Ofc we want a Leo’s best transitions video😬 and then some, love your content there’s always something to learn, looking forward to some hype matches too, new Leo content is so few and far between🥺
I'd actually love a "best transitions" video or maybe even eventually analyzing all of Leo's transitions! Your videos are very useful and well made, keep it up!! Love your content!
I am a Leo main and it breaks my heart how they nurffed her into the ground and she has to work so hard to get no damage .. I wonder what are they devs are thinking she is such a great character design .. please make more Leo vids
It's strange that Baji, that is known for its powerful explosive strikes, has the worst damage output in Tekken. Yet, Julia, that shares a few Baji moves, does a ton of damage. How could they fail in such a thing.
Yeah, that attention to detail would compliment Leo's style well. At least Leo's shoulders are hard hitting although I can't say the same about Leo's elbows and knees which it should tbh.
I definitely would love to hear you say something about the best transitions. But damn. An eye opener to b+3, 1d for me. I use it a lot but no one really launches me for it even on block.
I used to abuse it often but yeah, it's really bad if opponents have that read. b+3,1,B is even worse and doesn't even evade or crush moves to say the least.
I would pay attention to what opponents do after b+3,1 gets blocked first. I think you can go for f+2+3 if they jab often, you can go for Leo's punch parries, etc. You can always opt for a manual b+3+4 instead of the piss poor transition if you don't want to guard too. I hope this helps. 😊
I'm so happy to see you uploading again. I was worried. Would for you to cover Leo's best transition and maybe how these underperforming transitions could be better. Maybe even cover what you'd add to Leo's kit for quality of life changes. New ideas you'd give leo too. Sorry for the request, I like hearing your opinion
Yeah, I've been gone for a while but at least I got a PC and now I'm trying to take my video editing skills to the test with new tools. Trying to learn as I go. But yeah, I'll be making a best transitions video. 😊
May as well show the best. Is it worth using the hard knockdowns or spikes anymore? I made a small video showing moves that used to spike but don't anymore. The second half of moves still spike. I don't know, from my testing they can wake up attack faster than I can get my mix up going. Especially the low mix ups from the KNK 4 spike which in my opinion would be the most practical.
Those hard knockdowns don't give great oki like they used to. Opponents that used to stand up or roll back could be floated but now that only works on opponents that toe or spring kick.
@@prince.fatalis that's what I figured from the quick testing I did. If they don't wake up attack I can get a mix. If they do wakeup attack most of them beat Leo's best low mix-ups. Forgot to put the link of the moves. ua-cam.com/video/ISGogzXju3M/v-deo.html
Am i tripping or is none of this stuff in her movelist? I've been trying to learn leo and everyday im learning new strings that transition into her stances thats not in her movelist
You're absolutely right. It's not in the movelist. Neither are Leo's ki charge moves. That's my biggest pet peeve with namco on certain characters. They don't tell you moves that can transition so beginners won't know these things exist until they see someone else do it. You only really know these things naturally if you've been playing the game since the character was introduced or check the arcade move lists etc. All of which new players won't know about.
@@prince.fatalis Glad you're my 1 stop shop for learning new leo things lol. Maybe you can make a video on all of her hidden tech? I also didn't know about the quick qi charge you can do after her low high string, nor did I know about her blue spark finisher from her bf1+2,1+2,qcf2 until i saw your videos. I know i'm missing more hidden tech for sure.
There is a new tech I discovered so I will share it with everybody soon. I like to use it in matches first and experiment with setups before I tell people what it is since everyone will just use it without knowing the consequences. Leo doesnt have too much tech and so far, it's very useful to me. Can't wait to share it.
Nice keep it up 👌 ^^ never stop I don't use 1'2 Back into knk What i do instead if i want to i do 1'2 then i go to knk from neutral.. Leo Stance it makes you go back more to avoid more moves
On the flip side, I have a bud who fought a lot of Leo's and was used to using his launcher when he saw b1,3. I used that to my advantage in a way ^^ just a fun thing to consider, even though it's hella fake
Actually no. If it's blocked, you have time to change the input to BOK 1+2 which most opponents tend to retaliate with fast WS moves since you're at +1 on block. The power crush beats them with the exception of fast WS4s where the opponent has time to duck the hit if they hit you. Leo has the homing move too out of the stance to catch steppers.
@@prince.fatalis The problem is that powercrush is too slow, some characters can hit you with a fast move and still have enough frames to block/duck the powercrush, WS4s with fast recoveries like Nina's can hit you and then duck and launch which covers all BOK options incluiding trying to block.
@@ShotaroAsakura You repeated what I said when I stated that exception is fast WS4s where you can hit leo during the powercrush and duck. The best way to generally option select the transition with all characters safely is with a FC generic d+4. It's still far from being bad as the top 5 I listed. It still has its great use as a wall ender and as a followup for CH knockdown. I do think Leo's powercrush should come out faster.
Yes, it's the best way to punish but it can't punish some stagger lows with pushback like eddy's b+1,4,3+4 among a few of his other stagger lows. There are other characters I think that have stagger lows too where a delayed hopkick will whiff.
I think since some people don't fight against Leo often in low/mid ranks, it will give Leo players an edge but once you really reach those high ranks, some players find a way to deal with some of the gimmicks.
@@wisdomseeker0142 The transitions would be considered gimmicks. In high level play, most opponents I've faced have a lot of patience and wait while I go into BOK transitions, for example. In that case, I know they are aware of what Leo can pull off. Leo's 2+3 parry is so good but so inconsistent that sometimes I don't use it when a move has a lot of pushback on block. Leo is very prone to counter hits during the animation.
Leo’s transitions: worst
Quality of this video: best
Keep it up ✅
Thanks for the video, very interesting! :-D would certainly be interested in a "leo's best transitions" video

helpful info as always, I don't know where my leo would be without you. So please do one for her best transitions!
If Leo had an army
You'd be the prince

The character is still decent just not as super good as before when weaknesses weren't so apparent. :)
Too many characters. Some are neglected all seasons. Little buffs are nothing compared to others. Makes me sad.
I feel like Leo is still good, but she just misses out. Just one of those characters who got neglected in the long run. Love the vids

Any suggestions on what to replace my usage of b+3, 1d with? I definitely need to find something immediately to replace it.

Still waiting on that best transition video
2:44 Tiger stance
I wonder why they added knk after 1,2. I accidently used it assuming I was going to block.

Yeah, you can bait unsafe launchers by using only Leo's b+3,1 so I suppose the transitions exists just to screw with opponents, lol.
What about ff3 on Neutral? If it's blocked and you transition to BOK against a competent player you're basically screwed.
Actually no. If it's blocked, you have time to change the input to BOK 1+2 which most opponents tend to retaliate with fast WS moves since you're at +1 on block. Ok, this is late af, but I would like to know Leo's best transitions...
Just posted it today. 🙂
Yeah, do a best one :))
Why is it no one plays Leo in high rank? It’s a strong character at times
I think since some people don't fight against Leo often in low/mid ranks, it will give Leo players an edge but once you really reach those high ranks, some players find a way to deal with some of the gimmicks.
@@prince.fatalis gimmicks?? Like what? I never ever see leo and the parry game is godlike.
