Our TIRING FINAL DAY and first GLASS HOUSE experience on P&O Aurora - DAY 5 and DISEMBARKATION VLOG

- Day 5 was our final full day onboard our P&O Aurora Northern Europe New Year’s cruise. The morning started by being woken up by the exercise class taking place in Carmen’s that was directly below our cabin. We missed breakfast and dined in a very busy Horizon Restaurant. We took the opportunity to explore the decks but unfortunately due to the bad weather the top decks had been closed. In the afternoon we took time to pack and attempted a power nap, but this was disrupted. We dined in the Glass House, for the first time ever, and were underwhelmed by the experience. The comedian in the Curzon theatre surprised us and we spent our last evening onboard in our favourite venue, the Crow’s Nest. On Day 6 we left our cabin before 8 o’clock and made our way down to the Medina Restaurant for breakfast, we were very surprised when we arrived at Deck 6. During our disembarkation in Southampton, we were unable to leave due to security.

We are Tom and Dom and we experienced our first cruise on the MSC Virtuosa during her UK staycation cruises in 2021. We are relatively new to cruising, however we can now say we are officially hooked.
Our mission is provide a fair and balanced review of our travels. We look at the types of food that is available onboard, from main dining rooms, room service, buffets and pool side snacks. We include menus for each of cruises so that we can share the selection of drinks and meals that are available. Entertainment onboard a cruise ship is important to us and we enjoy theatre production shows, live music, quizzes and game shows. We love to explore different ports and destinations and enjoy sharing tips and tricks so that you can make the most of each port. We often explore ports independently but also book excursions that are interesting to us.

Love all your videos and thus one was particularly useful in warning about cabins. We would have hated that one and its a wonder anyone books it. It would be interesting to know how many complaints they get about it and similar ones. Aurora is still definitely on our list though.
We would absolutely recommend Aurora but with caution. We know the cabins are known to the reception team as they told us they aren’t any good.

Something I’ve noticed a few times on your videos is that the stereo seems to be swapped around - eg when you’re talking on the bed the person sat on the right (Dom?) comes out of the left ear and vice versa!
Just thought I’d let you know as it’s a quirk I’ve noticed a few times and it always throws me a bit 😂

Is P&O the Brit version of carnival?
Haven’t been on Carnival yet but from what I’ve seen P&O is usually more subdued

One more question: happy to leave cabin by 8am and coach back home is booked for late morning, so what time would you say the long early breakfast lines start easing and what time is last disembarkation? Will be carrying own luggage off. Much enjoy your vlogs and hoping to get into Bruges next month ( with a sing session on a sea day if offered). All best.

We don’t do that every night but no point going to bed to be kept awake anyway
O dear what horrible experience you both had the noise in the cabin and staff who don't recognise a complaint and do anything to compensate you I will not travel with P@O
