There isn’t a gap after he pushes it down? What are you talking about? This video is simply “pushing the feral back down” he’s done exactly that. It’s either this or replace it, and a lot of golfers don’t know how to replace them. This will/has helped thousands of people I’m sure lol.
Thank you, i didn’t know what to do. I was gonna go get it fix cause I didn’t know if it was broken or not. But I tried it and it’s back in place. You’re a lifesaver
careful not to heat the glue holding the head on... this is not the best way to fix a ferrule. Typically we would reglue the head and attach a NEW ferrule.
I would use a hairdryer to heat it up, that way you don't risk water getting inside and rusting the shaft. If it moves up and down try using epoxy glue.
Only a minute or so. Just enough to heat the epoxy to make it gummy. Is there anything blocking between the ferrule and the hosel? If so, you can trim it with a razor, then put a drop of epoxy there to lock it in place once it moves. Remember: it moved without force from being in a hot car or something without force so it should move back without force.
@@steve.g1582 You can wrap the ferrules with a leather glove or something to protect it and use pliers for a better grip. Just don't damage the ferrule if you like the looks of them. I wouldn't use the torch, though.
How is that a "fix" when you still have a gap? If you're going to "fix" something, you should do it right.

What is this voodoo liquid?
Without glue it will surely slide back up again.
I found steam from a kettle works well Brad

Thank you! Great save, I was about to lose it!
My wedge ferrule is so louse that it pops on and off. Is there anything I can do to fix that? Thanks
Great tip, worked perfectly.
Thanks, Ally. Glad it turned out!
that iron head looks amazing, thanks for the tip!
Just did this after I watched, great tip!
Just done this.... it works !
Superb tip, worked a treat 👏
Glad it helped!
What prevents it from moving back down?
The epoxy hardens after it was gummy from the heat. For extra security, you could put a drop of epoxy on the shift before sliding it back up.
Keep the clubs out of the TRUNK of your car.
Yes clubs do not belong in the the trunk of your car great tip!
A drop or 2 of super glue also hold the ferrule back in place.

I tried this and mine didn't work I could not get it to move. How long did you leave it under water
