Happy to see Ale No. 16 .. also one of my favorites 😊
Grats, you found the Danish version of Captian Picard. Well done
Great video. Your dad seem like a very nice guy. The apple does not fall far from the tree. Hope he enjoyed his visit to Denmark?
Love Fanø Bryghus. They make a lot of nice beers. I like their Gorm The Old, their Black, Red and White Wedding and their Lynghvede best, but I’ll drink almost anything from them, I’m not picky. 😀
I wish I could go back to Fanø some day, but thankfully I can order the beers directly from the brewery and have them send it.
Malurt in English is wormwood. It is a name for several plants in the aster family, which have small yellow flowers and a strong aromatic smell. Some wormwood species are used to make liquor or absinthe.
This was so much fun to watch. I couldn't stop laughing at 46:14 when you're like, so many awkward... And your dads response "And none of them were good" xD
Haha, it was a lot of fun, I’m glad you watched until it started going off the rails :).
I’m glad I never tasted it. Bitter is not my thing. 😂
Yay we love watching Captain Jean-Luc Picard ;)
Who doesn’t really? Always fun to host him at the house for beer drinking :).
Love your show :D Keep on Rocking.
"åben" [o-ben] = open 😊 - no big deal, Josh 😂
øl ['oe'l] ~ ale
Always a pleasure to see your videos (and Ale no.16) 🤗
Thanks!
Loved the last 20min of this!
Thanks! As I was editing and watching it all again, I felt the same :).
I love watching your videos!!!
Thanks!
for a moment I confused Peter with Lasse Sjørslev, TV2 host and husband of Josefine Høgh 😂
Tak, det var så hyggeligt
Hi Travelin' Young,
Do you know that Bruce Springsteen plays in Odense 9. july next summer?
About 50 thousand tickets will be sold, so you'll have to be quick if you want any.
I did see that on instagram a few minutes ago.
Lots of fun !1 I like it !!
It was a fun night!
I think it’s called snakebite, the mix of cider and beer
Great video. Is it Jean-Luc Picard drinking beer?
Nothing like a few beers to loosen the tongue🍻
The strongest beer 🍺 in Denmark 🇩🇰, is The Eisbock 38 beer 🍺 - Frederikshavn Bryghus - 38,03% is actually from Frederikshavn Bryghus, Frederikshavn, Denmark 🇩🇰, by the way my friend / my friends 😃😃🙂😎😁🤜🏻🤛🏻🤘🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🍺🍺🍺🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
Ale. no 16 is fantastic, i know the guy who owns the brewery, very nice guy! :)
If you're refering to John, I'm sorry to tell you he died in 2020. He is missed!!
His wife and son (4th generation) are now running it - It's the same beer and the same spirit 🥰
This summer they experimented with making a brunsviger øl 🙃
I think most Danes know of bologna as mortadella. There is the (generally) higher quality imported Italian mortadella in most supermarkets and Italian delis here, which is like bologna with cubes of white fat embedded in it. In fact, American bologna gets its name from Mortadella di Bologna, the PGI protected traditional version of mortadella.
Funny you mention TO Øl i work there
I’ve missed your beer tastings. I was in Copenhagen and Áarhus in Sept and enjoyed more than a few local beers. Skōl!
Haha, it’s been a while, but we had fun with my dad visiting!
I loved it when Peter said... it tastes evil. Hahahaha. Best description ever. The word will be a punchline for the rest of your lives. Awesome! Love you guys!!
I want to see the beer bottle up close 🤓
seems like try it on tuesday is back :-))
Haha, maybe ;)
Ægte hygge 🎉
Tak!
Malurt is old danish for Møl-urt just like the swedish word Malort. It's the same shitty herb they put in absinthe. Thujon is poison, so the low concentration makes it safer to drink than traditional absinthe but I think they make the absinthe without thujon now to :D
🤢
Whenever someone burps in our house (which happens often due to being 6 inhabitants), we say Prosit (gesundheit) because, what else are you supposed to say? 😅
Ale No. 16 brilliant beer :D
Solid showing, a classic.
The alcohol seems to hit you around 30 minutes in the video 🍻
By the way, don't ever freeze Danish snaps or bitter it has to be served at a temperature between 16 to 18 degrees celsius
the colored snaps - room temperature. The clear snaps (90 proof) danish white lightning frozen!!
@@zymelin21 I would definitely say that it should NOT be frozen! When the schnapps is frozen, most of the flavor and the small nuances that can be found in different aquavits disappear. All that remains is the taste of alcohol, which is why many people don't like Christmas schnapps.
So don't freeze schnapps, leave it at room temperature and enjoy it instead.
I think you hit the nail on the head - freeze if you don’t want to taste it and keep at room temperature if you do. I’ll keep mine cold :).
@@TravelinYoung Ahh but I like the taste of Rød Aalborg along with the herring 😉
@@TravelinYoung I keep mine just in the fridge these days. I am getting getting older and wiser
No bud-lights?!? 😂
Ick
Jeg bliver fuld bare. Kigger med. Hahaha
Love it!!
Best American beer: Shiner Bock from Texas.
malurd is in fact a rood and what you geris drank is a extract that is marked for add taste to snaps ore bear to give bitterness it is not mead to bee drunken pure
Ale 16 mixed with 1 or 2 shots of mead is amazing
I’ll have to try this!
@@TravelinYoung Ale No16 is really good! - But has to be served really cooled for maximum enjoyment. You can even mix it with "Limfjordsporter" (which is a really, really dark (almost too dark to drink in itself) porter style) for good effect.
- Many tubers put timestamp links into their descriptions, like:
01:20 Gold Tuborg
01:56 Budweiser
02:32 Mikeller IPA
...and so on...
Just a suggestion (makes everything more "navigatable" for the rest of us). Keep it up and enjoy those beers! ;)
Fanø øl :)
skål :-)
Ale Nr. 16 was good untill the production wend to Poland
I once had a few beers from Belgien, they where fruti and dangerous as you could not really taste that they where from 11-15%
Beerlandia is what I call Belgium. Lots of great beers there.
true but they are also strong :D
p.s I was 13 whe I stareded to drink, we are better now

Some basic sound editing here would do alot to get this to the next level! There is a lot of echo :)
Up untill year 2000 Carlsberg and Tuborg had monopoly on bears in DK. And almost every dane belived this was the best bier in the world. US has reinvented bier brewing and danish micro breweries has embraced the US ways of brewing beers. Europe biers is tradition. US biers is development. Espescially the new hops you've invented. Both have a place, but I really like the US style beers
Sorry, but the sound is awfull this time. It is very difficult to hear what i s said.
Hi Joshua, since you have an interest in beer tasting, my wife and I would like to invite you, Miranda and Maya for a weekend in a small village in Jutland just southwest of Kolding.
Beer tasting is for men only and ticket price is 450 DKK including food, a well known standup comedian and all the beer you can drink from all over Western Europe.
My wife and and I can provide 2 bedrooms with double beds and own bathroom free of charge for the weekend.
The host for beer tasting is our local mechanic and he has seen your youtube contributions too and also would like to see you.
My wife would be happy to try to entertain Miranda and Maya while you and I are away for the evening. The beer tasting event is on 23/2-2024 from 6 pm.
Brisquet is very welcome too. I love dogs and we have lots of areas where he can run freely.
If you and your family are interested, please let us know before Christmas.
Best regards
Calle
The danish one Are borring. 🤣
