PA Deer Camp 2022 - A Man Down

- Опубліковано 6 лют 2025
- Yep it's finally here, time, time for PA Deer Camp 2022 ! Black Friday isn't what it use to be, but it still signals the start of Pennsylvania Deer season is just one day away.
Loaded up the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk with all kinds of supplies, some I used, some I ended up taking home because we had so much good food. 8 day stay this year, 5 1/2 for our normal Deer Camp, and 2 1/2 for my solo time there after the guys left. Speaking of guys, Eric, aka Medical Man could not make the trip due to some back issues. The same issue that kept him from going to North Carolina with Shawn and I.
It's time, let's head up to Wellsboro, Tioga County for Pennsylvania Whitetail Deer Season 2022! This year we were all there for Opening weekend, but unfortunately the Chairman (Mike) had to head back on Sunday evening. Shawn @Sintax77 and Steve stayed until Wednesday morning. I continued on for a few more days, check that out in the Solo Time video.
Good food abounded as always, Pizza on Friday, Pork chops Saturday, chicken on Sunday, and Rib-eyes Monday. Wrapped it up to a trip to the Wellsboro House Brew Pub on Tuesday evening.
As always, something that seems like it will never get here is here before you know it! It started with the North Carolina trip, Delaware season (check that segment out for a nice buck), and you find your self packing and looking for your normal Camp supplies.
We did not get any Doe tags again this year, so they will be off limits for us
Grab a beverage, and a snack, sit back and enjoy!
A true Deer Camp is about; having a great time with friends and family, building memories, and that keeps you coming back year after year. If a buck happens (and one of these years!!) that great also.
Laughing and ball busting seem to reign supreme as always, one of the best things about Camp life.
As it all should be, "Hey I'm on vacation!".

You can tell you and the guys are good friends and really enjoy being around one another. It easy to see you had a great time, even without scoring a buck. Your video was well done; great editing.
Thanks Marc, we did have a good time, ate well, and had a few cocktails without going overboard. Was hoping for the one that Shawn and Mike were chasing to make a mistake and come my way, maybe it will make it though the year and be even nicer next year. I've only heard of a few does being harvested on the mountain so far, but having checked in recently. I know we talked about it, but you'd be surprised on the hours that went into the editing. Take care and think about NC. I heard from Andrew last week, said we were a good bunch of guys.
Great watch! Friendship, food, drink, and icing on the cake when we score!
You are right about that, we always have a great time. One of these days!
Thanks for sharing deer camp...
Our pleasure!
Crazy how this annual video has become one of the things i look forward to as a part of my hunting season lol.. Cheers Rook!
Thanks Richie. I watched the one from 2013 last evening. Will have to replicate some of the food, drinks and I still have most of the clothes I was wearing for 2023.
My brother & I hunted for 35+ yrs & my dad for 50 yrs in a small cabin in Clearfield but we have since stopped going & the tradition died. CWD/lack of deer/game commission ineptitude drove us away. Loved deer camp & opening day. Thanks for taking me back even for an hour!
Well put, there are some issues, but we try to make the best of it. One of the reasons I like doing the videos, brings back some memories, an I try to keep the tradition going for another generation. Take care and Happy Holidays to you and yours.
You guys just threw me for a loop. When he said Mr. Lindemuth. As my name is Dave Lindemuth. Literally popped up on my feed. I saw PA deer Camp and clicked on it. Great video guys. Good hunting and camaraderie.
We try to mix a little fun with a little hunting, like most deer camps. Will be back for the 2023 version soon.
From West Virginia. I love your deer camp videos . I can’t wait for 2023 deer camp. Good luck and be careful.
Thanks 👍, always a good time with the guys! Good luck to you also.
I'm a PA hunter,I watch your PA deer camp video every year. I look forward to it every year and been watching it since 2013.
I looked at the 2013 camp video last evening. May have to get some of the same things (food, drink, clothes) we had that year for 2023.
Look forward to this one each year. Our Camp over in Forest County got 3. I got an 8 cousin also 8 point. And on Monday we pushed a bruiser 9 point to our Oldest Camp member Uncle Joe. 75 years old. Was a very special moment for us all. He is a Vietnam Veteran B52 mechanic. Loves his Country ,Family, and truly a Man of God. Blessed we are here. Thank You for giving us a chance to share your camp. Feel like a part of it each time.
