Absolutely fantastic video, very well presented, my old pal RM Bandsman Andy Clitheroe joined the RM band and was one of the lads lost in the Deal bombing, never forget you Andy, and i went into the pipes and drums,, i loved performing with the RM band at the Edinburgh Tattoo you just shine and the whole world loves your performance's, thank you so much for posting Sir and Maam
This video shows the talent and musicianship of every Royal Marines Musician. Having served from 1961 to 1973 as a member of the Royal Marines Corps of Drums I recognise the sheer professionalism of these musicians ..... (David Hadfield) It makes me extremely proud to have been involved with hundreds of ceremonial occasions during these 12 years, including the 1964 Royal Marines Massed Bands Tercentenary on Horse Guards Parade and the 1966 Royal Marines Massed Bands World Cup Final at Wembley.
Fantastic. Proud to have been a bandy myself and in response to the heritage I’d add that the versatility of the bands has progressed significantly in the last 30 years so we really did leave it in safe hands. Well done Royal!
What a wonderful and amazingly professional tribute to the Royal Marines Band Service. I had to watch twice: the first time to concentrate on the video presentation and engaging narration and again, perhaps more importantly, a second time to fully appreciate the outstanding musical performance and artistic capabilities of the RM Band Service performing the background music. Bravo Zulu to all Royal Marine Musicians past and present. For anyone unaware, the RM Band Service had a formidable and direct impact on the formation of the Royal Canadian Navy's School of Music which was established in 1954 at HMCS Naden in Esquimalt, British Columbia. A number of the school's first instructional staff were recruited from the Royal Marine Band Service. "Per Mare per Terram."
Brilliant Video. It is amazing how much history could be crammed into a twenty minute piece of film. First saw this in the Virtual Concert of 2022 Mountbatten, but this was much clearer and enjoyable.
Admirable and nicely explained historical video presentation . Well done to HM Royal Marines , to the past , present , and to the future Royal Marines . Nice of you to have mentioned your Gibraltar Block in Portsmouth . Your historical links to Gibraltar since , 1704 . 317 year's . Very proud of you all . With Best Wishes . British Gibraltar UK Overseas Territory 🇬🇧
Absolutely Hoofin presentation from start to finish ,and just goes to prove that the RMBS goes from strength to strength in each and every performance ,BZ to one and all .
I've noticed the current Principal Director of Music (Lt.Col Jase Burcham) managed to get himself in the video as a Musician below decks almost getting drowned at 08.55. Haha, very funny ..... the whole video has been superbly put together, as usual !
Incredible video. Thank you so much for uploading thsi humbling and inspirational clip. I have the highest respect for all that have been and are part of the Royal Marines Band. They never ever fail to enjoy me. They conquered my heart at age 8 years, that's 58 years ago, when I experienced them for the first time on parade. My jaw dropped when I learned that by now 40% of the bands members are female. Wonderful.
Having served in the RAOC,the RMBS are the best of the best in service and a national treasure. I fell in love for Military Band music from an early age thanks to my Father who served in the Manchester Regiment during WWII and in the Malayan campaign. So to all of the RMBS..... Thank you for your service and thank you for your superb professional musical skills and the pleasure one gets every time I here your music 🎶 .
Thank you for this. I have always wondered how this band was established. I had no idea of how extensive their history is and how their ongoing activities still keep them performing.
Hallo, ich komme aus Germany, sowas schönes haben wir nicht, es ist sehr beeindruckend, vielen lieben Dank, das ich sowas noch erleben darf, ihr seid super, Gruß Achim
Of coarse you do, you have the wonderful sounding flute and snare drum, in fact germany probably the best at these... No need to feel ashamed of some of the best marching music which oftern comes from ww2, never be ashamed of who you are or your roots either...respect from🇬🇧...
What a cracking video of the RMB history👍👍👍 Thank you so much for posting it. I’m looking forward to seeing the RMB when they next come to Cornwall. Best wishes.
The best military band in the world, without a doubt, would be a good idea if a series of programs could be made focussing on the initial week interviews, through the two years training and passing out and shown on a public broadcasting channel, BZ, this was a Hoofing video
A really first-rate and professional video, superbly edited, with crisp, evidently heartfelt presentation - con brio! Very informative, interesting and - as always - excellent entertainment. BZ!

The word proud falls far short of my feelings for this British Icon and the bandys past and present. Long may you lead the world in what you do.
Wonderful. Thank you. All of you.

Didn't supply any history of the band's famous conductors.
Any female director of music
The female Lieutenant presenting this video is the first one.
I didn't know that when a ship is sinking that water comes in through a cupboard. 🏳🌈
