The people in here have to be like detectives, policemen, jurors, prosecutors and defendants not something a lawyer usually does. They would work either as a juror, prosecutor or defendant
Kinjo wasn't taking any damn chances with that nighttime rule lol. But threading the doors, he really is Danganronpa's Light Yagami. Someone said it already, but the Kana is just メイド (meido). The blood spatter is covering part of the ド so they misread it as ト instead at first. I think it's supposed to say ※メイド but she probably didn't have the time or energy to make the dots on the X. Kana is mainly used for foreign words, which might be why most of them didn't immediately recognize it. Also I can't get over how when you select a "right answer," the sound effect is a "cha-ching" sound. It makes it so goofy lol.
I've actually noticed, that many of the sound effects were also used in an old game called "Gacha World", the "Got it" sound effect being the AOE attack, for example.
To explain that bit with message, the message says Meido (Maid). The first letter is the メ (me), the second letter is イ (i), and the third is ド (do, the added dashes change the To to Do), which because of her near death state, they all looked like Xs. Of course we find out the reasoning for that last X is because the maid did not end up being her killer so that was an actual X but, yeah I hope that helped in understanding the katakana bit. I really have to commend you for being able to translate all this as I know it's a pretty big task, but I appreciate it since most only know about the sequel.
I didn't know about sequel.....This is the first time watching a Danganronpa fan game made....also I don't know much about Japanese but somehow I thought about being written in katana....too much anime and a bit of studying on my own :))
All I know about the blood message is that it's supposed to say not maid if I'm remembering correctly Note: I got this from a friend and they could be wrong
Spoilers.... Yeah the original says Maid when Akane initially stabbed her. Ayame finished the job so she wrote a huge X next to it in order to imply it was not Akane. Very confusing if you can't read Katakana.
The conclusion about the dying message is a bit stupid, because they did it assuming that each X was a completely different letter. It is more absurd than Nostradamus' prophecies
Spoiler for end of video Wow... This whole time I was thinking the dying message was a name but the whole time it was just the word "maid". I feel so dumb lmfao
rei is more of a lawyer than that muscle dude, i had to say it
Obv
Yes
Ikr, like I love the muscle guy but he doesn't seem to act like a lawyer. Rei being a lawyer makes more sense.
If you think about it is he a lawyer in this format as seen in the trials or more of a lawyer in a structured way and follows precedure

I know Japanese and I thought that reading of katakana was very far fetched
All I know about the blood message is that it's supposed to say not maid if I'm remembering correctly

Well they couldn't figure the big X so I guess they only know Maid one

Gotta say this case is pretty good. Well thought out and better than the original despite its appearance. Thanks again for the translation
nah
DR1 trials are pretty bad all things considered
best DRA trials can rival best of DR's entire franchise
Love it!!! Keep up the great work!!!

I did *NOT* expect that…
Great job with the translation lol
Smart move Kinjo. That's why you are my favourite
The dying message doesn't mean 11037...? My whole life has been a lie.
Good translation as usual.
Yeah the dying message part is pretty confusing

Translations are amazing ty! I hope ayame , rei or akane Don’t die!
I thought the 3 X's mean the death toll at the trial and the big X the position of the murderer ...
