Jeremy, i am a recovering alcoholic. I can say that i wish i had never met my first drink, its definitely devastating even on a social level. Poison is Poison. Thanks for putting this on your platform, i hope this reached just one person to make the decision not to pick it up will be a blessing. Thanks
@ak46alex my friend owns little family bar old style..he has sugar and neuropathy in feet..that's enough to make you quit..pain all nite he says.. I stop have a couple tonics..buy a beer for some just so I socialize..but I don't get sucked in... looking at them now..I just say geez how long will he keep going
You gotta start somewhere. Don't put too much pressure on yourself and you'll slowly adapt to an alcohol free lifestyle with new habits and interests. It's definitely worth it. I was in the same position you're in three short years ago. 👍
My drinking is a habit in the evenings with a movie. I have been thinking about quitting. When I think about alcohol now, I think about poisoning my body. This helps me mentally connect the alcohol to my health. I quit for a few days and felt great. I started smoking at age 11. At age 28, the Dr. Said I'm pregnant. I couldn't see me harming my baby. I quit cold turkey and never looked back. So I think if alcohol the same way, I'm harming my body when I put this in my body. Is it really worth it. I'm turning 65 soon and want to enjoy a healthy lifestyle. So I'm on day 3 of no alcohol. Best wishes to everyone who is trying or has quit❤🎉
I was a law enforcement officer for 27 years . My last assignment was to hunt down internet Child Predators. What i didn't realize is my post work beverage, was alcohol. I was not a fall down drunk. I was not "drunk" daily, but I was drinking 2 bottles a week without realizing it. I stopped cold turkey one day after a hang over. It was very difficult because my drinking was a habit after work. Fast forward, after 7 years of zero alcohol, I was able to return to a beverage on occasion. I had retired and the work stress was eliminated. We moved to Florida, a place we all wanted to live. You are 100% right with the clarity. With the loss of friends. With the "I'm not fun anymore " but my kids say I'm happier without it. Long story short Jeremy, thank you for sharing your story. It's nice to see that my experience was not unique to me. Thanks again!
Thank you for sharing your experience. I have found with some of the friends I have lost - alcohol was the glue that keep us together. My kids would say the same thing especially since I have more energy after work now. I have found this quote so real "Sobriety delivers everything that alcohol promises." I wish you only the best my friend!
Thank you for sharing your story. Sadly, after my husband passed away last year, I turned to alcohol as a coping mechanism for the pain of losing him. I realized alcohol was literally destroying every aspect of my life, including my health. A few months ago, I finally decided to quit and attempt to regain my life back. My life has forever changed with the loss of my husband, but with God's help, strength and not drinking I am feeling much better... I thoroughly enjoy watching your inspirational helpful videos. Again, thank you.
@@drjeremylondon The Qoute hit me quite hard Doc, i follow you and watch your videos like my daily morning BP meds one at a time, learning a lot and eye opener too, have cut down my alcohol intake to only a peg now, have been to drinkinh a bottle of whiskey everyday for last 4 years now, keep uploading and teaching with your videos.
I also had an addiction to ice-cream. I felt like I had to have it every day even if it was to go across town to get that fix. I knew I had to stop. The way I have fixed not eating sweets is to never bring it into the house. I only had a little of something when it is a special occasion. Yes, to a lot of people sugar is as addictive as alcohol and drugs. As they say and it is true, it takes 28 days to break a habit.
@@kathystclair9485 I also don't bring sweets in to the house. I can have a drink now and then and it doesn't cause any problems. But ice cream and junk food cause me to pack on pounds like crazy.
I gave up alcohol when i was 49. My goal was one year. Well I am 54 now and have been alcohol free for 5 years and 3 months. The difference in life is amazing. Good job Brother!
"Sobriety delivers everything that alcohol promises." Wow. Those are strong words - words of wisdom indeed! Thank you for sharing your decision, recounting your journey, and the beneficial influence it has had on your life. What a positive role model for your son's! Congratulations on your 1000 days 👏👏 Dr. Jeremy, you are a remarkable human being.
Lonie! It's great to see you in the UA-cam comment section! I appreciate your kind words and all your support on all my platforms! So glad you enjoyed this content too!
I stop drinking alcohol, stopped smoking Marijuana, started eating whole unprocessed food and taking ice baths after my widow maker heart attack in 2020. Best decisions of my life. Thanks for sharing your story you’ve motivated me to share more often with my friends and family about what it’s like to live soberly.