Hello Reed sounds like you had a great season. Congrats on the buck, and a special congrats to Uncle Joe on what must have been a great moment for everyone in Camp. Keep up the great work. Happy Holidays to you and yours!
re watching last year's getting excited for this year! can't wait to get out in the woods and try to get some meat on the ground and watch this year's adventures at the PA deer camp! you guys are great! -from upstate NY
Thanks, good luck this year! Game cams are showing a lot of doe and a couple small bucks right now. Should be a full group this year if all goes well.
@@whiterook85that's good news! are you guys going to have doe tags this year? before my uncle passed unexpectedly before last year's deer season, he preached to us when we were kids that hunting was about the memories and being out in the great outdoors and getting a harvest was an added bonus. My uncle was the only father figure I ever had, and I looked up to him greatly. Your videos remind me so much of him and his views on hunting. It's not the same without him, and it never will be but watching you guys at deer camp brings me back to all of the memories I have with him, and I will never forget that.
Glad the videos bring back fond memories for you. I've been told that a lot for people that lost a close relative, or just can't get out any longer. Eric has a doe tag, not sure about the Chairman and Dutch(Steve). By the time the out of state doe tags were available, our unit (2G) was unavailable. Should be another great time there, we haven't been lucky, but we have a lot of fun and as you said, that's what it's all about.
@@whiterook85awesome to hear! looking forward to watching! Good luck to you guys! and good luck in Delaware if you are hunting there again this year!
Yes, will be out in Delaware again this year, and NC towards the end of October.
Tom,
Was pretty pumped to see this pop up tonight! Got a nice drink ready and just enjoyed the whole video with a nice fire in the wood stove in the background. You’ve had a great year all around with two nice bucks! Congrats on each of them! Thanks for the shoutout our group had a great year and I hope you had a chance to enjoy the Double Oak up there. I really think your property is going to yeild some really good results in the next few years…I would not be discouraged. You had a few bucks hanging right nearby and that will only get better on a good acorn year and as the food plots and browse from the choppings start to grow in it’s going to be an attractive spot for the deer to be.
The new box blind looked mint! Nice buddy heater and you’re nice and cofortable. I’m sure you’ll enjoy that for many years.
Everyone did a great job on the food and the gang looks good…missed Medical Man. Hope he’s feeling better for the spring trip. No time for the wood splitting this year with the new opening day….missed seeing the Chairman and Campcook taking a few whacks.
Once again thank you for taking us along with you to the Go Time Deer Camp…where traditions and good friends and family enjoy the best time of the year…and where success doesn’t mean you filled your tag. Take Care…from the Camp Hideaway crew.
Thanks Tim, good year never the less. I can only see the property getting better over the next few years. That landing area is a great place for a food plot. Not in the middle of the property, but will keep them around never the less.
The new blind is great. needs a few things that I will take care of next year.
Happy Holidays to you and yours!
👍
Another great video . I look forward to deer camp video every year
Thanks 👍 Richard.
Love all the videos. I'm actually from a town south of Wellsboro. Love the wild life and area pics of my are. Excited to see from someone else's view
Glad you're enjoying them Jeri, more to come. Any spots in the area you think I should check out, please let me know.
Love the channel & seeing deer camps in different parts of the country...'all different..but all the same!'
Thanks 👍You said it right 'all different... but all the same" perfect way to describe it. That common theme that runs through the camps keeps you going back year after year. Thanks again, and good luck this year!
Great video. I enjoyed every minute of it. Getting ready to watch your solo video.
Thanks Mark, glad you enjoyed it. Happy New Year!
Glad you all enjoyed the beers! Another great video!
Thanks so much EJ, we certainly did enjoy them all. Not a Stout drinker, but that one makes a great after dinner beer. Thanks again, Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to you and yours. Thanks again from Shawn and I.
I don't hunt, never have, but I sure do enjoy your videos. You all are good people! Thanks for bringing us along!
Our pleasure! Thanks for the kind words. There are plenty of times up there for some fun and relaxation only.
Enjoyed the video, wrapped up my 40th season this year. As the years go by the thing I enjoy the most is the camaraderie at camp a deer is a bonus.
Well said Robert. I would rather see the guys get a buck than myself at this point. Fun with friends and family is what it's about.
