Custom maps - All the Wetherspoons (2 minutes per round play along)

- Опубліковано 19 тра 2024
- We're back with this classic British "pub" map but this time we have a time limit. Can I get a respectable score in 2 minutes AND commentate on the pissed up punters? Watch to find out and play along to try and beat my score!
PLAY ALONG: Play your round, put your marker down, then switch tabs back to UA-cam to watch
my attempt before you see the result. This way you don't ruin the game or the video!

9:29 spends 10 seconds looking at guitars then immediately skips pasts two shops with the town name on them, such a Tom thing to do lmao
Also says „this is very stressful” just before stopping for 10 seconds to look at guitars…
Oh I was shouting Plympton so hard lol
There was something wrong this episode.
He also missed a sign on the construction that said "Slough" on the round in...slough. Would've been much easier lol
@@boarbot7829 you spelled 'every episode' wrong!
That moon and spoon find was so clutch I can’t believe it
I live in Hertfordshire but recognized Slough one straight Away
So clutch though its always a blessing when you get locations near where I'm from
that was truly insane!!
Funny because at 6:50 he zooms into the new building development which has Slough Urban Renewal written on it lol
I'm sure he's had that location before, I feel like I recognise it!
I do love the inscriptions in the destruction below
Same hahaha
He said it right for once 😂
Relative to your comment, it's above, actually!
Tom: "I've got to be quick"
Also Tom 2 sec later:"Why they 're selling guitars in a barber shop?"
But why are they though? 🤔
or a "hair cutting shop" as it will be known from this day on
Clean-shaven Tom had me thinking this was a reupload of a really old video. I'm still not sure this wasn't shot in like 2019.
I was thinking the same thing lmao
He references COVID so unless he’s a time traveller I think it’s recent
I just discovered these videos recently and I've watched dozens of them in the last few weeks. I do believe this is the very first video I've seen where Tom doesn't say he's "rusty." He didn't even hint it!
I recommend a GeoWizard classic. Search up "GeoWizard Ulaanbataar"
thats what i was thinking, Ive been watching for YEARS and this seems like either he got a fresh shave and haircut or this may be a bit older of a video... but it also says 2024 in the bottom right so I think Tom is just feeling good right now haha
because this one is more on an entertaining fun theme like seeing drunk people, he's not going for records or anything
there are several more of these weatherspoon videos dating quite some time back you can check them out too, they're all funny
@@JeffHundoreal ones know this isn’t old because he’s not in The attic apartment
@JeffHundo definitely not old cuz he mentions the video coming up
It's so disconcerting how I feel like I've been to every damn location. It's all just so British, like a fever dream of day drinking.
I live in Windsor and the second pub was called ‘The Windlesora’ or ‘cheap spoons’. It closed down in 2022 due to rent prices. Windsor has 2 spoons and the other spoons is opposite the castle and was/is always a good £3/4 more expensive than good old ‘cheap spoons’ despite being 3 mins walk away.
The piper bar is also still open, it was just having work done. RIP The Windlesora
Just got home from the queen of iceni, decided to stick this vid on and 11 minutes in im now fearing for my life
It was weird seeing Lloyds pop up and then even weirder seeing you comment on here! Norwich really is a small place ahaha
@@MrMcfillmore hahahaga noooo fucking way🤣🤣 love this guy you must love his straight lines
@@craigmayne9496 been watching this dude 8 years now 😂 love the straight line stuff...
1:04 "Do check the inscriptions in the destruction below...", yep, got that one right Tom 🤣
YAY TO SEEING THE NORWICH!
Never ever heard the word civilised used to describe that particular Spoons!
Love ya Tom 🎉
this was 10 years ago mind you haha
The women's toilets are surprisingly fancy. Though, last time I was there my mate threw up on me. The classic spoons experience
@@aidanmurray9071 one time i was there I saw someone fingering his gf outside the window I was sat next
Chaotic intro
Chaotic good
As a plymouthian I can say the Stannary court is one of the best spoons in Plymouth and it was so cool to see it on the video!!
The best spoons is like being the cleanest toilet at the gulag.
Spoon owners son detected
It's my local spoons and agree it's a decent one.
I’ve been a fan for a long time! And seeing the Queen of Iceni IN NORWICH POP UP is crazy! Definitely a Wetherspoons I used a lot as a child and still occasionally visit! Hilariously getting frustrated How impressively close guest but not quite on the dot!
I clicked on this video just in the hope Norwich would come up. Bit weird seeing the Bella Italian opposite as an old pub though
Honestly, Tom, I prefer when you do non-timed challenges. What makes you stand out is your charisma and your ability to just have fun with each round instead of immediately analyzing for the meta data. Like you pointed out in this video, that doesn't align with having a time limit. It's fun to see you joking about passing people or scanning for drunkards and coming up with stories about them, and it stinks when you have to stop because you're already down half your time. Just my two cents, though, I love the channel regardless.
I agree with you. However, Tom is pushing to try and get the mission across England edited and released so he can’t spend too much time recording. I think that’s why he did it timed this time. Although I too would like to see him tell stories and find drunkards I understand that he hasn’t got the time atm
Love the classic Geoguessr and the challenges!
