Atheists like Po make me laugh , be an atheist and keep it all the way buck... instead you’ve got a GODfather & GODmother to your kids. People use language & pick & choose the meaning when it suits their argument give it a rest lol
So? Religious language has influenced our language all over the place even "Goodbye" came from the phrase "God be with you". Just because atheists may say "Oh My God" or use other phrases which have religious language says nothing about whether you believe in the proposition of the existence of a God or not.
Preme this comment is a reach at best. “Oh my God” is a turn of phrase that can be said at any time. Similar example: Palestinian Christians from Bethlehem saying “Inshallah” as they are speakers of Arabic, it’s not referring to Allah in an Islamic sense. That is purely down to language. The content of my comment extends far beyond language, it is also an act. One that doesn’t make much sense for a non-hypocritical atheist to take , but yeah just my opinion lol

Of recent, things are coming to light about SPAC, time is telling. Lets give Kanye some time. Time will tell whether his conversion was legit or if it was a publicity stunt or if it was blasphemy... who knows?
A genre is the sound more than the content imo. A hip hop producer can make an instrumental that is hip hop before any rapper comes and puts lyrical content on top. Kanyes music has always had a lot of gospel influence, from way back when he made Jesus walks, and a whole bunch of the vocals he uses in songs across pretty much every album. Him making a ‘gospel album’ is just him diving deeper into an element of his music that was always there already.
I love how Poet says he can't fuck with Usher because he was doing RnB, then went to Ibiza to do Europop and then came back and did the RnB thing and he doesn't like the 'inconsistency'. And then in the same breath praises 'Skepta' and 'Wiley' and calls them 'his guys'. SKEPTA and WILEY!!!!!!! The man said SKEPTA and WILEY!!! Like Skepta wasn't standing in a pub waving his arm in a circle telling everyone to do the 'rolex sweep' and then a few years later was in a black coat and black hat saying 'thats not me' with JME and Maximum. And do I even need to mention Wiley and how inconsistent he's been over the years? Hahahaahaa. I do like Poet and he's just voicing his opinion but sometimes I feel he gets so caught up in voicing his opinion and arguing for arguments sake he doesn't think about what he says.
46:45- chuckie starts slapping the fuck out of his phone 46:50- Siri starts talking Chuckie: see see, always listening.. I didn’t even press nothing..gotta do a podcast on this 😂😂😂
I don’t think it’s cultural appropriation because Kanye has said himself in an interview 10 years ago that he would like to make a gospel album in the future.
Poets argument is flawed big time. Saying that you can’t separate the music from the artist is majorly flawed, music is art, subjective and open to interpretation. As an artist I could feel a certain way at a particular time in my life, write a song about it and release the song on an album. Does that mean that those feelings articulate who I am or how I felt at a particular time? There are thousands of hip hop artists that rap about things they have never seen. None of us KNOW Jay Z or knew Biggie but we revere them as vanguards of the genre. Just take the art for what it is.
The problem with Poet is he is ALWAYS looking for a reason to interject when someone else is speaking and he cannot even hold his tongue for 5 seconds. Dan started a point about being invested in footballers and within a second Poet was already interrupting and talking again. I think it's an issue of Poet not respecting that other people have opinions and he isn't always right or the most important voice.
IMHO and please this is literally just my opinion: Kanye knows full well that he can’t sell his music to his normal fans no more because they’re non existent and therefore gone to the Christian folk because they forgive and forget everything (in general)
Maybe when Kanye refers to it as a Gospel album, he means it in a sense of him delivering an overall message/a story, which are what 'gospels' are right. Not that he has created a musically gospel album as such. So really the focus is on what he is saying and as I said before - the messages he is delivering?? Just a thought
In the states (potentially in the UK too?) you will often hear genres referred to as Christian Rap, Christian Rock etc. This is where the production/ vocal style sounds like a primary genre, but the lyrical content speaks of the gospel/ god/ Jesus etc
Another gospel artist that bangs (I'm also not religious) but Mali Music. Mali Music - The Name is such a sick song! I have been a hardcore atheist for 6 and a half years but this tune still does something to me!
