TACE का मतलब है: Transarterial Chemoembolization। यह treatment arteries के through होती है। कुछ agents को Arteries में inject किया जाता है।
2:35 TACE किन Patients में किया जाता है?
जिन patients में HCC (Hepatocellular Carcinoma) पाया गया है उनमे TACE Procedure किया जाता है। Hepatocellular Carcinoma यह एक Primary Liver Tumor है। कई बार TACE Secondary Liver Tumors में भी use किया जाता है। जैसे की Breast Cancer और Colorectal Cancer ऐसे cases में TACE किया जा सकता है।

TACE Procedure के side-effects बहुत ही uncommon है। Operated area में 1-2 दिन pain होना या फिर Fever आना यह कुछ common side-effects है। जहा से TACE Inject किया जाता है वह Hematoma भी हो सकता है।

One of my relative had liver tumor,the hospital had two kind of treatment,one was tare and the other one was tace,but the doctor was persuading for tare treatment,when the patient opted for tace treatment as the tare treatment was expensive,the doctor told him that tace treatment is a temporary treatment,it would not cure, as the tumour would surely come back after 1-2 years, whereas tare treatment is better,as it would 100 percent destroy the tumor cells,and the chance of reoccurring of tumor cells is very less in comparison to tace treatment,but there is hell and heaven difference between tace and tare treatment,as the tace treatment comes anywhere between one lakh twenty-five thousand to one lakh fifty thousand whereas tare treatment price is over ten lakhs
