Mom just take your time. It takes 9 months to grow a beautiful baby so take a year to heal body and strength. My doctor was so cool he said women should give there body a year to get back to where they were. You look awesome. Prays for all.

When our baby was in the NICU this year, our nurses would often lay a rolled up swaddle the same way you did and she seemed to really liked that.

Your husbands face when he holds Lexi , he looks absolutely besotted. Zander will be fine, he’s doing so well it’s hard for him to share mum and dad but he will get there. Just remember you are not alone your Heavenly Father is with you all the time xxxxxx

I love that you do what is best for your baby, regardless of comments from others. You are outstanding! Your body just gave birth to an entire newborn human! I pray you are giving your body PATIENCE and your mind and heart GRACE that you need as you heal and adjust to life with a five year old and a newborn. May God richly and sweetly bless your home and your lovely family!

Beautiful baby, beautiful family, beautiful mama! Thanks so much for sharing about your life during this crazy, special time. I’m due with my third (will have 3 kiddos, 4yo and under) in just a couple weeks so this video was inspiring to me. I’m praying I get a Lexi baby!! 😊
And I just want to add - be kind to yourself about the baby weight. You are breastfeeding and so loved by your family no matter the size. Give yourself grace and don’t get discouraged over it while you’re doing so well managing so much ❤️

I'm in my 60's and I remember well, I was exhausted and only had a 4 year old. It took me about a month to feel better and get my energy back. I learned to sleep when that baby slept and I went to bed early at night. I made supper early in the afternoon and kept for evening and that helped because by that time I was pooped. Baths, dishes and a load of laundry and I was done. Just remember that when she gets a little older she will nurse longer as she will regulate her milk supply. Hang in there mama! And Congratulations!!

My son also nursed every 2 hours. Now he is 6’5”, so apparently his constant need to nurse was because he was growing an incredibly huge body! Our daughters were better sleepers.

My husband's sister is 5 years younger. She grew up adoring her brother. He, on the other hand, like Xander, remembered the "good ole days with much fondness. Lol! They haved shared many similar interests and talk weekly. It's an interesting sibling dynamic being 5 years apart, but they're quite close.

Thank you for that. It means a lot as that's a big thing I dislike... but I hard balance to find... is when we portray life just perfect when it's not. Yet it can be difficult to know what to share and what is oversharing with the hard things. So thank you.

I think you are very smart in letting her sleep that way, my baby was asleep on her back and got so strangled from spit up that she quit breathing , at two months, called an ambulance and hospitalized to find out that her esophagus flap didn’t close, so then we had to have her sleep upright at an angle, and had to give her baby cereal to thicken her formula, and another thing, I think it’s so crazy that people bind their babies up, they are born out of the womb to grow and move and stretch, babies can’t move, it reminds me of the Chinese women use to bind their feet, please don’t give me hate mail over my last comment, it’s just my belief

Such a blessing to have nieces help you out with your flower beds. They did a wonderful job. Boy mom of 2 and 1 girl here and I must admit my boys never slept and ate all the time, especially my oldest who was a boy. I didn't think I would ever sleep a full night again LOL then my 3rd came a long and it was my daughter everything was so easy with her. She slept from the first night maybe got up once a night, but oh my I was thankful for sleep again. Now my kids are grown we joke and have good laughs about it all. I know in the season it can be hard but know it will pass. Once you adjust and develop that schedule it will be a breeze trust me and you will be saying this isn't so bad. Your little Lexi is just adorable and I can't wait to see pictures Xander will love playing with her as she grows and Nolan and her will have such a special bond Father and daughter just you melt your heart. Thank you for sharing your family with us. Be Blessed. God is good!

Add some baking soda to the dawn and peroxide, I just make a pile in my sink of those three, grab an old toothbrush mix together spread on stains, go on your merry way for awhile, till you think of it again, rinse out the spots, and no scrubbing needed.. works amazing every time for me... currently have a 3 1/2 mo.

Looks like things are going very well! So wonderful to have the nieces to help out with the flower beds! They did a wonderful job! So glad that you and Lexi had some alone time! Our kids slept on their sides like you are doing. The theory at the time was it was better if they burped up any milk. There wouldn't be any choking hazard because it would dribble out but if they were on their back, they might not be able to get it out. Love how Lexi looks at her Dad! She is staring at him! Xander might be sensitive to noise, so maybe he would like a special pair of earplugs for Lexi's noisy times! It will keep him busy, running to get them and putting them in, and make the noise more bearable. She looked adorable in the baby pictures! Laughed seeing Xanders feet going a mile a minute while he held her. Hope you two have lots of conversations because there are a lot of feelings going on in that bouncy boy! You look great! The hardest part is being housebound and not snacking so it's great you are able to get out!

Xander is such a good big brother. It's so sweet how Lexie looks at you and Nolan. She knows who you both are. The pics look so sweet. So proud you treated yourself to getting flower beds fixed. They are beautiful. Love your sweet family. So glad to see this video.

I feel for you and Xander’s sleep routine. It was a whole year before I got a full night’s sleep. It was awful

Hi, Jeannine :) I told my husband as we watched, "I'll try to spare her another story of how similar I feel that her birth story continues to be....but golly it's hard!" Once again, the connection here is a fun blessing. After our daughter Mia was born, joining our firstborn Zachery (who I've said is just SO much like your Xander...) then almost 3.5 yrs, I was all set to be sleep starved etc and it just didn't happen. Zachery would eat every 2 hrs on the dot, usually every 1.5 hrs beginning his hunger cries...so when Mia kept sleeping I was like, "wow, is this for real?" I really don't have to explain it any more as your description of Lexi & Xander was like me telling about Z & Mia, flashing back to the year 2000 when we brought her home tht Sept!! Often I'd joke and say, it feels like we just went thru the newborn stuff one time...instead of two times.
Isn't it neat how God reveals such different and uniquely special character in each of our children?
Mia continued to be pretty calm and more well... "still"..and Zachery was our enthusiastic dinosaur 🦕voice presence. What a joy it was to have some of each.
I love what Xander said about girls bring cuter and how Lexi was even the cutest at that.
    Precious🥰😇
I love how they swaddle babies now. I never knew about that but I do remember friends doing the rolled blanket sometimes. Our son liked to lay on his back constantly but our daughter preferred sleeping in her bouncy seat or car seat. I know tht probably sounds uncomfortable but she was so happy to be snuggled into a compacted area. If only I'd known about swaddling. I wonder if that's why her head turned out so beautifully round 🤔Interesting..bc she was often not smack dab on her back.
God Bless you all and I'll continue to pray for continued good health for you and the whole family as well.
Try not to focus on getting the weight where you want it to be, it will all happen in good timing although I know it was tough going through that and those feelings were definitely valid! We seem to just be hard on ourselves. We are truly our biggest critics but you are beautiful and, blessed with wisdom ❤at your young age 😉
Thank you for sharing these priceless moments of your lives. Makes me feel like yesterday was just 2000.
    Love & Hugs! Julie
P.S. My husband thinks the channel is called. "Xander." Because he must miss our little guy at tht age more than he'd like to admit🤭