Weird stopped drinking beer after construction job and 2 weeks later had emergency openheart surgery a triple bypass now can't hardly walk half mile what a set back I used to be real strong. 57 years old now can't earn a living on welfare SS what can you do but try to keep living.
I wonder if you had been drinking at the time of your emergency, would you have survived the surgery? Maybe stopping beforehand increased your survival? Either way, so glad you made it thu!
They say alcoholism is a disease. Why are they selling it? It's more than that. It's a drug an addictive drug. It's also considered a carcinogen! And it is more popular than ever. Best of luck!
582 days sober today, age 57, drank for 40+ years. I am a regular guy, in good physical shape, successful in business, great family, spiritual but not religious. On Feb 28 2023 I was in my car in the gas station parking lot at around 11am and 'something' spoke to me from somewhere beyond me. It was a voice that said 'I need you to stop'. It was no big deal, rather matter of fact, and then I heard 'I just need you to do that....OK?'. It was strange but completely normal at the same time. So I said yes. Months later I can now sit with people who drink, late into the evening, with no desire to drink, no urge whatsoever, with no judgement of those who drink. Its as foreign to me as 'Not Drinking' was when I drank. I am free. Now, others around me are inspired. I never preach, I never will, its not my business what others do or think or feel. Thanks for sharing, my brother. I see myself, all along, as I listen to you.
Good on you! Sounds like your angel or guide helping you. I had a similar experience when I was very young drinking age 13. My life started falling apart and I became morbidly depressed. It was more a thought that popped into my mind saying "it's the alcohol". I believe an angel or guide put it into my mind. I stopped at that time things got better then started up again and stopped on and off. I started drinking again 1 day on the weekends after stopping for a very long stretch and I get super sick the next day. Time to stop again.
My husband passed his 3 year mark of sobriety as of June 14, 2024. He was an alcoholic for 24 years. I am always proud of anyone who changes for themselves and no one should ever feel threatened by someone’s accomplishments. My father was killed by a drunk, my brother died after 6 months being in a coma from heart failure after a car crash, and my niece stayed severely crippled from an accident being a passenger. I will always be grateful and encourage anyone who wants to leave alcohol behind because it’s simply has destroyed my family and it almost cost me my marriage. Thank you doctor for sharing.
I'm so sorry....I am super proud of your spirits and you sharing is so encouraging to me and I'm sure to others....I just stopped after 25+ years on again off again... but I'm not out of the woods... although I never drive after drinking I get home and being by myself I tend to get strong urges for "just one" or two.....now I made the choice and it really does help when I read stories of people who have done it or are doing it ....much love to you and others on here ....thank you
Almost 1 year for me. Absolutely the best choice. My life is so full of peace and joy. Society sells us lies about alcohol. It's a money maker. The truth is coming out. I credit my guardian angel and Jesus for saving me.
@@lorieweyrick281 I am willing to start tomorrow, I hope I can do it as you, I am a daily heavy drinker, I am writing this while drunk, I pray god to help me every night, I hate myself, I will do my best to get rid of this trap
I had a heart attack Marc 21,2021. At 39. Went 482 days without alcohol. Decided to drink on vacation and the weekend after. That’s all it took for me to realize alcohol is not for me anymore!!! Sober life is the life for me!!!! 💪💪💪💪💪
Age 63, nearly 5 years dry. I woke up feeling horrible one day and decided to have 2 or 3 days off. Started feeling better immediately and decided, that it, I’ve had enough, I’m done with alcohol. This feels like adult behaviour instead of juvenile behaviour. I’m a grown up. I’m in charge now, not the booze.
I’ve been drinking for 30years now. Everything you say about the love for it and the whole lifestyle around it resonates with me, so true. The last 5 years of my life my relationship with my son has deteriorated, my wife, job, you name it. The level of self respect I have for myself is now non existent, depressed, overweight, can hardly walk down the street and I’m 44, embarrassing! I’ve been wanting to take the leap and eliminate booze for good, just feeds everything negative I have going on. So scared I’ll fail. Really appreciate the video dude, men like you are helping me get closer to making the move to get rid of it.
Me too. Let's try for the best. I'm starting walking in nature tomorrow if the hurricane doesn't destroy here. Just trying to get the craving away, and use mental attitude like Dr Jeremy here.
