I actually did when I was studying kung fu in the Shandong province of China the sad part was I was already in my late 20s. I wish that I had been younger. I learned praying mantis kung fu and tiger claw, and the most rare and wonderful aspect is that what I learned was not contemporary wushu. Unfortunately that is what most schools teach in mainland China I was one of the lucky ones who found a traditional teacher
