I actually really liked this song when it first came out. Of course Spit out the bone is my favourite from the hardwired album. RIP Lemmy 🔥👍

The solo is made by Kirk. The whole Hardwired album is Kirk improvising except for Spit Out The Bone. He said in an interview last year that he is now motivated mostly by the "blues freedom feeling". He is going to release an instrumental solo album on april.

Nice! I didn't know he has a solo album coming out this year, definitely need to check that out.

Makes sense Spit at the Bone is by far the best solo on the album. He's improving in most songs is noticeable and is the only thing that brings the album down. IMO

That's interesting! I'm eager to hear his solo work, I think of the Metallica members he's maintained the old standards best.

Please do Judas kiss from the death magnetic album by them. One of kirks best solos ever and the chorus riff is absolutely insane. Very underrated track by them. Love ur channel bro

I agree, it's a very middle of the road song from Metallica but with a cool vibe and a great guitar solo. I think there are still other songs from Death Magnetic and Hardwired you would enjoy more. I would suggest Suicide & Redemption, My Apocalypse and Moth Into Flame

Like you, Lemmy is also my idol. I thank Motorhead for everything I love with heavy metal that came after and is a reason I have a cat named Lemmy who also sports an Ace of Spades tag on his collar. I also got a bit choked up the first time I saw the video but the song and video is a touching tribute. Out of all my musical heroes that have passed away, Lemmy hit me the hardest and still affects me.

I opened up for motorhead way back in the late 2000's at the rave in Milwaukee. After our set Lemmi came up to us and said we were pretty good. He's one of the nicest people I've met.

The guitar solos in Metallica are done by the lead guitarist Kirk, James is rhythm guitarist he just did a very few solos in the whole discography

Even though Kirk is very technical I feel like this “bendy” (don’t know how else to describe it) sort of solo definitely Kirk.
Nice reaction as always man. One day, would love to see roc-act ( made up word) to the entire beyond magnetic ep. It’s pretty cool IMO.

This is a great solo. And it reminds me of the solo on To live is to die. I don't know whether that was accidental or not, since both songs are tributes to lost ones.

R.I.P Lemmy🎸 I had the pleasure of being deafened by Motörhead in London. Great Fun! I enjoyed the video, it was the first time that I had seen the video.
    An honest review Dave. 🤘🎸🎸

Pretty sure this is the first time hearing this myself. BUT…. If I’ve heard it before… lol. For real tho- should be a first listen for me as well. Loved what little I have heard from this album so far. Haven’t been able to sit and hear this start to finish yet. Still….

I love that they made a song for him and the video is awesome, I just wish the song was better. It's very monotone and repetitious, a far cry from their best work.

Of course Lemmy performed with Metallica (and outperformed them). A fitting tribute to one of Metal's greatest. Great reaction too!

It was a bit recycled. Definitely a bit of "The Thing That Should Not Be" about it and the solo sounded like it was from Kirk's spare parts bin. Vocally..it had a bit of Chester Bennington about it in parts...and a higher key than I'm used to hearing from Hetfield. I was disappointed the bass was not more prominent considering the subject matter...perhaps even a bit of distortion

You would not put this in top 50 Metallica songs, i think so at least.. but the purpose of the song, to celebrate Lermmy, surely is a plus, just wished they made a better song for that, the video celebrating Lemmy got some cool pictures still, but thats it for me, i love to celebrate Lemmy, but its not best Metallica song.. the song gets a 6, the lyrics and concept of the song get a 8,7..

I really wanted to like Hardwired…, but besides the very first and last song, it’s not one of my faves. I guess it suffers from a lack of input from Kirk, who lost his riffs when he lost his phone.
There’s a sameness to the songs that I found monotonous and they all seem to be about the same tempo: slow to midtempo. Murder One is one I skip, it’s just so boring. It would make more sense if it was in the style of Motorhead, but it’s not.

Half of this album is trash. Death magnetic was their last great album
