Great video, thanks for sharing. The only thing I would like to see differently is just one person doing it without the assistance of another person when putting the horn back into the case. I am waiting the arrival of my first screw bell horn and I'm looking at different cases. I am primarily a 50+ year trumpet player and obviously it is really easy to put the trumpet back into the case. 5 years ago I decided to start doubling up on French Horn as I have always liked the sound of the horn. With the screw bell horn it seems like you need to set the body of the horn down someplace on the chair/floor in order to place the bell into the case first, unless you have an assistant holding the body of the horn? Perhaps I am overthinking this process. But I certainly do not want to risk dropping a really expensive upgraded horn.
I had a horn were it screwed really lightly. I loved to do it really fast when unscrewing, and one time it flew up in the air xD xD My horn teacher luckily was there to catch it, but after that I sure was being more careful xD xD
Thank you both for this informative and interesting video. Beautiful horn, and a lively workshop!
Thanks for the great video! Get it straight from the source-- these are two of the best in the business!!
Good information! What brand of case is that?
I can't believe Ion hit a 20 grand Lewis with a mallet!

Is the bell flare made of a different metal? If so, which natal and why choose that metal?

I'll take a great care of the third slide like this. Thank you!
