Childhood trauma from observing an abusive parent abusing the other can trigger anxiety; I'm so glad I found your tutorial, the explanation is quite helpful. Encouraging talk therapy, Self expression and articulating feelings is very important as well as presenting reality. REST ( Reduce environmental stimulation therapy) is excellent by e.g Tai Chi as well as by guided imagery. Thank you very much.

Dr Snipes. Thank you. For your empathy and your intelligence without arrogance. You are clearly trying o capture, help and explain the most complex and enormous range of symptoms but with understanding and humanity and taking a holistic view. This to me indicates real intelligence along with compassion. I’m glad you failed calculus and moved into this sphere to find your calling!

From my experience with anxiety and undiagnosed BPD:
    1) Reduce or eliminate caffeine and stimulants (like nicotine). If you must drink caffeine, have two small doses within four hours of waking up. Caffeine has a 12 hour quarter-life, which means drinking 4 cups of coffee at 10am leaves 1 entire cup in your system at 10pm! Caffeine anxiety and psychosis are REAL! Other stimulants like nicotine can make you feel constantly afraid and worried. (I believe many people on psych meds have undiagnosed caffeine psychosis, but most counselors and psychiatrists miss this obvious connection.)
    2) Exercising vigorously for 30 to 45 minutes per day will reduce your anxiety from "unbearable" to "unpleasant, but manageable." Walking hilly terrain works best for me.
    3) Practice mindfulness and slow, deep breathing. Realize that you may be experiencing "Transient Stress-Related Paranoid Ideations." If you have BPD, stressful situations may cause you to panic and think "Worst-case scenario" for hours or days. This is probably leftover from traumatic and confusing childhood experiences. Realizing that your anxiety was triggered by sudden, stressful event can help you calm down and understand that there is no monster under the bed.

Hey you have depression here’s some drugs hey you have anxiety problems here’s some drugs hey you don’t like it when it’s slightly cloudy out side I here take these drugs. It’s like how about you stop being pawns for the medical industry aka (largest drug empire) and research the fact that every drug mentioned on this video causes so many more problems than they cure. Oh wait they don’t they just treat symptoms aka “first times always free”

I suffer from GAD and OCD this is my first time watching this, and honestly, I don't think I need medicine, I just need CBT. I feel so much less anxious after hearing this than medicine ever made me feel. I always felt like medicine really only MAKES you think your less anxious but really your anxious about "what if the medicine stops working" "what if the side effects start" I don't like the idea of depending on a pill made in a lab. After watching this.. I fell when you're not on medicine, you feel 100% in control of your own mind because you know there is no chemicals messing with your brain except for what your own body produced. A lot of anxiety is the idea that you're alone and NO ONE in the entire world feels the way you do or understands and aren't even taking you seriously. But after watching this... I know i'm not alone. In fact, I know people out there suffer even worse than I do. I will definitely start doing CBT as often as possible.

I don't like to take medicine either. I do take natural remedies. No side effects and your body knows just what to do with it and only uses what it needs, unlike man made medicines. The Body doesn't recognize it so it has to try to figure it out.
SAMe, Ashwagandha & Rhodiola are the best I've found for anxiety and depression. They've helped me a lot.
They don't have side effects but SAMe can interact with some medicine like cough syrup. Best to check it out if you think you might want to try it
I agree with you about CBT.
      Prayer works for me also.
We will both make it down this road to recovery and make it to the other side! 🙂 Take care

sTAR 23, How are you now? Be careful of what you feed your mind. To feel better reduce negative thoughts and overthinking. Avoid comparing with others, reduce negative social media and avoid constipation as it affects the mind instantly. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress-anxiety. To relax sit on a chair or lie down, neck straight, eyes closed, avoid moving too much and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. Never meditate with expectations but with awareness. Don’t fight your thoughts. With daily practice the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Observe your breath sensations before sleep, in college, at work, taking a walk, when reading, etc.etc. Like me, make this a lifetime daily habit to have a better life. Best wishes--Counsellor.

Having faith in your ability to tackle whatever life throws at you and having the ability to adapt and adjust according to new information and learning more about yourself and the world without judging yourself for not knowing these things - all things I wish I was able to do, wish my parents had known about how to give me those gifts, but they didn’t have those things to give.
Is there really any science behind aromatherapy- and there it is - as soon as I ask a question, you answer it - it’s almost like there’s something supernatural going on because this isn’t even live 😅. I’m very much inclined towards scientific evidence which has been reproduced enough times that it’s about as certain as we’re ever going to get, so it was probably the next logical thing that you would go to.
I wish some more counsellors watched these videos! Either way you are providing top quality content. It helps more than you know.

And block your ex. Actually block him. Dont keep talking shit and blame him for being upset about it. Completely avoid him and odds are hell go away. Also stop posting to social media for a while. That will just give him a way to stay obsessed. These are simple things that you can do to fix your problem. Itll say a lot about you whether or not you take them. Best of luck.

When they did as Brandon suggests and basically stopped feeding the “beast” like they were just not giving them any information at all - not even a photo. They get bored and go away (probably to torture some other poor soul, but there is nothing that can stop that unless they break the law).

Here is my question,... can it cure severe chronic insomnia.??.. that will cause a panic attack. I have zero panic during the day, no depression. severe chronic insomnia CBT.... where the panic happens at night of I can't sleep?.. I have been to over 15 doctors and specialist. Psychiatrists and testing. I have zero depression. I have no panic if I sleep. Klonopin was the only drug that works and I have healthy sleep habits. I have a peaceful home, a loving partner. I have heard thousands of of takes and followed thousands of suggestions. Nothing has worked past 4 hours and klonopin has given no side effects. 6 years of 1.5 mg nd zero side effects. My panic is about fear of not falling asleep. None during the day. Thank you for answering. No anxiety unless I get little or no sleep.

I am saying I have zero fears except the fear of not falling asleep. I am confident in a room of 5000 people,... and I am an introvert. No past things triggered. Can CBT help with that..... True insomnia is the fear of not falling asleep or getting sleep. Not other things. My Psychiatrist said "maybe it would help" .... so maybe you have not experienced this.

Anxiety is common in countries which are used to getting things from other countries without really working for it, but for fools and brokers who facilitate their dirty mind games on fellow citizens.
In developing countries, the citizens are used to work for things that they want. It is an inherent quality of many citizens to work for what they want and not be anxious, except for those fools and brokers in these countries who facilitate the shortcut dirty acts for them and are anxious "for them"! People are taught how not to be anxious and work for what they want, at a very early age, but for the cheapos who do dirty acts with a desperate desire to facilitate the rogues putting their own fellow citizens down to shame and projecting them otherwise, to satiate heir dirty greed, create shortcuts for "their fancies and their babes, as much as their mafia brothers"......in the garbs of deshbhakti.

Jesus Christ destroys atheism, , How are you now? To feel better practicals are also needed. Be careful of what you feed your mind. Reduce negative thoughts and overthinking.

Why do we think that worrying is somehow going to protect us from things we fear. I suppose that staying alert when there’s a wild animal or a pack of wild animals circling your cave or whatever shelter you have built to protect yourself and your family back in early times might have been useful 1000s of years ago. Even then if you’ve done everything you can to reinforce your dwelling - no amount of worrying is going to change the outcome.