I've been a chronic drinker for 50 years. I managed to not get divorced, or jobless. I started to hurt inside, so I guess I've damaged myself. So I decided to stop. I told family and friends, "I've had enough, I'm done with alcohol". I went KETO to try and repair myself. I do feel better. But you know what really keeps me from going back? The Embarrassment of people finding out my words mean nothing, because I couldn't stop the booze. Your fear of failure and pride that you're still dry, is a powerful motivator. You'll quit if YOU want to. I still have a box of Vodka, Cognac, Brandy, in the closet sometimes I look at it. Maybe someday, maybe..Nah!..going on two years. (Edit, I like to drink Bud N/A. it's just like a real Bud with no burnout later on.)
I’m a physician as well and I quit breads/wheat, sweets and alcohol in the last year. Like you, I woke up one day and decided it was time for me to make a change in my life. Though I was active all my life, I had been putting on abdominal weight every year. It sounds extreme but the changes of diet were easy. I didn’t tell anyone (even my wife) that I was making these changes, I just chose different foods and skipped alcohol with meals and in social events. I wasn’t a big drinker but I would have a glass of wine or 2 with my dinner nightly. Those drinks as well as sweets and breads were providing calories that I didn’t need. In 2 months, I regained a much more youthful physique and just feel better. I may have an occasional drink, sweets or bread in the future but at this point, I think the benefits of skipping those items far exceed any pleasure I received from them.
January 1, 2019 stopped drinking all alcohol. (I love IPA beer and red wine). Dropped all food with added sugars. Lost 48 pounds and never felt better. I only drink water and caffeine free tea. Huge game changer for me. Great video!
@@drjeremylondon Thank you! Yes, I feel amazing. I went from 218 lbs. to 170 lbs. Lost about one pound per week. Flat stomach. Great sleep. Sharp mentally. I may have lost a few friends along the way, but so worth it. My restaurant costs are less than half of my pre 2019 levels (no alcohol will do it). I wanted to date thin, athletic women, so I had to make the change to myself. It worked!
@@jcnlaw That's great, but if you're talking only about the weight, it probably had more to do with cutting out the added sugars, although both are helpful.
After 26 years of binge drinking, I quit and now going on 13 months .. Alcohol is the biggest illusion that has been packaged nicely and sold to us.. Life has been AMAZING without alcohol in the last 13 months , never drinking ever again..!
At the age of 42, I stopped drinking alcohol when I started my first marathon training. It was the best thing I've done. Absolutely transformative. My biggest regret is drinking so much in my younger days when living in London and not running.
We all have our paths but now the opportunities are limitless moving forward. Keep crushing it and easily the most transformative decision I have made in my adult life.
Better later than never. I used to finish work in Picadilly and stroll to a friend's pub next to Lambeth station. I loved it. I wonder if I ever stop social drinking. I just enjoy it
Thank you for sharing. I quit drinking four months ago and I'm finally remembering what it feels like to be normal and human again. I completely forgot what it felt like to feel all my emotions and be just an actual human. I turned 40 a year ago and hadn't gone more than probably 5 days since college without drinking. Like you said about yourself, my mind has cleared up and I now fully feel all my emotions (both positive and negative) again without clouding them with alcohol. A part of me is ashamed it took me this long to realize what I was doing to myself and my body but I'm so grateful I decided to make this decision. Being 1,000 days sober for you is a great accomplishment - I have gone about 100 days and that's felt like a very long time. I look forward to the next 1,000+ days. Thanks again for sharing.
Experiencing life the way it was intended-the path is so clear, and it was a no-brainer choice after how good I felt. Thank you so much for your comment, and I wish you only the best, John!
I gave up alcohol a few years ago to support my husband who is on many medication. A week ago I went on a girls weekend and had some alcohol. I felt terrible and realized I don't need it to have a good time and I feel so much better.
I can’t wait for a 1000 days doctor I’m 4 days sober because of you and your videos. I’ve been having circulation issues and I believe it’s because of drinking since a teen . Thanks for you and your videos my friend I want a better life and clarity .
Thank you for sharing your experience. Had a Heart Attack at 47, I quit for a year but went back to drinking until I learned that alcohol was a big factor in my cardiovascular disease, it's toxic. Quit going on 2 years. Feel fantastic best life decision for me.
