I travel well over 350 miles to fish a well known pike water thats renown for its BIG Pike! The day was incredibly tough, but luckily, one simple change to my approach made the difference and... I got what I travelled for🐊😮

Thank you, me too! Really it depends on the water and the day you’re fishing. I chose a brighter lure due to the visibility in the water, you could’ve chose a bigger lure that gives off more water displacement so they can sense the lure easier if that makes sense. The size depends on what they’re targeting too, if they’re smashing smaller fry then match that. Vice verser

Savage Gear SG2 Power Game Rod 8ft 6 70-130g and the net was provided by the fishery but was the daiwa prorex boat net
What depth were you fishing? Ive been using the multi vibes aswell but in deep water not effective for me
A variety of depths, 1m and deepest in that day was 4m
Where you using hindsight option on the GoPro? Nice session on my favourite lake

@@davesgonefishing322on a day like that I was out fishing for 8 hours and went through 6 batteries. I’d recommend getting a portable battery pack

Hi again, what SG casting rod is it that youre using, i see its a sg but what length and classification?
Also, the reel Abu Max Pro is an older model as the new(latest) ones are white? Im buying a revo 5 X reel to my Westin 8'3"20-80g and my jerkrod zilla pike 30-80g 6'6". The zilla rod casts as good as the w3 rod with light and heavy so it kind of got obsolete after a month in my care. But it is really nice to find a rod that suits you perfect! Got one for fixed spool and now one for baitcasting.

Advice please, iv bought a frog do I tie it straight to my braid or use a wire to braid 😃
Wire trace all day long! In this video I was using the westin pro leader. Even if using small frogs for topwater perch a finer gauge wire is essential