Another awesome video!!! Always look forward to your hunting videos. It’s a lot like what we do up here in Nova Scotia Canada. It’s not all about getting a deer it’s about the good laughs and quality time together!! Best of luck on your solo hunt.
Thanks, good times for sure. Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Your Pa deer camp reminds me alot of our Ohio deer camp. Good food, drinks and great times. 👍
Great times!
Great video Rook, been waiting for this one! Looked like a Great time. Great food, friends and beers!
Glad you enjoyed it, you had a great year also. Keep up the good work on your new cabin! Happy Holidays!
Another masterpiece! I’ve been saving this video all week to watch Friday night with a couple drinks. Thanks for making my night. This is the video I look forward to the most all year.
Glad you enjoyed it! Put a lot of work into it. Keep trying to get those guys to go to NC so we could have a PA experience there.
Over the last 6 years I have steadily decreased my gun season time to about 2 days and increased my archery season to 4-5 days either in the last week of Oct. or the first week of Nov. to cover the rut. This year archery was a bust but I managed to harvest a small 8pt with my 308 in the Tiadaghton State Forest and enjoy some time with the guys at our camp in Lycoming Co. Been watching your camp videos since 2013, almost a tradition each season. Keep up the good work, Go Birds!
Think that is happening more and more, one of the reasons why I asked the question. Don't blame folks, rut hunting is fun with bucks chasing any time of the day. Congrats on your buck! Will bring a little of 2013 to camp next year.
Go Birds!!
Always look forward to this video. Been watching it for idk how many years. Tom is a great guy, have emailed back and forth with him in the past.
Thanks Chris, we had a great time with everyone, wish it was a little longer. Next year could be the year! Happy Holidays to you and yours!
As always great video Tom !!! Looks like you guys had a great time hanging out and enjoying the camp experience!! Glad the guys liked the peach shine !!!
Thanks 👍 Pete, the shine was definitely a hit with the guys. I think we could have gone through a few jars. Thanks again for the stand!
@@whiterook85 it will sneak up on you , lol !!!
Look forward to the video each year. Congrats on the Delaware buck. Hoping for a speedy recovery for Eric. Keep up the great videos. Cheers
Thanks so much Steve, Eric is on the mend. Hopefully he will make the Spring Trip.
Add to the many traditions of this time of year thanks for the video.
Enjoy Chris, just a little slice of life at the camp. Happy Holidays!
Love the video and always looks like a great time. Also congratulations on the Delaware buck. I am also not a fan of the Weekend opener either. It is far to rushed for me. I live in PA but much further SE of my camp. We started hunting near home for the first few days just because we could spend more family time around hunting. Now I got to camp in archery (November), for Bear and sometimes for the end of the first week and into 2nd weekend of rifle. We dont have land, just a camp, so its all State Forest but still a great time when we are there. Cant wait to see what this year brings you. I think it will keep getting better for you with the improvements that you made. Good Luck!
Thank you! Hoping for a good year, a lot of activity on the game cameras, more than past years. As far as the Saturday opener goes, I wouldn't mind it being Sunday instead. Wouldn't be as rushed as it is now. The only real reason is Thanksgiving, hard to get away early. Take care and good luck this year!
Tom, excellent and relaxing video as always. You hit two opinions right on the head, our old camp was family oriented but as things happen, they all passed away, so I just sold it. I started to hunt around my home, in Armstrong County, but the memories came back of the camp and everyone now gone, I stopped hunting. The second point you made is very valid, some of the younger hunters are using archery instead of rifle and many get their deer during archery season. Have a good Christmas Season and a healthy new year....
Thanks for the kind words as always. Hope to keep it going for a little longer if I can. Sometimes I think I should just go to camp and cook, etc for the guys, but still enjoy heading out. As you saw I thought I was alone in DE when I went out. Have a great Holiday Season, take care!!
You could tell Steve was sucking in his gut during the initial footage. And then later, when you guys did shots, his gut was spilling out for all to see. But I’m not going to rip on him this year since he cooked pretty well. He did a good job and deserves some credit. Great video, guys.
Hahahahahaha
Great observations, he did make some good food. The Mississippi chicken didn't seem like it was going to go well, but he pulled it out in the end. I do have to say that was the blandest looking dinner of the 4. Take care TeamPenn!