It’s been eight years for me with no alcohol. I used to think I could never live without it and now I never think about it. Just frustrated I spent thirty years letting it control me and how I didn’t take care of my health. I won’t lie, the first six months were difficult, but keep focused and you can get past it. Good luck everyone!
You just confirmed everything ive been thinking about alcohol for years. I quit 10 years ago and have ZERO regrets. I firmly believe that social drinking is destroying lives. Many Heart problems, cancer, financial issues/ decisions, divorces, dui's and deaths are related to alcohol. And all this alcohol is condoned by our society. Everyone is doing it. I wish more people would wake up. Life is lived more purely and clearly without alcohol. I think better and feel better. Sorry for the long comment, but you nailed it Doc.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your comment. I completely agree. It's the only drug where if you DONT do it people think you have a problem. Flipped on it's head. I hope the tide shifts and more people can live a life that feels better.
@drjeremylondon The fact that you took time to reply means so much to me. I believe your platform and voice is helping people. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us!
Congratulations on 1000 days! I quit alcohol in 2020 and I lost most of my friends, including someone I considered to be my best friend. I realize that my being alcohol-free felt like judgement to my former friends. I'm saddened by it, but I won't go back to drinking. With the handful (3) of people that I can still hang out with and not drink, made me realize how my former friendships and self-image was formed with alcohol at the center. I'm learning to value different kinds of relationships now, especially the ones that don't include alcohol as a priority.
@chrisg6741 I am over 1400 days since quitting alcohol. I had the same results in regard to losing most of my friends. All of them pretty much abandoned me and were unsupportive of my decision to hang it up on a whim and cold turkey at that. It took some time for me to realize that they were not really friends, they were simply just drinking buddies. Some of these individuals had been around for over 30 years too. Well… they continue to do what they do best, drinking like college freshman, just without me. Stay strong!
I could have written what you spoke about here. The growth that has happened to me in 5 years sober is amazing. I never thought I had a problem but the more sobriety I gain, the more I realize that I didn't have a healthy relationship with alcohol. I used it just as you , my social life and foodie life. Love your positive thoughts.
I’ve tried to quit drinking 100 x. Still doing it. Hate it. Listening to you gives me more motivation. I’m gonna do it I’m gonna stop. No regrets. I’m ready. Let’s go!!!! Thanks doc!
Start small. Small wins are still wins. Start with hours, days, and then the weeks. I'm rooting for you. Come back here to give me updates - I'll be keeping an eye out
Words aren't enough to express my gratitude Dr.London. Sharing your life experiences with us in such a manner is so special. The impact that it has is truly remarkable.
First off, thank you for sharing your personal experiences with alcohol. Since I saw your first video stating that alcohol is toxic to every cell in the body. I reduced my intake. At the same time I began to exercise and change my diet for healthier options. I attended an birthday party where the entire island in my friends kitchen was full of alcohol. In fact he purchased two bottles of my favorite vodka. I had only two drinks and drank water the remaining time. I find that my body is less interested in alcohol as my journey to healthier me advances. I want to thank you for your words and the method you share those words. I feel as if you are addressing me directly. You are the absolute definition of doctor. Keep sharing.
Thomas - I can’t thank you enough for such a kind comment. Just to hear you are making conscious decisions around alcohol intake, diet, and exercise is awesome. Really questioning those 3 aspects of my life changed everything for me. Keep fighting the good fight and I’m so grateful for your viewership and engagement!
Hi I’m sober since 7/29/1979. I was a bottom of the barrel alcoholic.aa gave me a college education, dream job, house paid for and on and on it goes. There’s nothing that a drink won’t make worse, and I believe it is easier to stay sober than get sober. So I am from the I don’t drink no matter what club. Luv u all!!!!!!!!!jan chgo
I really needed to hear this. I quit alcohol 4 months ago, I kept expecting some momentous change....I was feeling more clarity, less morning aches and blues, and a better sense of self. Then, just recently, I got sick with diverticulitis and had an absess on my large intestine. It resulted in a hospital stay, a temporary drain and surgery once this heals. My first thoughts were, why is this happening now, I am supposed to be getting healthy. My diet had greatly improved from late night chicken wings to high fiber meals with protein. But in the past few days, since the incident occurred I have discovered I AM healthier I am healing well and I have zero desire to ever go back to a lifestyle that negatively impacts my health. Getting sick was not a punishment for improving my health. In fact, it has only strengthened my resolve to continue this journey. Hearing your words helped even more!
