I am a Swede and used to fish a lot when I was younger. When you fish like you do and in the more shallow waters, as your experiences show - you will get perch and pike (small, but perfect in the kitchen). In Sweden the zander goes deep during the day and is not very active. If you want to catch zander, try in the evening, also in deeper water but with lures that go close to the surface. There you might get only zander actually. Just when the sun has settled, you might see a lot of small fish jumping around - there is the zander. I now live in Austria and haven´t fished for many years - but I have watched folks fish down here. The zander here works completely different, it is often active during the day AND in shallow (murky) waters. I hope this advice reaches you in time, and that you have days to try it out!
No wonder you wasn't catching many zanders with that many pike around bro . DB the pike whisperer 😄 they heard you was in town and come flocking too the boat 🤣
you never use to just sling fish back like that, you should respect the fish more, if a newcomer sees that and just starts lobbing pike in the water its going to damage and possibly kill the species we love to fish for. cmon DB be better man.
Thanks for stating this bro I was thinking same thing no respect, and he lost sight of where he was and how good the going was crying cz he was catching perch after perch and pike after pike what every1 dreams of.. Came across like a whiney brat in this video

Just what I was thinking when I saw the pike release
Agree! It looked like he was disgusted catching something so “small”.
@@jasonrenshaw9010 exactly where I’m from it’s hard to catch pike and I’m happy even when I catch a small jack
Acting like a lot of the bass fisherman in the states. Just not a good example for new anglers

A bit more consideration for the fish would be nice, no need to throw them back like that!😡