Great video buddy
Thanks for the visit David, glad you enjoyed!
Awesome video always looking for a new video from ur camp. Happy holidays
Happy holidays Gianni! Great time there with the guys.
We appreciate you Tom. God bless
Always enjoy your annual PA deer camp video! I grew up in North Central PA 👍👍👍
Thanks JL, we had a good time. With the property logged, we set ourselves up for some interesting years to come.
Really enjoy seeing all the camp camaraderie. Nice work fellas! 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it, more to come. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
What a great video! I feel the same as most camps that the Saturday Opening is Hurting the Hunting and the tradition of Deer camp.
Everything just seems rushed. You men had some Great food. stay safe and keep the videos coming..
We Have a camp in POTTER and we only heard like 40 shots ALL WEEK. Headed back up for late season.
Thanks Matthew, we did what we could to enjoy ourselves. Would like a little more time before the start, not only to enjoy the company of friends and family, but to also make sure everything is ready at our hunting locations. Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Always enjoy the cabin videos!! And sharing it with friends and family always makes it a special place!! Congrats on the deer you harvested this year!! I hope medicine man gets well soon!! I never get tired of watching these videos, good friends, great food, and a good beverage with all the stories.. enjoyed!!
Thanks 👍Blue Boy, we had a great time with the guys this year. Hopefully Eric will get better soon and be there for our Spring Trip 2023. Take care and Happy Holidays.
Love these videos! Can't beat camp culture! Wellsboro is a beautiful area!
It sure is fun, people that haven't been part of a camp don't know what they are missing. Wellboro area is what brings me back..... Take care!
Thanks for sharing as always!! Great video. Stay safe and have a wonderful Christmas to ALL OF YOU!! Let the spirit of the beast live in all of us..
Happy holidays! to you and yours also. Great time there with the guys.
finally!! It was a long wait! You guys really have a good camp!! Thanks for letting me tag along! prayers to Eric for a speedy recovery! Hope to see him and the rest of you for the spring trip!!
Normally up about two weeks or so after Thanksgiving, a few days either way. Thanks John, good time this year, fun and the guys learned a few things about ground hunting and deer movement. Eric is on the mend, hoping he can make the Spring Trip also. Look for that one around the middle of May. Take care John!
Great video as always Tom I've been waiting to see your camp video. Congrats on the nice Delaware buck. Your so right about the camp time with the guys I miss that if you harvest something that's a bonus it's more about the time there. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks 👍 John, had a lot fun on the Delaware hunt. Was glad it worked out that I had my camera with me. Bucks are always a bonus, in a Camp setting its just the fun of being there that makes it worthwhile.
Have been waiting to watch this years deer camp video. Great video as always. Best of luck to you guys in 2023. Looking foward to future videos
Thanks Josh, was a fun year with the guys. Good food, good times, and learned a few things along the way.
Many people don't understand that sometimes hunting isn't about hunting at all. Spending time with brothers, sons, uncles, fathers and friends is much more important. I cherish the memories that we all had together every year at my families deer camp in Venango County, PA. Comradery that most non-hunters will never experience.
You are absolutely correct on that, memories made last forever.
What a nice Sunday treat! Can't wait to enjoy some Bell's two hearted ale and watch my favorite deer camp. Btw Tom I shot a nice Doe this weekend and butchered everything up myself. It's only my second time doing that, I had a lot of fun. I had a friend along with me and got to show him the process. Thanks again for the effort you put into these, we all really appreciate it.
Congrats on the doe, you most likely ended up with more meat that way. Not that the butcher are taking it, but doing it yourself, you can go slow and steady. This one took a while to get together.
Great video and I have been waiting this for awhile now. Looks like a great time as always. Thanks for sharing and bringing us along with you. I passed up a halfway decent buck on the second morning and didn’t see any other shooters the two weeks of our gun season here in WV. I’m going to get out this week with my smoke pole and try again for a day or so. Keep up the great work and all that you do. God Bless all you guys and family and have a Merry Christmas.
Thanks Chad, took me some time to get the video together, especially when they are longer like this one is. Know what you mean about passing one up, but you gave yourself a chance for a better buck. Good luck with the black powder! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
Rook- nice video as always, along with great food and libations. Agree with your attitude on harvesting a deer…it’s an added bonus but camp is more about camaraderie. Looking forward to your spring/solo trip video.