I liked savage Dan on filthy fellas but on these podcasts I see him in a complete different light didnt know he was so intelligent and actually entertaining to listen too
Kayne is to inconsistent and I would add ... his motives are questionable. Just like them charlatan preachers I will be wary of what he’s portraying at present. We all could be wrong but financially preying on peoples beliefs has known to be a cash cow and his political position also has me concerned
candidate Salmon agreed. You know he’s been selling merch too? As if there’s not a famous story telling of Jesus speaking against the commodification of religion and faith
The thing is, this is what Poet was saying and being cussed out in the comments. I agree with this, I wish Kanye the best but at the end of the day I'm not going to start calling it Gospel and telling people about it when the spirit behind it when tested, doesn't stand.
Sometimes its not that deep though and its just good to listen to rappers rap about guns, the streets etc without delving into their entire background and family tree etc to see if they are about that kind of life.
Poet always stays true to himself, everyone that has a negative thing to say about him wants to see him change but will that make him happy or you lot 🤷🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
9 consecutive number 1 albums is pretty consistent. I'm also pretty sure this fella isnt out shooting people but he would listen to snoop and ice cube back in the day
It's taken me a while to get to this juncture with Kanye, but so can now see with him that he is on a spiritual journey. Kanye is taking a path of knowledge that if u aren't familiar with, then certain aspects of his music will fly over your head. I don't wanna Big him up or anything like that because Kanye is one of many artists who over time is trying to convey a particular message that cannot be translated in a literal sense. If you're not familiar with esoteric knowledge, with the emerald tablets, book of Enki, Thoth, with the lost knowledge of Egypt, even biblical scripture to some degree, then u may miss the message. For me, I'm trying to figure out if Kanye is aware of the knowledge and it's coming directly from him, or whether it's being passed to Kanye to 'deliver'. If u find his music makes no sense, sometimes that means there's a message being delivered which ur ears aren't acclimated to. Poet isn't tuned in to this frequency as yet because he still receives music on a literal level. His dismissal is too early and one day he will finally 'tune in' to the message and 'hear' what is really being said. This is what I've come to discover anyway. By all means this doesn't take away from all the out there shit he has being saying lately and in the past - Kanye just didn't understand the knowledge he was receiving fully, so his interpretations were a bit off.
Trevor B. Yokkanan I feel you 100%. However, as you said, I find it hard to believe that Kanye’s message is really coming from him. If he was really in the sunken place, there is no way a year later, he’s having a spiritual awakening. Maybe there’s a part of him trying to break free but when you look at how he’s capitalising on religion & faith, selling merch and even using a play on the name Jesus “yeezus” to make millions on a sneaker. he’s doing it despite the fact the bible talks about not commoditising religion. I just don’t trust him at all.
@@afouri Yes, now I agree with you 100%. There's nothing natural about any of his self progression. Everything about Kanye seems forced, sometimes feeling like he has been coherced into doing or saying certain things, and considering the family he's around, that wouldnt even be a surprise. in terms of his commoditisation of religion - ooooh bwoy there's a special place in the not so special place for that kinda behaviour lol

You guys just haven’t listened to enough gospel music
10 mins in & I’m tapping out. I love the pod but Poet just likes the sound of his own voice & it’s draining to watch
Love you guys man for real! "what if it was good" lol Blessings!
46:45- chuckie starts slapping the fuck out of his phone
46:50- Siri starts talking
Chuckie: see see, always listening.. I didn’t even press nothing..gotta do a podcast on this
😂😂😂
Love Dan ! Love the set too!
Wait on sec Skepta has changed his music style so what's poet saying he is dressing like a Shoreditch donny to and Poet still loves him off
I don’t think it’s cultural appropriation because Kanye has said himself in an interview 10 years ago that he would like to make a gospel album in the future.