It's unlikely that alcohol caused an abscess in your intestine, but not drinking alcohol and eating a healthy, high fiber diet will definitely hasten your recovery.
My father died a year ago at 60 years old. His cause of death was listed "ethanol use disorder". He was really the only man I had in my life who I confided in. It's made the past year of my life seem almost unreal. My grandfather also died in his early 60's, and both used alcohol and tobacco daily. I hope some of you fathers out there consider this man's testimony, and possibly mine as well. I'm a father myself and would hate to know I left my daughter's prematurely because of my poor lifestyle choices. Much in the way I think my father was taken from me prematurely. God bless all of you men, and I pray for your strength if you plan on getting sober, or quitting alcohol.
Great story! Thanks for sharing! I have cut back my drinking to 1 or 2 drinks a week, at most. I find that I just feel better without alcohol. If I have more than 1 drink a night, I wake up and feel lethargic and “off.” I’m not hung over, I just feel poorly. I’ve also found that I feel better if I have a glass of wine or champagne rather than a mixed drink…perhaps a sugar element as well. I have never been a big drinker, so most of my friends haven’t seen a huge shift. If I’m in the mood, I may order 1 glass of wine, which I’ll enjoy and nurse all night. Finding your balance and what’s right for you is a very personal choice (as you so clearly mention). This is working for me. Happy to hear about your journey!
@@drjeremylondon If you were, my cardiologist . They would have to kick us out of the office because we would be having a one hour lunk talk. Lol. You are 100% better than my cardiologist. I’m down to 178 pounds and feeling great and he’s like you could lose another good 20 pounds. I haven’t weighed 158 since I was in high school and if you look at me I’m pretty solid maybe 5 pounds overweight.
I am glad you mentioned Covid and vaccines,my Heart event resulting in 2 stents was soon after vaccinations .Great to hear a Doctor discussing real life events.Thank you.
967 days alcohol free, and I have never felt better across every possible metric-physically, mentally, and emotionally. The most significant benefit has been the substantial improvement in my mental acuity. I’m thinking quicker, clearer, and with greater depth in reasoning and problem-solving. I can let the little things go more easily than ever before. I admire your non-judgmental attitude: your body, your rules. For me, after thoroughly researching the science (Huberman) behind alcohol’s effects on my body and how it reacts to even one drink, the decision to quit alcohol entirely became an easy, no-brainer choice. I would encourage everyone who is considering a change in their drinking habits to at least try going AF, even if for just 30 days. It just may be the best personal investment of your life and the lives of those you love and who love you.
👍👍👍 now you are talking like a true genuine man I’m glad you realized that alcohol is dangerous God bless you, your family, your children, and your future generations.
Great video, Dr. London! Interestingly enough, I’ve never been able to tolerate alcohol; it literally made me sick every time I drank any type of alcohol. What I found applicable though is the difficulty of getting off of sugar, really evaluating and making the choice each time, knowing the detrimental effect to our bodies.
Sounds like your body’s instruction manual ruled out alcohol early on. I’m actually making a video on sugar and its effects on the body this week! Stay tuned
Congrats Dr. London 🤙🏼 5 years 3 months sober today. I stopped cold turkey at the age of 32 because alcohol was causing me to lose my mind. Like you, I have never made a more positively impactful decision than quitting alcohol. The consequences are non-existent and the benefits are endless!!
This video is inspiring and motivating. I am quite sure there will be people that take a moment and realize your self assessment is relatable and actionable for their own self care and wellness. Just taking a walk and sharing your story. Thank you! 🤓👍
I rarely drink, but those who stop drinking or who never have drunk often forget why people do it. There is a reason people drink, and in the short term it has clear positives. Relieves stress, makes one more contemplative, makes people more socially open, givens one a different perspective. Annoys me people are so dogmatic, as I say there is a reason people drink. Personally I drink very rarely now, I don’t want it in my life. But I also don’t forget some amazing experiences I have had heightened by alcohol
Thank you for sharing your experience. Our son is in his 12th year of no Alcohol. His life has changed as powerfully as yours. May you continue to go forward in your Powerful new way of life. Thank you.
