Love your videos on these cars, Cheers Josh, just FYI Josh i was chatting with one of the designers of this car and what they wanted to achieve was a trade off between something that performed and also some luxury ( Well thats what they wanted for the Australian Monaro )

Good stuff! I have a feeling I'll be replacing my rack pretty soon. Small leak.

Found this video on the GTO page and am very interested. I’m about to do complete suspension. Pedders coils, full poly everywhere, wretched hardware, new diff mount, new control arm/ radius/ ball joint/ tie rod ends etc. I’m very excited but also nervous lol.

I am currently doing this on my GTO, however, I am not as lucky. I have the KYB rack and cant find replacement inner rods. Only option was to buy a new rack with the 16mm rods, mine are 14mm. So ordered a new rack from Rockauto, and the new BBB rack did not fit the power steering lines correctly, they are angled slightly off. So bought a reman rack and going to try installing it this weekend. Hopefully it all goes smoothly. Funny thing is my rack is completely fine, the inner tie rods were just as floppy as you shown. But cant replace them with anything. Forum and web searches did not help. Only silver lining I had was after tossing my old outer tie rods and learning that I had to reinstall my old rack, I was able to get some c5 outer tie rods just to get the car back on the road with an at home alignment. Its temporary until I replace everything. Good video dude!!

Sounds like anxiety and stress. I hear about this KYB rack but it sounds like fitment issues galore.
I almost want to keep my rack oem and just replace everything ???!!
About to do complete suspension everywhere on my goat

@@Lunt-le9jz the rack replacement is not hard at all. It's just annoying since clearance is always an issue. Hopefully after replacing this rack, it will be easier to find inner tie rods. I don't want to have to rely on pedders, since they are always out of stock. And that KYB rack was my stock rack. Never got replaced. Not sure why they used that one and everyone else got a different one. But it is what it is.

@@khex_bb that is all very true.
If my rack has damage I would almost be up for sending it out for repairs. And replace everything afterwards

@@Lunt-le9jz good luck. Hopefully it's the correct version, non Kyb rack. Otherwise, it's as good as garbage. We'll both be working on our cars this weekend. Suspension stuff will be rather easy as long as nothing is rusted.

@@khex_bb do you know how to tell? My car should be factory as far as the rack goes. I would be surprised if otherwise. I still need to get the subframe alignment tools for front and rear :(

The real test is to drive over a coin and see if you can tell whether it's heads or tails!