I imagine Kanye's mind is pretty much like that flamenco wallpaper 😵
this close up set is wavyyy im feeling it
Sometimes I really think poet just disagrees just to be difficult 😂 ,then chuckie just follows poet and dan is the only one who is real!
What an experience it was to watch this live and my bro was talking about the Kanye ting with them 🔥
Santan Capone is Poet just as annoying in real life?
Pain Free he was actually safe uno but I didn’t agree with his mindset
Poet committed to misunderstanding, hate to see it.
Just in time for my break❤️❤️
Poet always has to try to go against the grain, my goodness.
Even dan and chuckie look like they had enough of poet towards the end haha
"Imagine if u heavily invested in Pink" Poet hit the nail on the head💯 couldnt agree more cos thats exactly what happened to me🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The problem with Poet is he is ALWAYS looking for a reason to interject when someone else is speaking and he cannot even hold his tongue for 5 seconds.
Poet has ruined this whole thing! It’s mad cringe worthy to watch
Yup
@45:04...this never actually happened. What video's he chatting about?
Another gospel artist that bangs (I'm also not religious) but Mali Music. Mali Music - The Name is such a sick song! I have been a hardcore atheist for 6 and a half years but this tune still does something to me!
OH MY DAYS POET! HE WRECKS THIS PODCAST, ALWAYS ARGUING WITH HIMSELF!
Who's house is this? Flamingos?
This episode is lit 🔥
I liked savage Dan on filthy fellas but on these podcasts I see him in a complete different light didnt know he was so intelligent and actually entertaining to listen too
I love Dan I always get sad when he isn’t in an episode he is really smart, laid back and funny as well.
@@naomibeautymind6226 true
Basically asking if "Gang Signs & Prayer" was a Gospel Album 😂
Poet will argue with himself about that. For at least an hour. Facts
i think the only one who is confused is whoever thought it was a good idea matching the chair colours with the background
yolodolo as an interior designer it’s driving me mad😤😂🤦🏽♀️
Poet should just start his own podcast. I swear this is the Chuckie Online channel.
I dunno if Kanye is confused but I fucking am listening to this 😂
Kayne is to inconsistent and I would add ... his motives are questionable.
I agree with this, I wish Kanye the best but at the end of the day I'm not going to start calling it Gospel and telling people about it when the spirit behind it when tested, doesn't stand.
mzspeshlz agreed. The spirit behind it was even in the sunken place, I do not trust Kanye one bit.
Sometimes its not that deep though and its just good to listen to rappers rap about guns, the streets etc without delving into their entire background and family tree etc to see if they are about that kind of life.
What would you say about dancehall because the artist will talk about God and guns and people are still able to understand and stay with the artist
Jamaica is a whole different story, it has the most churches per sq. meter in the world so religion is very ingrained into the society.
Is it good though??😊😊..i do appreciate poet's depth and convictions but i also appreciate chuckie's objectivity ...very objective
Did you man film this inside a matchbox?
🤣🤣🤣
Are we just gonna act like Kanye hasnt always sprinkled this in his music from Jesus Walks to Ultra Light Beams
Poets nose needs it's own podcast
poet wrong for this one
Poet get your nose outta there
Kanye west album is amazing ..
one of the best album out he did an amazing job . The production was amazing content amazing complete genius .
Poet always stays true to himself, everyone that has a negative thing to say about him wants to see him change but will that make him happy or you lot 🤷🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
Nobody wants him to change but he can at least let man land
@@BassRapPaz thank you, that's all we want as listeners, just let others talk man. Jeez. It's not the poet show
A lot of people actually either start or end with “love you po but....
Dope set!
Big show man dem loving da chilk vibe with da pink flamingos lool
Was this filmed in freddy krugers House
Big Up Poet Real Talk Brudda
Poet is wrong and strong sometimes. He definitely likes the sound of his own voice. I like Dan he has his point but never does the most. 50:31 made me laugh 🤣 Gotta love chuckie