Managed 24697, 4 perfect scores and the trickier round 4 got me.
How did you post this before the video even came out?
@@hikingjonesy not on UA-cam though, that’s on a separate site
Love the first one. Moves closer to the crossing, then wondering that he is 11yd away.
It's almost like he immediatly forgot that he can move in this episode.
Also the second one: The Sinner Bar directly across the street of the church is just gold.
The third one: Slough was even written at the bottom of the ad across the street where he zoomed in briefly.
Fourth one even worse than the third, two signs clearly pointing out Plympton on the first street already (but as he said, he didn't even know where it was anyways).
Nothing to say about the fifth one. Could've found the pedestrian bridge with a bit more time.
This gives SUCH og GeoWizard vibes! I have nostalgia from watching your channel then... the clean shaven face, the wetherspoons, the taking the piss out of people! I remember watching you play this map when I was doing my GCSE’s (or the year before), and now I’m in my third year of uni!! Crazy right! (and YES I remember Burnham-on-Crouch, and the twitch livestreams too!)
I think the pressure of editing and life gets to Tom sometimes, but this video has so much life in it that I think sometimes he forgets to just have fun. He looks amazing, I can tell he feels amazing. Good times for Tom right now I hope.
I'm American and I love Spoons. I have friends in Evesham (Midlands) and I will never forget seeing OUR spoons the first time you did the Spoons version. Amazing moment. Great content!
Missing the two Plympton signs after being distracted by the guitars in a barbers is too classic Tom.
Everybody is drunk and on display in the Netherlands as we're all diving into King's Day. While participating, a classic one like this only adds up to the happiness! Thanks Tom
Wehay you made it to Norwich! You would have reached Carrow Road if you kept going down the first road you tried! 😁
putting these videos on in the background has got me through a very difficult time, thanks a lot Geowizard
Love all the Wetherspoons 😍 thanks for bringing back a classic, we want more!
He went from "Are we in Slough?" to "Oh, here it is" in ten seconds
Loving this series Tom! All the Wetherspoons has to be one of my favourite spin-offs!
Always love your videos Tim! Keep it up chap
I was thinking as I started watching this video that you've never been to Norwich! Excellent stuff
Cool that you continue to give us videos even though busy editing. Thnx mate
The pub is called The Queen of Iceni purely to get around the various pronunciations and spellings of Boadicea.
As somone from Norwich i was hoping youd find the Iceni, one of 3 Wetherspoons in the city centre
Finally. Some Good Old geoguessr fun. Your best stuff imo
Bugger nearly beat you for the first time ever! Flubbed the last round, didn't have anything but Riverside so plonked myself in the middle of the country... well played
The amount of Brits topping the scores I love to see it. It reminds me of whenever I find myself joining an Ireland challenge and I just know it's my time to shine
Ah finally a Wetherspoons I've been to, The Queen of Iceni. Pretty nice place for a Spoons.
If there's anything that I've learned from this and these spoon's videos is that old people in Britain love get hammered during the middle of the day or just get hammered in general.
The Windsor one has been shut for a while, there’s actually one right by the castle that’s still open. Also, random having Slough right after. (Live in Slough, work in Windsor)
I find it funny you doing an all the wetherspoons video again, as I started playing Geoguessr again with friends in a call recently and the main map I played on was that specfic map, as I was on a quest to see if I would end up at any spoons that I myself have been to.
A great classic Weatherspoons episode! Have you considered doing another hometown roulette now that Germany is finally on Streetview?
Every time you shave, I think I'm watching one of your older videos because you look so much younger without your beard. It trips me out every time 😂
Queen of iceni legendary spoons eh, spot of bowling and odeon down in naaarich
My favorite! Thanks Tom.
Loving this throwback content
Absolutely love the intro song you did there
so happy toms playing my favourite geoguessr map of all time again. have yet to see my local on it however
It's nice to know where all the Wetherspoons are so I can... walk past them.
Finally watched one of these where I used to work lol, Norwich Riverside
Your best geoguessr series!
Yes!!!! I've been asking for this one again!
Ahhh I miss those classic geoguessr videos, my favourites ❤
Favourite series. Real british content
That was really fun! Thanks Tom!
I used to work in the Windsor one that is now (thankfully) shut down, and then immediately recognised the Slough one too. Wasnt expecting that!
Finished up on 20272 myself. Completely missed the sign for Burnham-on-Sea, ended up going for Morecambe and got basically no points 😞. Thought I might still have a chance of beating you until you found the Slough one out of nowhere. Really enjoy this series showcasing our country's pride and joy :)
The Queen of Iceni was my first spoons, if you would have continued down that first road you would have seen the football stadium
this video has a very calming zen vibe that only a wetherspoons carpet could produce
Finally! Bloody love this map
I'm usually not too in to your Geoguesser videos but I feel like I've been to a lot of Wetherspoons so I thought I'll watch this to see if any I recognise come up and already, the first one, I've definitely been there but just can't quite place where it was. Remember getting a mug in the B&Ms next door.