Well said Thomas, we did eat good and didn't over due it on the libations. Hard to get up in the morning if you go all out. More videos to come, solo trip next Sunday, then we will see from there. Take care and Happy Holidays!
Just watching it now. The video is turning out awesome. Great job my friend. I love all the new graphics that you put on and the new deer stand. I will comment more when I finish the movie. We miss you medical man get better soon !
Thanks Phil, I do spend a lot of time getting it just right. The new stand is great, will be even better when I give it a few of my personal modifications. Wow was it nice with the heater in there. Didn't need it everyday, but when it was one it was great. Hopefully Eric will make a full recovery and get out with us during the Spring Trip. Take care, and Happy Holidays.
Glad to see you posted some new footage, as always it's great to see the comradery, fun, and some good meals too. My NY season didn't' go as well as I wanted to, but that's hunting in general at times. Hopefully with the remainder of DE season coming up I'll have better luck. OK, Happy New Year to all of you, may it be an awesome year.
Thanks Paul, will do a few short videos in the coming months, but I normally take my late winter break until the snow melts up the cabin. That road can be a bit dicey if it is covered in 4 inches of ice. Good luck in DE, I'm sure there are still a few good ones around, hopefully they didn't start dropping their antlers year. Take care!
Great video. Gonna have to keep camp cook around for another yr seeing he showed up with that Cooper cheese. That's good sh#t! 👍
That Cooper cheese was a big hit with the guys! Thanks!
Thanks for sharing Tom and the guys....Great to watch deer camp video.
You bet! Took a while to finish, but hopefully it was worth the wait.
As always Rook another great camp video with good times and good food, your exactly right I feel the experience is more important than the hunt itself also congrats on the Delaware buck take care Happy Holidays and safe travels my friend
Well said John, like every camp we would like to get some deer. But,,, we still go home feeling good. Thanks!!
Very nice deer camp , my grandfather had a camp we use to get together and you all still keep it up. Thanks for the memories.
Glad you enjoyed it, trying to keep it alive for a while longer. With the video people may see how fun it is. Take care!
YESSS.....FINALLY....best wishes and holiday greetings to the Pennsylvania and Delaware gang...
Thanks Harvey, hope it was worth the long wait. Take care!
Thanks for the video Tom!! Nice to see some bucks moving around, congratulations on your other successful hunts!! Nothing like deer camp!! Take care
Thanks Jeff, good times there in NC and DE, as well as PA. Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Always enjoy this annual video from you guys! Food, friends, and hunting - hard to beat that combination. Thank you for taking us along.
Thanks Buckeye, best of all worlds there. Good times for sure. Take care!
Another great video fellas! I always enjoy them 👍
Thanks again John, more to come in 2023!
Great video as usual Rook. Agree 100% that Saturday opening day stinks. Too much rushing around to get ready, and we really miss the down time at the cabin with the guys. Also business are hurting cuz guys aren’t out and about spending money. But the game commission don’t care.
Well said Joe, one day, just give us one day. Know people coming up from a lot farther than me. I makes them interrupt their Thanksgiving holiday to be there on time.
You guys don’t have to hunt on Saturday if you don’t want to. Idiots
nice video tom. you hit it right not enough is just about camp. theres more to deer camp than just killing a deer. to much is put on the score of a deer. that was a nice buck you shot. your property is looking great, all the work looks like it's paying off. thanks for taking us along and sharing it with us
Thanks Dan, you hit the nail on the head there with your comments. Much , much more to camp. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and yours!
I have been waiting for this !!! Time to sit back with a coffee and relax and watch this !!!!
Hope it was worth the wait. Take care!!
Love watching you're videos. My families deer camp over time faded away. Miss the comradery.
Hope it brings back a few good memories for you. Happy Holidays to you and yours.
I hunt here in Montana, I enjoy both mule deer and whitetail hunting. We only count one side here so a four point is a big deer. We also have elk and moose in our area. I enjoy your videos.
Thanks, you have the best of all worlds out that way. Good luck this year!
Always look forward to watching your annual PA hunt camp!! Great show as always!!
Awesome! Thank you!
