All music in this vid is recorded from real SID 6581
That C64 case combination seems brighter than me at the moment! 😎
Thanks so much for bringing us this KOOL one!
Glad to see the Hand Dancing making an appearance.
Haha, this video wouldn't be complete without some 8-bit dance party!
Looking great! I believe Thingiverse should have a printable model of the joystick port plate, if you wish to modify one for the HDMI cable.
great, thanks
Great looking all white C64, simple solution for the PLA problem, Kawari gives a really sharp and modern image perhaps not nostalgic but eyes would really appreciate it over the classic VIC 2 image.
As another mate wrote in a comment I am also for to integrate the HDMI plug on a modified side plate next to the joystick port perhaps?
But I have to say that the thing that impressed me more was the sound coming out the greatest custom chip Commodore designed the first generations SID! If you listen to your direct feed from a good HIFI system you will understand what I mean. I have heard Yamaha's OPLs, square wave synths from other companies, and even more modern stuff, nothing compares to that warm, not perfect, digitalanalog sound SID produces and that deep Bass! It is like it is singing by itself...
Keep up, Cheers from Greece!
The SID is an absolute legend. Love that chip, Cheers
That looks great! I want an all whiteish Vic 64 case!
yeah, It's my favourite "weird" C64 now :)
Looks fantastic!! I've never seen a white case and keyboard. Always something exciting to watch on your channel. Thanks for sharing
Thank you Rudy :)
caught you there😀
Good thing you added the badge. No way could you find that thing if you dropped that 'albino' 64 outdoors in a Midwestern blizzard!
😅
Wait, there are clearly some white artifacts at startup screen on CRT. BTW; that VIC case is awesome.
Where? I can't see any? Thanks
Whew, that white case made me think of bad 80s shoes 😂 Nice work getting that machine running!
Thanks John. That Commodore is so pale it almost glows haha
Great job! I really want to see you work on a Coleco Adam computer, there are some amazing projects for it, the Fujinet adapter, a MIDI interface, so much fun stuff.
Thank you
I think that chroma/luma is accessible on some pins on the kawarii board. The commercial ones do have Chroma/Luma, the HDMI module is an extra feature. If you really want C/L shoot a meesage to Randy, he seems like a nice guy and you have a very weird version of the board, I think it is even more capable than the commercial one. Randy said that he wanted to strip out some of the more useless features.
That looks SUPER SWEET!
Thanks :)
The "too perfect" picture out of the C64 reminded me the Simpsons here: ua-cam.com/video/CyuyBTuJeQQ/v-deo.html (35 seconds in).
I agree though, it looks like an emulator! I've only recently discovered the SVideo output of the C64 and that looks great! And amazing the Albino C64!
Thanks for the video!
Haha, thanks! yeah, S-video (chroma/luma) on real CRT looks perfect!
And then we have Beatles Chiptune on the C64.
If you have it recorded, I wanna see the 1084 dying. And a repair video.
I think it's the flyback. I need to get a new before I can make a repair attempt
I had a friend who had a VIC-20 in the 80s with a broken keyboard. At the time you could buy a C-16 keyboard at Radio Shack for $5. So he used a combination of the C-16 keyboard and what was left of his VIC keyboard to get something working. He used the white keys from the C-16 keyboard and it looked a lot like your albino 64. We thought it looked pretty novel.
I rather like it, It's now my favorite weird 64 :)
Ah Last Ninja Remix Office theme is amazing.
it even does a really nice bass! fist time i'm noticing that...
Already watched the first commodore video. 👍❤️
Are you going to the VCF MidWest in September?
No, unfortunately not
Have you tried the C64 port of Eye of the Beholder?
Looks awesome. So cool with new C64 titles!
FYI, it's pronounced "Yedermanns"
Ok, thanks!