Mandatory GET IN
"There's bound to be some drunk people in Norwich". As someone who lives in Norwich, I'm sure that's not the case. HIC!
Big up Windsor! Great to see the hometown on Geoguessr!
Is it though when the part being shown is a Wetherspoons?
Langley too! Like a normal night out for me hahaha
No way you went charters didn’t you
God I missed these classic formats… I remember watching you play this map when I was doing my GCSE’s (or the year before), and now I’m in my third year of uni!! Crazy right!
mate me too!!! i remember watching tom guess argentina because the trees felt argentinian in a 50min long perfect score video, back during the GCSEs🤣
@@jqmeslol6967 awesome :)
I love this map! I've been playing it for weeks now
Seeing Jelly Lounge come up on a new round was surreal, I've taken the kids there so many times! Also I moonlighted at the Piper for a while, I don't think it's closed down the chap was just washing the windows or something.
Hi, can you make a video were you cross the entire uk following just the rivers and canals? I think it would be really interesting 👍
Great video as always
Had a great time in Nailsea Wetherspoons today. Loads of nice stuff for £20. Love it.
The last one I have been to, so got it almost instantly😂 The Novi Sad Friendship bridge is always on my mind
Funny you referenced David Brent from The Moon & Spoon. If you walk straight out of the pub hdg north 100 yards you’ll reach the A4. This is where the intro scene on every episode was filmed. The Brunel bus station roundabout before it was demolished in the mid 2000’s.
So many small references in this. From my home towns spoons (Windsor) to Slough spoons and then to David Brent A4. Was like my life 2 years ago when I listened to David Brent loads while driving through Windsor, then going clubbing in Atik and going back to mates house in Slough. Such a weird coincidence
17k for me, I couldn't get no.4 (plympton) and saw Moorland Road and went for somewhere north of Derby. I got Slough spot on, was close with Windsor, messed up the first one, as I saw Burnham on Sea and was thinking of the Burnhams in Norfolk, but when I couldn't see it on sea, I realised the direction was wrong, and jabbed at somewhere on the east. Norwich one I got within about 3 seconds as that's where I live. Fun vid - thanks Tom.
That first location seemed like the perfect place to stop when you finally leave the River Parrett
I would sooner walk back than go to a Wetherspoons.
@@Davefacestation Snob
Spend a lot of time in the summer at Queen of iceni, so it was frustrating watching that one haha
the plympton round I was on my heels when you went past several signs saying plympton.
Seeing The RIdgeway, Plympton and The Stannary Court (my local spoons) whilst with the missus who works there was a welcome suprise.
You passed right by a shop sign which said Plymouth
Used to work at the top of that street in Plympton haha, been in that spoons a few times too.
You’re in Norwich and a fine city it is!
Would love you to do a few rounds in Spain!
Greetings from Spain!
Never thought I'd see my local Moon and Spoon on the channel
Eyyy Stannary is my local spoons lol. The barbers with the guitars has been there my whole life and I’ve always thought it was weird too
24933 - pretty stoked with that for first play along in a year at least.. found town names for the first four but got a lucky guess with the last - it felt like it was East Anglia and I saw an 01473 code which I seemed to remember was Norwich somehow.. Only noticed the 'AJ D Wetherspoon House' ballsup watching your round afterwards - who doesn't know it's JD Wetherspoon?!..
Video idea inspired by your straight line across England video that I’m very excited for:
Get someone to make a Geoguessr map of different locations from all the straight line videos you’ve done, and you have to guess where they are
I thought this would be a relaxing video, but it was so stressful!
In Windsor you needed to look at an earlier street view. As you said, it was shut (theres a new Weatherspoons in Windsor at "The King and Castle") but used to be called "the Windlesora" (streetview Apr 2018 will show it)
The moon and spoon 😅 Iconic....
Timed rounds don't mix well with fun jokey rounds it seems haha. Personally I'd love to see a video where you don't have a time limit so you're not restricted like this.
Also we don't blame you if you're tired with all the editing, it sounds like a nightmare to edit any straight line mission/adventure
I enjoyed this video and format, even tho I dont know what Wetherspoon even is 😅
fanks tom! lovely vid.
that channel banner is dope
Meat Gaff rocking up on the maps 😂
The itching I get seeing the time ticking and Tom not even starting to look around 😅
Funny anyway!
Hello, hello, it was quite a nice video!
I like these 2 or 3 or whatever minutes per round playalongs. You (roughly) know how much time it's going to cost you. That said, I feel like I did pretty terrible - still 18k points, found the town name in most rounds, but then as a non-Brit "where is Diddlton-on-the-River???"
"absolutely hammered" 😂
I think this website should a real life exploration finder game mode. That would be really really cool. Maybe a solo mode where it gives a hint and a picture or something and you have to go find the pictures location but on foot. And maybe a vs mode where people can actively participate in multiple geo challenges for a prize
Shaven Tom is a rare sight.
It's weird seeing my town (Windsor) show up in your video's. Would've loved to see your confusion if the other one (that still exists) had shown up as well.
Recognised the first pub "The Reed Arms", as I ate there about three years ago !
