As far as I understand the title refers to some novels which were so good they made them into movies. The story line is very sexual about an employee and her boss. That's all I know. However it was such a hot topic that was constantly being conversed about amongst women and has creeped into the lives of Muslim women too. The books and movies alike are worth avoiding as its contents are very unhealthy for both Muslim men and women. If we want to be romantic, we can refer to the love stories of the Prophet (s) and the Sahaba's. And Allah knows best.
I think domination refers to between spouses and whether it's allowed or not
And the Islamic answer is its allowed as long as there is no physical harm done

That is the harm we doing to our future generations. If your kids want to talk, let them talk and you talk with them. Don't just tell them to memorize Quran. Of course memorizing Quran has its own benefit. May Allah allow us to memorize and understand the Quran. But don't push your kids behind the book. Or rather you don't try to hide. Your kids should be able to talk freely with you and have a guided consultation rather than solving these questions, these issues with their friends. So speak up people. Don't hide, guide the future..

Honestly,what you must understand is that his things aren't that knew as u may think,only that now is n9 longer taboo...and it is also not always about violence but rather roleplay and it comes with limits....for those who really went crazy,they even have codes like red,blue,green,etc so that the other person knows when to stop and not allow it to become unpleasurablr and unhappy....as a matter effect no bodies get harmed for most of them out there.....no long term pains,no marks, no emotional pains either........what is quite wrong is when the men are those who like to be dominated yo such degrees although psychology has proven that it actually helps them mentally

I gotta say one thing: people who enjoy such things have deep issues. They are somehow emotionally damaged. They may not like the statement and feel attacked but it's true. Something went wrong somewhere at a certain point. Why on Earth would a perfectly emotionally healthy individual want such a thing even if it is through "role play"? If you respect yourself at all, this cannot be your cup of tea. Seems like they never learned to respect themselves in the first place. And as for those who enjoy "dominating" others, they have issues too. Alhamdulilah jazakallah hu khairan for shedding light on this, with not just islamic point but also academic point of view( relating to how our brain actually reacts to such grossness) which ofcourse is also all mentioned in the quran but normally people don't understand the message of Quran so thoroughly. Alhamdulilah you shed light on very important topics relating to these very fragile emotions of human life, which is the relationship between man and women inside the four walls of their bedroom. It's a very important issue. There's lot of misconceptions due to western influences. Like every thing else this too was so simple, when u listen to the life of prophet Muhammad sas and his companions, now everything is become a mess. Its getting messier day by day. May Allah protect our future generation, it's not looking good at all and worries me.

@precizion Maybe you didn't understand what I replied with. What you linked me doesn't state that mentioning the topic is a sin. It talks about watching it being a sin, which I agree with, I'm not saying anyone should watch it. I don't know if you read the entire answer that was posted on islamqa or not because that really had nothing to do with what I said or even what you're saying.
However, you're saying to explain why it's a sin is not allowed. What's the source for that? Because if you're using that logic, then explaining why zinah is a sin or even using the word zinah is then a sin. See that doesn't really make sense. Because the original commenter said that he shouldn't mention the name of the book or movie, well if he doesn't mention the name or book, people can still look up the topic of sexual domination which would be the same as someone being tempted to look up the movie title.
Using your logic, if someone goes to a scholar and asks a question if XYZ is a sin and the scholar refuses to answer because just talking about it is a sin. Wouldn't that leave that person confused and perhaps indulge in that sin because he's not told that it is a sin.

I think it is inappropriate to mention the sex life of the Sahabah.
Helping others to see right in these taboo aspects of marriage life is ok with it’s limits.
But please let’s all fear Allāh and give them their respect and privacy and we don’t want to either see them in any light other than the honourable Companions of our Prophet alayhi salaatu wa salaam, and yes, sex is a private thing, and we have to have shame.
If they mention of halāl and Harām even if it’s intercourse then that is teaching the Deen, fair enough.
BUT if there is no rulings attached then that would be violation to their honour and privacy and not right(even if it was known amongst them then they had a reason).
Like I said akhi, if it’s Ijtihaad or any other rulings then great,the more on the subject the better; but we have to remember, we have shame as Muslims and I don’t think they would appreciate it if it’s their personal life and that would be their right.
If, maybe, you see a certain thing a Sahabi did of his personal life that would greatly be of benefit then you decide, and even out of respect or mentioning his name would be respecting them.
I hope you understand and take on board. Sometimes, when we use the Sahabah loosely majority of the people are not free from fahisha and so they’ll start to use them as excuses mixing their(Sahabah)halal personal life’s or rulings to do fahisha, when mentioning them all together was not of much benefit.
If my parents would’ve told me about their sex life growing up I would be doing the haram I was on with the excuse that mum and dad did it, although they did it in Halal manner. Think of the Sahabah like that, like parents(though higher in ranks).

I'm pretty sure he's just giving advices to muslim couples and how to treat each other from sunnah and psychology. Its a very taboo topic in the Muslim community and nobody really talks about it even though it ( intimacy ) is one of the most important factors in a relationship. So brother Gabriel is just teaching us on how to do it properly bcs as I said no one really talks about it in our community and A LOT of ppl do it wrong which results to an unhealthy relationship and maybe even divorce.
