i found my uncle's old film camera with an expired film roll inside! took some pics with it, got them developed. found out that on the same roll of film there were photos of my mom and brother - taken 18 years apart :))
ShrekHas Covid19 STI Stands for Subaru technica international, which is the factory performance shop for Subaru. Willem’s car is a model of the Impreza with their performance upgrades so it’s referred to as the WRX STI :)
All STi’s are manual. The only thing that looks like it could be a STi are those carpets. Looks like a 2004, but the steering isn’t STi, the trim around the shifter is missing, and the seats and door panels aren’t black and blue. ???
I have also some old expired films in my freezer. I certainly need to try those some day when it’s still summer. Maybe comes red 1970’s vibe or maybe not. 😀 It’s really exiting to shoot those old films and wait what kind of colors you will get.
I use to own this gen wrx STi but some things look off. Those are STi carpets, but the steering isn’t STi, the trim around the shifter is missing, and the seats and door panels aren’t the black and blue suede. Do you have a Frankenstein’d wrx Willem? Lol
Wow Willem Last time I was here you had 40k subs, today I saw this video and I clicked! I was 'shock' that you currently got 200k subs, I'm HAPPY for you and you deserved ololoo! 😃 You just really needed time, you're absolutely talented and a genuine lad from my perspective. I wish Success in Abundance to your life, cheers!
I really loved it when you included the shutter sound whenever a photo was shown on screen it just made the image 1000x better please start doing that again it’d be so sick to see it again
Beautiful frames as always! Especially loved that shot with the spare tyres sitting on the truck.. looking forward to seeing what you’ve been capturing on the road trip 🙏
Hey man, im super new to film camera and just discovered your channel! i just wanna say that I love all of your videos and I've learned a lot from it. Keep doing your stuff and enjoy man! peace
Recently picked up a Canon Rebel K2 at Goodwill for 6 bucks, some batteries and a roll of film later here I am watching your content. Damn algorithm knows me too well.
Telltale signs that you are NOT driving a STi. It's missing both the intercooler spray button and the C. Diff dial. You almost fooled me with it being a STi! :) Sorry for the car geeking! lol Thanks for the upload!
been watching you for a bit and love the STI! I really want to get photos of that generation sometime, I've seen your photo of an NA miata in a recent vid which got me excited lol (because I also have a red one)
i actually have Fuji Gw690 which is a great camera, mines beat up and been through 40+ years of photography but I replaced the shutter this month. As such While its new to me its a body that shows its hard life but functionally is perfect. Its also a great camera that takes some of the best images the lens is razor sharp if you nail focus its sharp as a tack.
Hi, thanks for the videos but no-one is talking about the monitor and the correct color profile before using Lightroom etc. Can you give some information about the right monitor and color profile etc. :)
When you say you have a 400 roll but you decide to rate it at 100, does that mean you set your iso setting to 100, or do you notify of this in one way when you go get it developed?
Vegard, when you "pull" film, rating it at a lower speed than box speed, you're basically telling your camera to over expose (in this case, by two stops) the film. You would then compensate the amount of time in the developer, to make up for this (less time if you're pulling (as Willem did here), more time if you're pushing (eg, shooting 400 ISO film at 1600). I'll confess I don't have experience shooting expired film, but I think the essentials of pushing and pulling are the same. Also, a disclaimer. Willem may have a different response based on exactly what he does. I just didn't want you to be left hanging waiting to hear from him].
@@DougHall65 Thanks Doug! Your response helped me when researching further. I recently bought some expired film to try my luck for a trip to the fjords of Norway. Here's to the film not being damaged to all hell 🥂
@@DougHall65 Good explanation. Usually expired film requires its own development adjustments, best way is to trial and error it, what works best to what you are trying to achieve.
Love the shots. You captured some heat (as always)! Also loved that interaction when some spotted you using the Mamiya 7. Always great when you bump into a fellow film nerd! 😄
Привет!) hello, please tell me, what size are digital photographs (those that you transferred from film to digital, how many megapixels do they have, approximately?) very sharp pictures sorry for the strange speech, google translator :)
Some sources I've read online say overexpose by a stop for every decade, and others say half a stop per decade. Which did you opt for? A little over half a stop?
random guy: "is that a 6x9"
Oatmeal boi: "no, it's a 6x7"
random guy: *does the "aye that's nice ooooo"
hahahahahah im deadddd... oatmeal boi
WE HAVE TO MAKE OATMEAL BOI A THING! OUTMEAL BOI ARMY ;)
Probably watches the channel. If I ever run into Willem down the shore I'd have to stop and say hi.
Yeah in Brooklyn people gonna recognize the camera.
where does this oatmeal thing come from

Wow
That's so cool!!
You know climate change is real when Willem no longer wears his beanie outside.
yeah, lawmakers are finally taking action on climate because they saw Willem wasn't wearing a beanie :0
you also know when he doesn't wear one inside too
Haha or because it’s summertime?
@@timbuckey9841 na

Love how Willem only reacted to the roll of Portra when going through the batch of film
hahaha
I would pay to see the reaction of somebody not familiar with analog photography casually opening your fridge...
I miss getting out and walking around the city just taking pictures. Thank you for taking us out with you.
Just do it
2:15
Willem out loud: “a haaaa”
Willem internally: “please don’t steal my mamiya 7”

Shooting "expired" "film" in "brooklyn" search results are going to love this title.
"You can tell it's been weeks since I have shot anything."
Me too Willem, me too.
It’s crazy how you can take a picture of a simple thing but it comes out amazing
Willem: I'm out of video ideas.
Somebody: Just shoot some expired film and you'll be good.
honestly i really love the content of your channel Willem keep on going.

Aliens out here double checking on Willem at like 1:45
NIce!!! Also, are you vlogging on your Iphone? Great pictures man! Wish to understand why do you set the Iso exacly at that numbers.
Love the portra 800 (?) 🤤
When you develop the film that you overexpose (400 @ 100, 800 @ 320), do you push/pull or develop with the standard time?
Bruh the fujifilm and me have the same birthday....
ig u can only shoot fuji now
You’re a great photographer man. I don’t shoot film, but people like you are drawing me in closer each day haha
Man these came out so nice. Expired film is so cool

Driving a WRX STI now? heard that boxer rumble and the hood scoop was a dead giveaway lol

Do you process your own film? Or go somewhere to get it done?

Fuji used to have so many fun color films to try out....

So did you push this film in dev as well? Or keep it at the box ASA/ISO after you rated it lower.
