The process of tuning Siluria that preceded recording of the previous demos. This time it's only the WAV file from the SD card, no external sounds mixed in.
I am posting this as an unedited material as it is nice to listen to, and to give you a better picture about the possibilities. This is still the patch 1, next time we will show something different when it comes to the character of sound - working on it! :)

Delighted to hear that you enjoyed it! :) Yes it's a raw audio as downloaded from the internal SD card - then I replaced original audio in the footage with it. UA-cam applied some processing, so there is a link to Bandcamp where you can find the original WAV.
@@gechologic waaah thanks for the quick response ! Sounds like high end delay and reverb going on ! Crazy ! And what’s with that radio thing ? Can it pick up regalia fm radio stations and just jam over it or did I misunderstood that ?
@@patriceducharme1144 yes the signal from internal radio (or from line input) can be mixed with the generated drone and processed in the same way - that' shown in the other demo. Or it can be processed on its own, without any drone.

@@robodean99 I'm afraid so, at least for this first round. I can't speak for Mario and Anna, but I know that it's very busy trying to fulfil this initial run of orders. If you go on the mailing list you should get notified. My order is in the first twenty and I thought that I was super quick off the mark (within a few hours) - so it's just very popular and we all have to be patient... It'll be worth it :)

In this demo all sounds are generated and saved to the SD card as WAV files, but it's also possible to use a WAV file (or FM radio, as shown in the previous demo, or line input) as a background signal, to be processed by effects and/or to modulate these textures.
There is a small OLED screen on the side (next to the connectors) to make it easier to manage settings and presets (configure volume, midi, change patch).
And yes it's powered by USB-C and requires 5V so any compatible power bank or adapter or laptop should do. That's also one way how to import & export the WAV files, or you can take the Micro SD card out and put it to the PC directly.

From the arrangement of the notes, I believe he used an algorithm similar to that of harmonics on a string instrument... someone correct me on this.
Not quite sure if I follow, do you mean the notes played on the keyboard or how are the drone voices spread? Here the keyboard uses harmonic minor scale (Aeolian ♯7), it can be of course configured arbitrarily.

what about a drum tuning robot. like a tuning robot for a guitar but for drums. it tightens or loosens the parts to quickly tune the drum?. you were right about my other idea has flaws but meh the idea behind ideas is that any idea is ok as long as you can keep thinking new ones up eventually you will run across some good ones.
Indeed, if you want to have good ideas you must have many ideas. btw I didn't know drums need tuning, but it's probably done a lot less frequently than guitars?

Thank you for your kind comment! :) Those are variations of a few common effects (some are from open source code and some our own implementation) but I think what makes it sound good is the synergy and resolution in controls.

is there any specific function for the leaf/wing shaped touch plate?
Yes, it is a 12-note keyboard, playing the main voice, plus quick access to a few settings (in combination with one of the buttons which acts as a "shift").

Which knob style is that by the way? Honey caramel or is it the black version?
This is neither, we didn't include this version in the selection as for now I could not find a reliable source of them in good enough quality. All samples that arrived were manufactured with too high imperfections (for example the depth and diameter of the shaft hole is uneven) and most were scratched too. It is not noticeable in the video but visible to the naked eye at certain angle of light. However I like them very much, the circle that appears brownish is in fact more like a deep purple so when I get time, I will try to find them in better quality and add to the selection.
Thanks! Good to know. I was wondering that the knobs looked different than the selection on the site. I wasn't sure was it a question of different lighting. These look cool, they are subtle, kinda like a variation between black and honey caramel. 😊
Can you explain what the knobs are doing in your videos? The website doesn't explain either.
Sure, this will be described by diagrams in the online manual for each patch. Here, from top left to bottom right, the functions are: filter cut-off, filter resonance, reverb select, base frequency, flanger amount, flanger detune, delay length, delay amount. The engines and effects have more parameters than 8 so in other patches they may be associated differently, or there may be more than one function per knob (selecting between them by a button).

Can we get a virtual version as an app?
That's an interesting question. I bet there are many apps and plugins that do similar effects. Creating an app which displays this interface and works the same(ish) way is certainly possible, but many people are radically divided in their appreciation for apps vs. physical devices - both have advantages and disadvantages. It's a whole different space, where we, as a 2-person company, do not have the capacity or intention to move to. I personally would not mind the slightest if someone else recreated this as an app.
@@gechologicI hear that audio app porting to operating systems like iOS can be very costly and time consuming 😬
@@Subtronik I certainly believe so, iOS developers are usually very well paid. And it gets harder when real time audio processing is involved, even without the audio input it isn't trivial - I've checked previously with a quite experienced developer about making an app from the MMXX T-Ape synth (all the code readily available) and the asnwer was straight away "this is way beyond my pay grade". :D But I think it can be done by someone who already has the experience in the specific domain.

Haha nice number (if you're an Intel fan :) but we're not on eBay. And we pay taxes, fees, build things to last and repair everything for free, if needed. That price would be realistic if it came directly from a factory in China to you, with the minimum warranty conditions (i.e. when the display breaks after 2 years you're out of luck).

Thank you for your interest, but I'm afraid the shipping restrictions are still in place - we use FedEx and Irish post, neither currently ship to Russia. I'd say that if you have Lyra and Cosmos, you don't really need this, and vice versa ;)

Yes we're still reverse engineering it, almost there. Trying to keep the aesthetic intact, except for the twisty things which were originally made from little alien rodent skulls, slimy and unpleasant to touch, so we replaced them with guitar knobs.
