CB500X - Solo Norway trip Part 38 - Off to Bruges

- This is Part 38 of my trip continuing the journey on my way to Bruges. After a night of heavy rain and some sort of heavy metal rock concert blaring across the fields for much of the night I packed up and set off to Bruges, where I had already booked a campsite for 2 nights, within walking distance of the old town. I crossed into Belgium at some point but didn't notice where or when until I saw the majority of cars had Belgian registration plates. It was an overcast day with a few showers along the way but nothing too bad. I passed through Antwerp before reaching Bruges where I spent 2 nights, giving me the opportunity to have a walk around the city on my "day off". Stick around to the end for a walk-around Bruges.
The whole journey took me through the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and into Norway right the way up to Nordkapp, the furthest point you can travel by motorcycle or car in mainland Europe and then back through Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Belgium and France over a 7 week period late May - mid July 2023
I am back in the UK now, but please do add your comments and I'll get back to you.
Choice of background music? I use the library provided by my editing software Cyberlink PowerDirector which is meant to copyright approved, but it is being challenged by the copyright owner, so my choice of music, which was always a bit limited is even more so now. Ho hum!
Hoping you can "Like" the video, as this does help the channel.
All my best wishes, thanks again for watching

I've enjoyed all your videos of your Norway trip hugely - watched every one, and look forward to it every week - will miss them when they are over i.e. very soon! They are so well put together, and you ride in the way I would love to - mix of camping and hotels, not ridiculously fast, time to look around etc. And great commentaries. Thank you for making them all. I don't normally comment because I watch them on the TV so it's not easy to comment, but always give a thumbs up.
Many thanks Alan, much appreciated and I'm glad you enjoyed the trip. Yep, final episode this Saturday.
All the best

Zen and the art of tent packing, nice!😌 I worked in camping, hiking and climbing shops in a former life and really appreciated that. Used to have to repack hire tents all the time. OMG, people are animals sometimes!😞 Like the not aknowledging thing, it's nice to be polite to our fellow humans.
Many thanks for the comment. But... just hope I got the guy rope right, it works so I'll leave it at that! 😀

Those photos at the end would have been nice to see in full screen.
Yes, I'm never sure about the holiday snap type photos so I took the less "in your face" option. Hope you got a flavour though.

Some might suspect that you were on a heavy metal/hard rock band tour given the number of nights your rest was disturbed by the loud music😅. Another relaxing, enjoyable video Nick. Sad that the adventure is coming to an end. Cheers, Jim
😅 Hi Jim, I'll put up with the rock music over the rain that usually followed me on previous trips!
Yep, last episode next week.

Nice ❤
Many thanks

I gather you are home by now since these releases are delayed. Hope it was a good experience for you overall Nick! How was the consumption with a full load btw? I get 3.0-3.5 p/100km unladen. Look forward to your next adventure
Had a fabulous time thanks and yes, home for some while now. I think overall at my leisurely pace about 3.2 l /100

@@bikingtravels well done that's incredible!! Stay safe my friend!
👍
Thanks

What method do you use to find campsites on the fly? Apps? Online? Any you can recommend? Thanks
I tend to use Google Maps around the location I intend staying. Quite often if there is one in the area there are more not too far... not always the case though. But this method worked for me for all my trips over the last 2 years. Happy hunting!

Thankfully I have not had to pay €2 / litre for petrol...yet!
Thankfully, fuel prices have dropped recently so hopefully it will stay that way 😀
