John telling the caller to ring Wal-Mart and see if they have stocker jobs. I've heard this advice on other calls too...correct me if I'm wrong I'm not looking for a job but these days don't they just send you to their online job application and you go into a giant pool of applicants never to be contacted by Walmart? Whenever the gang gives this advice it makes them seem out of touch with the way things are done these days. Walmart isn't a mom and pop. I could be wrong though maybe you can just walk in and get hired...
I'm a Walmart manager. Yes there's a pool of applicants. But a phone call asking for me to check on your application or coming in in person to talk to me quickly moves me to interview you. Shows great initiative.

Simple hack to get a full two hours instead of getting the app: just slow down the playback speed. It makes the voices sound funny, but it takes just as long as before.

Hotel Bride: They are taking advantage of you, 150 rooms is A LOT. They should have immediate reminded you that not everyone needs an individual room so divide your guest total number by 2 (because guests will come in pairs or groups). The most rooms they should have had you reserve is around 75, a third to a quarter will not show, so max, 40-50. It is common for hotels to release the rooms AT NO CHARGE to you so it’s unfortunate they are holding out. So sorry they put you in this position. Best of luck to get it cleared.

Great show guys. I love Dr. John's point that happiness is a choice for most of us. I completely agree. It is important to look at all the blessings in your life and keep perspective on how lucky we all are. You can always find someone that you think is doing better than you, but envy and jealousy are not constructive. Please try not to waste your time and energy on that. ❤

1:23:34 I don't know what the rules are in TN, but in my state, teachers don't have the option to "stop retirement." It is automatically taken out of your paycheck, the same with all state/government employees. You don't have a choice. Maybe it's different in TN. 1:24:24 I'm glad Dr. John addressed this.
Doctor John, I live, work and pay taxes in Ontario... but it is not 80%, you are way off... it is only 30% of our gross salary that goes to taxes!

Congrats to the debt free screamers for selling lots of stuff to get there. I hate when I hear incomes in the $200k range. Anyone with half a brain can get out of debt on that. $80k to $96k takes determination.
I thought if a car went to a million miles the car company will replace it with a new one for free and they will inspect the million miles car.

To Shakeeb, who lost $80k in a scam. Please don't call what happened to him "Stupid Tax". He literally got scammed by professional criminals. While crypto is not for all, the situation that happened to him was theft. If instead of it being crypto, he was lead to believe he was buying mutual funds but it was a scam, I don't think the call would have been handled the same. This is victim blaming

Tell that to the woman who needs an emergency abortion and now can’t get one, or the family of the people who died in the Jan 6th insurrection.
