this day I still see some of the biggest names in the UK scene move around and they move with small teams, usually no more than 3-4 people and don't encounter any problems. The scenes small, especially London and everyone knows each other. I think the public over here are way more civilised than in America. Security are typically going to protect artists from the general public, if they have problems on road, they'd rather be around their own guys even though that means you can catch charges, they feel more comfortable about moving with their own guys + when you reach a certain level, the chances of you being in the same place as your opps are unlikely so spending all that money on security to be their on 24s doesn't make sense but then again all it takes is one time lol
It's not UK Artists as a whole that have the problem. It's literally confined to the rappers that talk a certain way alone. Nobody else would really need it.
By your logic Krept would not need it, yet he was stabbed. I would say anyone who is anyone should not be in situations where they are lacking. This is especially in environments where it is hard to control who has access to you eg. shopping centres, shows and other public settings that you may be in for extended period of time.
@@sdotlondonkid if you have no gang affiliations or beef, why make it sound like you do in your music and attract the attention of gangsters then, that just stimulates the exact thing you just said he doesn't have bro
I feel like UK artists don't have security because they don't make as much money as U.S artists. we get much fewer views, streams and have smaller venues for concerts, and never get any big brand sponsors. I really don't understand why UK artists don't spread their music. they drop a song a month or two that barely hits a million views and doesn't get good streaming numbers, why not invest in a music video on world star hip hop where you have a whole new audience and guaranteed high views and streaming numbers.

I just saw the Future bodyguard getting sucker-punched video, he's not an actual bodyguard, he looks like some big guy they've employed to look the part. If your wallet can handle proper security it's best to put it in place. not big overweight giants like Mayweathers. But proper bodyguards with top-level training. Not guys who are only used to working doors of clubs. Anything can happen at any time.

sdotlondonkid Krept is in that category. “Suck your mudda, I said it with chest” this, “Run man down in my Fendi” that. Not exactly innocent lyrics.