Glad to see this video pop up in my feed again. Always look forward to it. Guys you all look great. Prayers and love coming from Texas for a quick recovery for Eric. Cabin looks great! Pizza, wings, fries, beers and shots among friends. Doesn't get any better. As thick as those woods are I'm surprised someone isn't using a 30-30.
Thank you very much Dee, Eric is coming along. Will be a slow recovery. but he said he is making progress. Had the .350 Legend, that is pretty close to the 30-30. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and yours there in Texas.
love the video you guys always have a good time and for the chairman he is always playing pocket pool LOL
RITPs!! It is a must at this point. Thanks James!
Can’t stop….
Great video. Love the camp! Enjoy it boys. Be safe.
Thank you! Will do!
Nice video. Really enjoy seeing the guys hanging out at camp.
Glad you enjoyed it, we have a good time there.
Congratulations on the DE deer and the success of the channel,
Thanks 👍 Jeff, was a nice hunt. The 70 degrees didn't feel too bad either. Was cool enough when the sun started going down. Take care!
Another great video, well done for sure. We hunt public land and have a dozen lock ons (yes we archery hunt) hung it’s still such a rush. The guys get to camp pick out a stand have a beverage around the fire and we are off to bed. Great you are trying to keep the tradition going!
First year for me being retired nice to be able to stay however long I want but tough when the boy leaves…..
Good luck and happy hunting.
@text2057
Prize claim?
Just-one-more
That is fake, deleted that message. Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words. We are trying to keep it alive, too many kind of hunt the way I do in DE. Out of the house and not a camp. Whole different experience as you know. Yep, I know what you mean when the family leaves. gets a bit lonesome, but you kind of get use to it over time. Take care and Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Finally found your videos late last night, thought you weren't able to make a video this year? But always looking for y'all video's, enjoyed the recap of Delaware and the Carolina trips. I harvested two does Saturday of our week long gun season, it's going to be gun season this weekend again for two days so hopefully the luck will continues. I almost always still hunt it makes for interesting hunting . Best wishes for hunting and life.
Thanks Aaron, takes me a while to get that video out. A lot of time spent editing. Congrats on the does. will make for some good eats next year. Take care and Happy Holidays to you and yours.
Deer Camp came and went so fast! Look forward to your solo video. 500F for Camp Cook's BRICK-sket 😃!!
Hope you enjoyed it! Yes 500 degree brisket, he's not back until he cooks one. Maybe in the spring.
It's good to see a group of guys that get along good.i was member of a club for a long time but when they decided to build a new cabin things changed and a few of the members thought they controlled the place and turned into real jerks,,,I got tired of all the BS and resigned after 23 years.I now hunt on 800 acres of private ground. And don't have to listen to all the animosity and bullshit.
We’re all real jerks which is why we get along so well!!
True words Cook, true words.
Troof!
It’s only going to get better as the logged areas thicken up. Great to join you guys again on here. Thanks for the video.
Thanks Eric, agreed going to get better and better. Planning on putting some seed down on the roads and the landing area.
Always great videos. See you next year
Thanks! You too!
Good deal Whiterook, looks like a good time. Nice to see how things are going up in Pennsyltucky. I've had some good camps over the years in GA & my home of north FL. Always fun. Congrats on the Delaware deer. See ya next time. Y'all be careful out there...
Thanks Marty, I'll take the two deer this year anytime. Take care and Happy Holidays to you and yours.
I started watching your PA hunting camp videos in 2015. It is always nice to have a good time with the guys at camp even if you don't get a buck. Same up here in the UP. of Michigan with my family not getting a buck, but it was still a good time getting out. Congrats on your Delaware hunt! 👍
Thanks, we still manage to have a lot of fun and make some memories. Happy Holidays!
@@whiterook85 Happy Holidays to you and your family. 🎄
Thanks for another video. It's great how good you guys get along. I own a camp in Germania and always enjoy when I'm there. You guys stay safe and take care.
Thanks for the kind words Elmer! We have our moments, but we get along pretty good. Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Great deer camp video at our camp since the start of rifle is on Saturday with family functions and a couple guys work the weekend we started going the first Thursday and come home the following Wednesday or Thursday we usually have 10 to 12 guys always a Great time and good food and adult beverages
Sounds like a great camp Jeff. You may have heard Mike say to Shawn when he got there late; "Hunting starts when you want it to." Nothing like having some fun with your friends and family. Take care and Happy Holidays.
