You know, I'll never understand why they stopped making these, or why people currently won't make something similar. It's the perfect size for someone wanting the "van life" that also wants to not feel so cramped. It gives just enough space for everything you'd want, and if you don't want it, you can renovate it to something you do want. And driving wise, it's not much different from driving around a van!

This motor home is exactly what the rock band, Poison used when they left the east coast for fame and fortune in LA around 86 or 87. Poison was the opening band in Baltimore, Essex actually for Wrathchild America, aka Shannon Larkin of Godsmack. Funny watching guys looking like girls coming out of Ken and Barbie's RV. That's what I see when I see these. Clean machine, man! Nice rig.

Cruzin Castles Sir, it was one of those nights that this happen. Things we have now to take pictures did not exist then, like cell phone cameras. Most times when we had warm up bands, we wouldn't know them until they appeared at the gig. Who knew "Poison" would be successful at that point in time. They were just some weird band who was carrying cardboard cut outs of sexy girls from their Ken and Barbie looking rig to use as stage props. The bass player Bobbi Doll ended up at my house that night because of a girl and next morning I drove him back to the Ken and Barbie machine so they could leave for California. That's the truth of it.

It has been well taken care of and stored indoors, but we will be doing a little remodeling here and there from time to time. The GMC owners are pretty dedicated to keeping them on the road. I remember motorhome sales got hit hard during the oil embargo. Today with such an inequality of incomes these nicer fully equipped RV are meant only for the few. Yours has a lot of innovative engineering. To get that same set up today with a diesel Mercedes I'm looking at an $88,000.00 cash outlay. I better stick to my little 12' utility trailer. As long as I got some electric, I've got air and/or heat. My little Honda Generator will run as long as there is gas in the tank. When that runs out. Time for a fire pit.

Awesome spacious move in condition when you bought the RV home I see. I see the old upholstery was made to match the outside original green and yellow paint. Cute RV. A beauty it is! All you need now is some tinted windows, it might help to keep her cool without much cost. Not to mention privacy will still being able to see the gorgeous woodsy outdoors scenery when you get to them.

The previous owner took great care of this ahead of it's time capsule.
It appears that it has fallen into the right hands.
Nicest I've seen of any era. What a beauty.

Drory Nadav Thanks Drory:) It actually doesn't have axles in the back, the four rear wheels are independent of each other. I'm waiting to have this discussion on the toll roads:)

Fantastic absolutely iconic motorhome! Way ahead of its time! I’m sure you’ve read the history. And seen some of the restored ones online. Makes a really stunning restoration! I like your model with the bed in the back rather than the bathroom Way better than the one with the bath in the back!Hopefully you’ll allow us to tag along your restoration journey,