Thank you for this. Ive been weening myself off alcohol for past couple years. Not because I have a problem with it but because I fell better without it.I’ve gone months without drinking and then have a drink or two for the occasions and might even over indulge from time to time which causes me to not drink for weeks. I’m currently at that juncture that I am making the conscious choice not to drink more and more. This morning I woke up to this video first thing as I checked some of my favorite subscriptions (yes you’re one of them😊). Your message inspires me! Going to give it up for good. Don’t need. I’m 61 and want to continue to be youthful and vibrant inside and out. I work in the retail cosmetics industry. It makes a huge difference with my facial contours. No saggy face. No puffy eyes, no stained wine teeth, no sluggish feeling, achy bones, moody day. It’s not worth it anymore. So that’s it! After two weeks of zero alcohol I’m going to make the decision NOT to drink again. On my sons 26th birthday! Thank you Doctor! Please share your replacement beverage. I like to pour Kombaucha over ice with a squeeze of lime. It tickles my nose , tastebuds and tummy. Kind of the experience that whisky had for me but without the negative after side effects. Thanks again for sharing! 🙏✌️☺️

In 2023, I, too, went alcohol-free for six whole months. I wanted to cleanse my liver. I must say, I did feel good without alcohol. I stopped being alcohol-free in December, because Christmas was coming up. I have drunk ever since, but moderately, I hasten to add. I have only ever been a moderate drinker anyway.
👍 I quit 29 years ago in my thirties. I have felt so much better physically and mentally over the years, words just can't describe how much a difference it has made in my life!
At 79, that was special. Alcohol and tobacco have been part of our cultural for thousands of years. Reformed smokers and alcoholics ( not saying U) that preach can be difficult to deal with, but your take about the subject was gentle, appropriate for you, and necessary for helping your patients!
Your perspective on going without alcohol in your life is so interesting! I rarely drink alcohol, but it's a rarity because I had given up consuming it regularly a few years ago and also noted that not only did I feel better, but I desired it less and less. Thank you for sharing your journey! ( also thanks for sharing the journey through your heart attack and treatment! Everybody I know who was associated with alcohol cause destruction in their lives...
Thanks for the video. I haven't been a drinker since my school days and I have never smoked which probably contributed to surviving my heart attack. I had back and quad muscle pain for years before the attack which all went away after my stents and grafts. I haven't had COVID as far as I know and I was vaccinated and boosted since the heart attack with no ill effects. Losing weight and being more active has been a huge positive for me.
The first thing the Cardiologists asked me after my widow maker was, do you drink? The stent and rapid intervention saved my life( 99% occluded). I’m not an alcoholic, but used it regularly to deal with stress. I stopped drinking and did IF and tried to clean up my act. I lost 15 lbs quite easily. Am retired and focusing on basics ie whole real food, exercise and stress management. Ice cream has always been my weakness.

@drjeremylondon Thank you so much for your response. I really enjoy that quote. It holds so true! Keep up the good work!
🎉Good On You!
I quit drinking alcohol 2 years ago. It really wasn't that hard for me. Now, if I could only stop eating ice cream.
I felt the same way. From the day I made that decision it’s been a breeze. Sweets can be tough!
You’ll be a smarter person &. The LB’s will drop off

Something I’ve always wanted to do. Here’s to Day 1.
@joziewales1965 it's kinda easy to stop..when you had enough of listening to the boozers..you'll be like this is so gross
Give it a shot!
🔥
Love it. I’m on day 15
They say alcoholism is a disease.
I love this comment! Thanks!
My beautiful young daughter was “that voice” for me back in Jan 2022. Done drinking since then.
Same I can be at bar with 30 peeps taking shots and just lift my glass of water
@westnewwest4325 that's a blessing
Happy for you, I want to start tomorrow, I hope I can
16 years for me and still have to choose everyday to not drink. One of the best decisions I have ever made.
@@Adventureswithbecky that's great👍
@@lorieweyrick281 I am willing to start tomorrow, I hope I can do it as you, I am a daily heavy drinker, I am writing this while drunk, I pray god to help me every night, I hate myself, I will do my best to get rid of this trap
Love the mindset! Your future self will thank you for your decisions
I MAKE THE SAME DECISION 31 YEARS AGO , I HAVE NEVER ALCOOL SINCE THEN , AND I AM PROUD TO SAY THAT I NO MORE NEED IT , SO WELL DONE FOR YOU
That’s awesome to hear! Keep crushing!
Be afraid of what happens if you keep drinking.
