I've owned both the hammer s and now a wide glide.hammer is a better bike as far as handling brakes vibration gauges placement and power.but as far as cruising goes how can you beat a Harley they r just cool bike.victory for hard ridding Harley for cruising and cool factor in my opinion.
the fact that you had to constantly lead this guy with questions, tells you everything you need to know. he does not like this, or any cruiser bikes. it's like pulling teeth with him...
I don't get the point of the Hammer S. The Gunner will pull your arms out of their sockets and threaten to push you off the seat, so why all the extra power? In that riding position you just get pushed back and feel uncomfortably vulnerable.
Have you tried the Hammer on long-term drives? What is the seat comfort like on longer rides (… compared to cruisers like the Raider…) and how does it behave with potholes? Thank you for the answer in advance :)
've been on many trip with mine (2009 S with a few options) and in most trip, there were "long" 700-900 kms (even did a few 1000-1100) and once, it was 2 times 4 times in a row (Montreal to Colorado) so... for me, no problemo with the comforrt, but... that is relative. same for the twisties.. I enjoy everyone of them, loosing my friends ... but that's me. so.. the bike is well capable, but needs a rider who will be looking for some "challenge" here and there, enjoying it, not going against it.
I hate my stock seat for many hours long rides. For around town it's fine, but as I'm planning some long rides in the future i will be getting another seat.
if not done, hurry, the last ones are going out, in rebates. then you'll have to look at an Indian, to find that quality. Bet that Indian will make some "victory descendents" in a year or two..
I love chrome. And no it's not an all day job. 1hr. 15min. done with the whole bike, washed, waxed, chrome polished, and all rubber armoralled. Like the looks but it won't carve 2 lane black top roads. Those pegs scrape way early.
I rode a hammer s about 5000km and it can really carve up the twisties if you are willing to put in the effort and shift your weight around.for the size and weight of the bike it does more than you would expect.mine had a stage one exhaust and tune running Avon cobra rubber I litterly would peel rubber strips off the rear after some faster riding through twisties.awsum bike never missed a beat now I own a Harley and it feels old school compared to the Vic even though the Harley is a year or two newer than the Vic but hey man a Harley is like the marlin Brando or Steve McQueen of bikes you know it's just got that cool factor.anyway stay safe out there
Lol as a sport bike guy, a victory will be my first cruiser. I love em.
I got one because of the look. It's so nice
As a former racer and sportbike rider the Victory Hammer S is my first ever cruiser..
Update! I got a Victory Jackpot back in 2020! Love it! For a chopper you can ride it like you stole it, super comfy too (for a chopper)@@ZebraActual
@@iant720 I've just bought a hammer S that looks identical to the one in the video (even the exhaust) and has only covered 6k miles 👌🏼
@@chrischick2395 Nice! Get riding! I put 15k on mine :)
Better than HD any day or night!!!!

You know the rules. If you have to announce the fact... it's probably not true.

Seeing the Manitoba plates on this bike and me knowing there was a small number of these bikes leads me to think this is the bike I currently own.
Where did you find the 2 into 1 with the long muffler I think you said they are Victory accessories.

Clint Rockfist That's good news! I'm looking at getting a new bike next spring. definitely going to check these out first.

Chop No... I have a 2011 XC and love it! Can see out my side mirrors all day long!!
Nice looking bike, but for me it needs a round headlamp and symmetrical exhaust pipes, then perfect !!!
You are very / too used to seeing / looking at Harleys ...
@@andrewdods2236 just know what I like, but not normally a HD guy, prefer my Honda CB1100 EX 👍🏻
Honestly the dude sounds very "eh... it's fine. It's "nice"
