You should get in contact with David Attenborough, I used to live on the same street as him! with these filming skills and the inspiring and educational story lines you could go very far with nature documentaries. Almost made me cry how incredibly beautiful the underwater world is in Bonaire. More humans need to see the beauty and magnificence of nature to stop polluting it and protect! The ecosystem is a mirror to us, the fact we are damaging the environment shows we are damaging ourselves. When were very close to non-human beings it is possible to see ourselves reflected back as we are all in essence made of the same stuff. We should protect and spend more time immersed in the raw elements of nature away from computer screens and central heating and become more connected. That's what its all about: Connection & Purpose.
This place is a true gem for the world! We had a stop here a few years back on cruise and we took all of our grandkids snorkeling and to this day they still talk about how beautiful this place is and how lucky they got to visit. I have snorkeled in lots of places in the world and it took me 35 years to see a sea turtles but here my grandkids on the first time in the water see one within minutes of getting in the ocean. I cannot wait to go back and see more of the beauty soon. Agree with others on why this video does not have millions of views.
Beautiful videos of our island Bonaire.! “Masha masha danki pa mustra nan”! ( This means; Thank you very much for posting them.! Papiamento our local language.)
It was an honor to be a part of the Mangrove Maniacs volunteers and the great work being done. You really make a difference and deliver a major contribution to the conservation of Bonaire's mangroves and surrounding area ❤
Jurrien, this is a masterpiece Amazing video quality. the Sony a7SIII in perfection and a great selection of music Its a documentary and thank you so much for this breathtaking video and work!!! Greetings
Found your first film when looking into Fury Shoals. Now I watched all your films ... and am so impressed by your footage and editing. It is all breathtaking The way you bring things to life is incredible. All films are just gems for those who love the underwater world. Huge Compliment! Knap werk.

Thanks for making this video. I will be leaving for Bonaire in two days time. I hope that is will see a fraction of the beautiful video that your have shared with us.
@@cryptojihadi265 i`m sory, i have never been to Bonaire. the landscape around Red Sea is of course a Desert - very different, but nice contrast, blue water, clear Sky and grey brown sand, only few green spots with palms...
This is by far the best and most beautiful video I have seen of Bonaire. I loved the warning at the end of the video. This one should have a million views. I'm happy and thankfull that I will visit Bonaire in october this year and I will do my shear of cleaning up!
FANTASTIC!!! Really I mean it. I have been a pro diver for the last 30 years and didnt saw many times the quality you are offering for a "non-profesional"!!! Thanks a lot Monsieur ❤
Been to Bonaire multiple times now so why am I just now coming across this video? This video is so breathtaking I am contemplating throwing all my camera gear away.
1:12 WOW! 🤯 What AMAZING footage of that Longsnout Seahorse - those guys are so small! The dive housing for those DSLR cameras may cost an arm and a leg but DAMN is it worth it in the right hands! One thing that stood out to me so much was the color grading. There's a lot of good underwater footage, but most of it is so oversaturated in blue tones. Did y'all achieve this mostly through lighting or editing? Got any tips for a new underwater photographer?
Damn Jurries & Isabelle ! Dit is een heel mooie (duik)film (in feite docu)! Daar waar ik je vorige filmen al knap vond, hebben jullie hier 'the bar' flink hoger gezet. Knappe video, edit, muziek, docu. Inspirerend hoor!
so cool I want to ask you some questions. What program do u use color correction? I want to create a color like you. awesome. Do you always use lens and light filters?
Loved your video! I'm looking for an underwater video camera (I don't do stills) and would love to hear your thoughts of what cameras have worked well & which ones didn't. I know the pros and cons of the go pro system well--what I'm searching for is a camera system that fills in the gaps--like videoing smaller animals etc. Would really appreciate hearing your thoughts!
Hi Sandra, thanks! I also started with a Gopro, then had an Olympus camera (was more of a photo camera with a film option), and then I started using a Sony AX700 (www.yourcamerastore.com/sony-ax700- with-gates-housing-and-sp34a-port). The AX700 with the Gates housing is a fan-tas-tic 4k camera (and still is). Easy to operate, records good colors, a very good zoom function, built-in red filter and nd filter, automatic and manual focus/zoom function, manual white balance option. We still use the AX700 (as a 2nd camera) and are still very happy with it.
@@JurrienWiss Thank you so much--after watching your video, I started researching the AX700. I was frustrated with the TG6 (especially with the autofocus hunting) so the Sony Cyper-shot DSC RX100 or Sony ZV1 were on my radar. After looking at your video, I'm thinking the AX700 may be worth the added price. Thanks so much for the added info!!
@@sandramaruszak9998 Yes, please note.. this movie was mostly shot with a Sony A7SIII, only a few shots were taken with the AX700. For a full equipment list see the credits: 23:15
Hai jurrien I want to visit Raja Ampat,I want to dive there but I'm not a underwater driver,is it possible to dive there without any experience like I have scuba dive in Andaman and Nicobar without any experience of it, with a professional diver
this is as great example of why we need to have more ocean preserves.... otherwise the reef fish get overfished and the corals destroyed. Mangroves in Florida are getting destroyed by mankind at an alarming rate. We behave as if we own this planet...yet it belongs to all the millions of species that call earth "home". ..... we are just one species.
What the heck? Why doesn't this work of art have like 10 million views! So well done, guys!!

what a pity that this beautiful documentary is accompanied by this apparently inevitable numbing and overpowering plastic pulp music
Because donkeys are a native species to Bonaire 🤣🤣🤣