You got this man, I’m rooting for you. 💪
The Embarrassment of people finding out
my words mean nothing, because I couldn't stop the booze.
Your fear of failure and pride that you're still dry, is a powerful motivator. You'll quit if YOU want to.
I still have a box of Vodka, Cognac, Brandy, in the closet sometimes I look at it. Maybe someday, maybe..Nah!..going on two years. (Edit, I like to drink Bud N/A. it's just like a real Bud with no
burnout later on.)
Drink cbd drinks
Sounds like we were in a similar boat. So glad to hear you feel better. This is the best I have felt in a long time. I wouldn't trade it for anything
January 1, 2019 stopped drinking all alcohol. (I love IPA beer and red wine). Dropped all food with added sugars. Lost 48 pounds and never felt better. I only drink water and caffeine free tea. Huge game changer for me. Great video!
That is so awesome to hear. That takes a ton of willpower and discipline. I bet you feel like a whole new person and 48 pounds lighter!
Agreed!

It’s been eight years for me with no alcohol. I used to think I could never live without it and now I never think about it. Just frustrated I spent thirty years letting it control me and how I didn’t take care of my health. I won’t lie, the first six months were difficult, but keep focused and you can get past it.
For sure; alcoholism is out of control in probably every country.
No alcohol for 8 years and 9 months for me. I’ll be 65 in October, my mind is functioning better than ever, and I feel good physically. All Good!👍

I could have written what you spoke about here. The growth that has happened to me in 5 years sober is amazing.

Praise God for his wisdom you accepted. Keep it up because your wife and children love you and need you,and you have a mission to keep going with,,

Thank you....from a Mom with children with alcohol dependency.

Congratulations! You are a good example! I hope my husband watches this video.

Stay tuned

As a Muslim I never had a single sip of alcohol in my life...I think No alcohol is the best way of life....
You're not missing anything. Don't drink and don't smoke. There are plenty of other pleasures to enjoy in life.

I drink very rarely, maybe a glass once a month, im 55yr old woman, generally im very tired and aggrivated with everyone and everything, and get very irritable, i work in a pharmacy been so for 20 + yrs and get aggravated with the redundancy of every day things, its getting worse, im going to see a doctor this Tuesday, i hope she can help me i don't think what i drink is affecting how im feeling i think its deeper 😢😢😢..i love your positive videos and your knowledge.
One thing I’ve noticed about all these stopping alcohol vids. Not one person has regretted quitting alcohol. That much is loud and clear.
Thank you for your comment and your support! I'm glad the content resonated with you!
As a cardiac nurse who's worked with 1000 patients who present with serious denial of their symptoms, it's really valuable to hear your raw accounts of what was going through your head!)
That is amazing!!! I rarely drink and soon will stop
I would recommend everyone trying it to see how you're body responds
This is brilliant, fairplay, on the way, also. Truth though, takes courage.
Thank you!
I haven't had a drink since 1984.. I was sick and tired of the hangovers and vomiting..
Amen to that!
@@drjeremylondon thank you, not only that because I stopped drinking but I seen the destruction that it causes...
tell me more only 34 years
@@patrickprendergast9589 after I did not want to associate with alcohol was pretty rough for me on The dating platform. A lot of girls didn't want to go out because they said I wasn't that type because I didn't drink. I wouldn't even have a glass of champagne at my daughter's wedding. Everybody I know who was associated with alcohol cause destruction in their lives...
Well spoken. 👍🏼
thank you!
Best thing I did was to stop my alcohol intake, stop smoking and increase my exercise.
It will make you a new person!
Great message! Thanks for sharing Dr.!
So glad you enjoyed it!
During that 1000 days they’ve now shown alcohol is linked to cancer. Great to leave it behind!
Amen!
Thank you for the comment Dan! I'm so glad you are feeling better. I was new person after I got my stent put in!
I don't drink alcohol, I never smoked in my life..
Amazing to hear! No reason to start now!
Great video and from a personal standpoint as well.
Sharing your cardiac procedure for a stent was informative as well as very personal. Thank you
I'm glad the video resonated with you! I appreciate you watching
I quit drinking in 2010. I lost every party friend. I found myself.
Amen - most important. Once you find yourself, you will find others similar
Great video and great advice!
Thank you so much!
Sounds like you are focusing on all the controllable! Keep crushing it!