Another deer camp in the books, great video as always Rook and the guys!!
Thanks again Joseph, good times!
Great video, guys. Always look forward to your Deer camp videos. Thanks for sharing, Tom.
Thanks for watching Mike!
Rook,
If you started filming in 2013, then this year, 2022, is the 10th year. Good stuff as always.
Yeah, 10th anniversary I think I should have said.
Have a great Christmas everyone, always a chilled experience watching these vids, best wishes from Wales, UK
Thank you very much, try to go for that low key action. Everyone has too much going on these days, a nice break does you good. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours in Wales!
So excited to see the video posted. Been waiting for it since last December!!!
Hope you enjoyed it Jeff, trying to get those guys to NC for an early deer camp.
Always love your video. This one was tough for me to watch. My family is from western PA and we did deer camp in McKean County (north midstate) but didn't make the trip this past season. We lost our dad last year after his 11 yr battle with cancer. Agent orange sucks! Sure do miss you Pops!
Sorry to hear that Michael, thank you for your Dad's Service. Hopefully next year you will get back and tell some stories of his deeds. Keep the memory going. Take care!
@@whiterook85 I sure will. Its just not gonna be the same. But its like you said before, it was never about getting the big one, it was about being in camp with your family and friends. And Pops always was so proud to have his boys there. I have a brother in Alaska, one in Florida and I'm in TN. We all couldn't get there every year but when we did, he was in his glory. Your videos brings me back to our memories. So I thank you. Thanks for taking time to respond.
Glad to respond Michael, maybe you guys can set a year when you can all get together again and relive some good times.
Tom I was getting worried that there wasn't going to be a PA deer camp video since it was so late. Thanks again for continuing to do these
About the same time as last year. I don't rush the editing process, took me a long time to put this year together. More to come!
Nice buck!! Love how you capture deer camp life.....great videos
Thanks 👍Jerry, that was a nice one. Was a little surprised once I got up to him and saw the extra points. Take care and Happy Holidays!
Just came across your site. Great videos. We used to be locals but moved to Lancaster, PA. we still have family in Galeton and Wellsboro area. We get up about once or twice a month to stay with family. I belong to the Wellsboro Moose Lodge, great people to share hunting stories with. My wife says you should try the subs at the Mennonite store in Stony Fork. But she said you can't get a beer there. LOL.
Hello Mark, glad you came across the channel. Great area up there, like going back in time a little bit. I think Shawn (Sintax77) stopped there last trip for a bite to eat. May have to make our way there sometime this year. Tell your wife, all good on the beer, normally have plenty, but always on the lookout for something different. Take care!
Great video Rook, really enjoy your camp videos. Wellsboro House is a great place to eat and drink, Chris and staff are great! Everytime we in town irs our go to!
Thanks Buck, we had a good dinner at the Wellsboro house. We had the waitress have Chris stop by for a few minutes to talk.
@@whiterook85 lol he is a high energy guy for sure! Felt lil out place, being in Eagles land being a life long Bills fan. Lol
Seriously I look forward to your cabin videos, grew up between Morris and Blackwell great memories. I come back every chance I get! Keep up good work
Ha ha, you are right about that, we got that same impression from him. Bills and Eagles fans can mix fine, not in the same league or division. Between Morris and Blackwell, that is out in boonies as they say. Must have fished from April to October.
@@whiterook85 i uses to walk up and down those little streams, it was a great time place to grow up. I remember the Blackwell train. I lived corner 414 and Dixie run rd. In winter the train whistle was erie sound to a young kid. Remember all camps being full for deer season, old friends would stop back up, bring treats for us kids and listen to stories. Then drive to town ( wellsboro) and see the deer hanging on the meat poles! So loved that tradition! Thanks for that trip down memory lane!
Hooked on your videos bud. It has enspired me to buy my own deer camp and create a tradition amongst friends. Thank you.
That sounds great, hope you enjoy and build a lifetime of great memories. Take care!
Another great video. Glad you all were seeing deer. I think next year may be even better like you said. I my self was successful so far with two doe in rifle season and hoping to get more in flintlock season after Christmas. Can't wait for your next video.
Thanks Eric, congrats on the doe! Filling the freezer with some good eats. More to come.
