This is great, I'm going to do this when I get the remote.

Even if I did fix the problem I think it is important to report issues such as these to the manufacturer. The fun thing is that when I filed a complaint with HobbyKing, they marked the complaint as solved and provided a link to this video :-)
I hope they mean that they know that my particular radio is fixed rather that all customers should sand down their buttons.

Thank You! I hope there is some (easy) video on the way, about how to change mode 1 to mode 2. Mine tx is just packed right now :) .

You are right. They are really funny! I was thinking of removing the text completely to get rid of them, but I will leave them in due to their unintentional entertainment value.

I am so glad I will be able to fix my stock cheese, no doubt! Sorry, the captions are so funny, I had to comment again!

Yup, exactly the same problem here.
This far I have "solved" it by pressing harder when I go up and down.

They are plastic with a high quality metal coating.
I tried the exacto method first, but did not manage to shave off anything. I was also worried to destroy the glass or hit cut something under the button, so I gave up.
I think that it is possible to do it that way, but it will require great care.

are the keys made of metal like maybe die cast? Or are they plastic, if they are plastic maybe you can use a exacto knife and trim off the button tips and not have to take apart

UA-cam automatically creates captions and they are unbelievably bad.
I correcting a line. Then I realized that it would take forever to fix them all and stopped. I did not know that my correction would make them visible.

Take the buttons out and liggtly sand the sides that face the glass
