When it rains John do the troopers in the arches get wet? It always looks wet where their standing.
John is Ransome a mare? Because the horse looked like a mare when leaving the box and also looked a lot like Yvonne, looking closely at the hooves you can just make out coronets. Also recently there was an ambulance inside horseguards I believe the incident was because a tourist had an epileptic seizure. Thanks for an interesting video.

Actually the injured person was being treated back in the stable area during this video, but John’s always careful not to intrude.

I had hoped they had tucked him in behind the shop when it chucked down.

Have you noticed how the horses tolerate kids more than adults?
Of course, it always has been the case.
Kids are much smaller - I tend to tolerate cats more than tigers
Kids aren’t as threatening as adults. This is something that I wish more adults thought about. Yes they may well be as threatening as a limp dishrag, yes THEY may just want to smother the horse with sickly luuuurrrrve or align its energy to the sacred ley lines of the way of the utterly clueless or whatever🙄………BUT, to the horses they’re strangers, not to mention strangers who both sound too loud and move erratically, so they’re a potential THREAT!!! Horses are prey……to them ANYthing they don’t KNOW could want to eat them, which is why they shy at “deadly crisp packets”, “predatory umbrellas”, and loudmouth twats and squealing “fit to cut glass” schoolgirls…..and often women whose schoolgirl days are well and truly past ‘em. And horses only have two ways to deal with threats…..fight or flight, and these horses can’t run.

Horses are incredibly smart. They know when someone is a threat to them. They are wonderful with people who have disabilities, too.

That pointing and the V sign drives me crazy. But people do funny things. Here in Montana, they go to Yellowstone Park and walk up to bison and bears. They also walk up to Elk. It’s partly in Montana and partly in Wyoming.

The was a garden party at the palace hosted by The Prince of Wales(minus The Princess of Wales) at Buckingham Palace. It was on our news here in Western Australia and it was pouring down the entire time.
And yet everyone was in the very best clothes, especially the Royal Family who looked wonderful. All the men in top hat and tails. Its something we Brits do best of all.
When it pours, you move the party indoors do you not? Hard t9 mingle with umbrellas involved and so it would just be a lot of people in their good clothes and shoes standing around in the rain. Ridiculousness!

Sometimes the tourists look like a tidal wave 🌊 as they roll across the yard to get to the pavement. And still they come, not worried about the other people.

I would love to see our "Viking" police officer partnered with the great female police officer who clearly loves the horses, is very helpful but also very firm when it is required. They're always fully on point in the yard and out the front.

Hi John, Sincere thanks for your superb filming at Our King's Royal Guards. I am an elderly lady from Perth, Western Australia, who would really love to see NO touching of the Trooper horses. By painting a large WHITE line out from either side of each guard box to the Bollards. This would help to keep the Trooper horses calmer when so many disrespectful tourists, who all have different smells and vibes for the Trooper horses having to put up with. These Troopers are WORKING, and despite many having contrary viewpoints, this area, I believe is NOT for entertainment. I guess Monty is having a well earned break after his wonderful win in the Princess Elizabeth Cup, which I enjoyed watching your podcast. It takes a lot to get paramedics to run. We generally take it steady so we don’t fall ourselves and then have another ambo 😂

With the ambulance I am a officer there in the British Army and the police got told off because no ambulance aren’t allowed to park there

Oh I would have loved my dear old Dad to have been around there today, he was a Sgt in the Grn Guards during WW2 and boy did he have shout on him, I think he could have cleared the yard and the front of any misbehaving twerps 🤣🤣 He never shouted at me a look was enough 🤨 but on hearing me once whilst watching me play netball ( I know tame) he asked me if I thought I was him 🤣 an honour I thought but I couldn't handle the crush of London at all. As the Yanks have 51% of the worlds military, and the 3rd Regiment do such sterling work at their cenotaph, I am surprised they don't have mounted ceremonial. They have history of ceremonial cavalry uniforms. Google the 7th Cavalry.
Foolish way to deal, or rather not deal, with big crowds. Something awful will have to happen before they figure out a way to control the massive amount of people flooding in and out, endangering the well-being of each other, the guards, and the horses.
That tourist repellant spray isn't working!! They need to order a different brand , with stronger ingredients.

Lol my son on monday said you won't believe what happened. It poured only at the career center where he is taking general automotive 2nd year. His truck is outside and he was working under the hood and said it it started to pour rain for 10 minutes, no clouds. He had to grab tools and stuff and shut the hood and got soaked. Lol told him don't worry just dad's little black cloud found him😂. Incidently he won top mechanic and his own tools! We are very proud of him.