Look forward to this video every year this year was a little disappointing didn’t seem to have a lot of cabin footage with the guys but I guess cause you didn’t have Sunday off from hunting but the footage of chairman is always fun. Get better Eric
👍
Yeah we didn't have as much inside footage, but the Chairman was in form at the start of the chicken cook. Next time!
I agree your annual deer camp video is part of my hunting season
Thanks Kyle, one day we will surprise a few people. The property should get better over the next couple of years.
Its that time of year again 🦌👍
Seems to come and go quickly! Thanks Geoff!
Awesome vid rook ! You guys year after year will see improvements to the land and deer population due to the logging. I can wait for the solo trip
Thanks RayRay, I agree should be better in the next few years. Have some plans to seed the roads and the landing area. Will only help to bring them in and get them to stay. Take care and Happy Holidays!
Another great video rook. It’s only a matter of time before you guys get one up there. You are seeing them now, that’s a great sign! That place is only going to get better with time. Going to get thick in there and the big boys are going to be in there. Congratulations on your Delaware buck!!
Thanks Andrew, I can tell that the habitat it will improve over the next few years. I think a few guys improved as hunters also this year, that has to help also! Thanks on the DE buck, was a nice one.
@@whiterook85 I’ve shot many deer walking and stalking, but I’ve also pushed deer to other hunters while doing so on public land uggh. Next year, the guys should all take turns walking and putting on small drives to get them moving around and I bet you will have some luck. Your spot looks awesome! Plant that road with some clover and I bet you will put your first nice one down at camp. I’m really pulling for you guys 👍My son shot a 5 pt. the first day at 7:05 in WMU 2F,it was an awesome experience for both of us.
Good plan Andrew! One of the first things I'll be doing is replanting my road (weather permitting), and giving the stand a paint job. Haven't figured out the pattern yet, but I really don't think the deer care. Congrats on the 5pt, nothing like getting it done early. Take care!
I'm thankful for you
Awesome times at Camp Go Time ! The woods look a little different for sure but in a good way. The logger seemed to have done a decent job not smashing the bush up too much. Once the young trees start to grow back the deer will have good browsing. Had one nice 8pt hanging around but he just didn't co-operate this year. Congrats on your DE buck...be some good meat there. Steve's brisket " I don't find that funny " lol He was on his game this year in the kitchen though. Shout out to the Chairman ( Go Birds ! ) on keeping the RITP's alive and well...even Steve got in on it at 10:42. Well done guys. lol Wishing Eric a speedy recovery. TC everyone have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and until next time RITP's !
👍
Will take a bit of getting use to looking at our one lot that we had a lot of trees removed from . Hopefully that will be a spot where they will want to hang out in a year or two. Your deer sounds like the one that Shawn and Mike where chasing, it didn't make that one mistake that would have cost him dearly.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours!! Take care and RITPs!
Great video again guys! My opening morning I got a decent buck 7pt. It sounded like a war zone 4C Catawissa, PA. I’ll take more time to hunt the rut if I can. I like end of October typical and first week of November. By the 5th I’m seeing good buck running around. Congrats on your buck as well!
Congrats on your buck, sounds like a nice one. Way to get it done on the first morning, leaves some time to just have some fun. 35 shots the first day in our area, that's about an hours worth back in the day.
Great video. I’ve been going to our camp in Clarion for over 20 years and never thought to make a video. I wish I would’ve
Thanks Jim, was a slow process getting started with the videos. But now it was worth the effort . Take care!
Hey great video! Very nice camp and looks like a great bunch of guys. I had a quite 14 days of hunting not many deer seen and not many shots. Lots of coyotes ( a few less now) and it was warm. Keep up the great work .
From The irishcoyote……Ontario Canada
Thanks Irish! Sounds like the yotes where in a little trouble up there. Take care!
Love your videos every year ! Great group of guys there love the comroderie you guys have what hunting and deer camp is all about!
Very true Brian. Would love a deer here and there, would make it all the better. Maybe with the timbering it will happen sooner than later. Some people don't get the fun you can have in a Camp, to them it's failure if you don't get a deer.
@whiterook85 Hopefully it will start happening for you guys till then keep doing what your doing making great memories with great people. I'm sure Sr is looking down, smiling on you guys. Keep doing what your doing good things will happen!
👍
