Swapping out for the Robotics Factory was very close. I did some maths to check the intuition, as mine was opposite to yours. I calculated the average number of activations in 10 seconds per card, using a bit of rounding to make it easier to work out. Calculating Carl triggers is difficult because it's circular (more Carl -> more Core -> more Carl, etc.), but does have diminishing effects. ----- Scenario 1: keep the board as-is Octopus: 10 uses (8 every 7.8 sec) Walter: 1 use (1 every 9.7 sec) Aiden: 4 uses (1 every 2.6 sec) Monitor: 2 uses (1 every 5.6 sec) Carl: 12 uses? (1 every 7.2 sec, plus haste charges) This means the Core gets 29 friend use charges, so it activates 8 times (1 every 4.7 sec, 1 every 5 friend uses). So the core gives 40 instances of haste (5 friends * 7 uses), with 4 more from Aiden, and 2 from Monitor. This means monitor poisons 46 times. ----- Scenario 2: replace Octopus and Walter for the Robotics factory Aiden: 8 uses (2 every 2.6 sec) Monitor: 4 uses (2 every 5.6 sec) Carl: 14 uses? (1 every 7.2 sec, plus haste charges) This means the Core gets 26 friend use charges, so it activates 7 times (1 every 4.7 sec, 1 every 5 friend uses). So the core gives 42 instances of haste (5 friends * 7 uses), with 8 more from Aiden, and 4 from Monitor. This means monitor poisons 54 times. I don't think the passive is affected by multicast, but if it is, then there are double the poison triggers.
There is an internal minimum cooldown for items which is ~0.25 to ~0.20 (somewhere between 4 and 5 times a second) seconds for passive effects and 1 second for active items. That means that the Monitor Lizard cannot poison more than ~45 times in 10 seconds. Multicast also doesn't affect passive effects however even if it did it would not matter because it does not bypass that internal cooldown.
Yay, freeze is so much fun! :) Since you are coming back, a new skill called corrosive toxins has become extremely popular. It reduces all of the opponent's weapon damage every time you apply poison, which as you know, you can apply poisons like a machine gun. So, fast but small weapon or ramp weapon builds have to get very lucky to win at the moment (not fight Dooleys) as they often end the fight with negative damage like yours were in that last fight. Also, since high damage weapons are often balanced by being slow which makes them easily shut down by freeze, which is also extremely common, those builds also have to get very lucky to win at the moment (not fight Dooleys). We also do not expect a new patch until past the new year as the devs have said that they are taking some holiday time, which is very fair, and all companies should of course. For now though, the game is still fun, and it is still very possible to win as many builds of course. It is just a bit of a slot machine right now whether you even have a chance. This has interestingly been true of all previous patches too in a way, but this patch has been uniquely anti weapon if you get unlucky enough to go up against a lot of corrosive toxin/freeze boards. Good luck boss man.
Welcome back! Glad you had a good trip. I really think the dj robot was a huge bait. Your brickbuddy looked so sad and lonely not being able to save you
As Promised I watched it to the end and God was it worth it! Thank you so much for the content! (Sad we did not get to see the sharp corner trigger with the metronome and the deadly octopus :P )
Def should have put shielded on Monitor Lizard (it gets "on haste, shield 20") but it probably wouldn't have made a difference vs permafreeze. Welcome back!
Welcome back, Rhaps! Hope y'all had a great trip! Not sure if you've learned this by now, but you should hold on to Scrap Metal for a bit just in case - the diamond version also reduces the CD of your core by a whole second!
Rhapsody, man you seriously missed out on Scrap Metal, if you upgrade it to diamond it also gives one whole second of Cool down on your Core. Basically diamond scrap metal upgrades your core and gives a FULL second cooldown as well. You missed atleast 1 second coop down on your core, and possibly even 2 whole seconds of cooldown of core. You shouldn't sell Scrap Metal until its upgraded if possible.
1:03:38 ooohh, with brick buddy you would have had infinite shield basically, you could have gotten a huge amount of Walter cooler triggers plus money plus the scrap from winning, I'm not 100% but I'm fairly sure.
I stumbled upon a heavy (slow enchant) chemsnail in one of my recent dooley runs. It slows 2 items for 3 seconds on cast. It also charges 3 seconds per slow cast. So after its first activation it would just perma activate. Really fun thing to keep an eye out for
Companion core so good. Dooley is very strong this patch, but Dooley is also fun! The ray build is very strong and easy to put up, shield builds are a little iffy for me.
I think you underestimated the value extra fight with sparring partners would give you with walter, because the fight goes for so long you would have gotten quite a few more activations than 5. That turns the space into 300-500 more max hp and 10-15 gold which is pretty good. The extra max hp would very likely have given you the buffer you needed on the vanessa that sent you to sudden death.
The problem is that sparring partner cleanses poison when it revives, so he effectively has no scaling. I dunno the sparring partner numbers but 10-15 gold seems ambitious.
@@vacantvisionary It goes 1000 - 2000 - 4000 - 8000 - 16000 and so on, 1 gold, 2 gold, 3, 4, 5 for 15, for a total of 15 gold. The build was putting out about 21 poison a second conservatively. Time to hit the damage milepoints can be represented as separate integrals since poison resets. Acceleration of poison is 21x, which gives (21/2)x^2 as the rate of poison damage, and (7/2)x^3 as the total damage integral Starting at 0 time, we are solving for x time to deal 1000 damage with this formula. Simple math gives us 6.5 seconds to deal 1000 damage. Now we start over and find the time to deal 2000. 8.3 seconds. 10.4 seconds to deal 4000. 13 seconds to deal 8000. 16.5 seconds to deal 16000. This adds up to about 54.7 seconds to get 15 gold, 38 seconds to get 10. Since there's no timer damage until 30 seconds, I'd say you are guaranteed at least 6 gold. This isn't factoring in race car damage at all, which was triggering about once a second as well, and so does about 20x^2 damage over the same intervals. I'm also only doing the math for when Rhaps was first presented the partner while having diamond wallter. Obviously the math gets nuttier the later you go, while the buddy stays the same strength. The main point here is that if we evaluate the node WHILE having Wallter, it starts being get 200+ max hp while gaining 6 gold, which is honestly better than the options it was against almost all the time. It's not beating Nufu obviously, but it's probably gonna pay off more than most merchants. I hope this poison math is useful for anyone who might be in a similar position in the future!
The DJ was to slow fielding two nanobots for additional triggers might have been better and provided extra damage(oh and I think you were perma hasted anyway?)
Too many UA-camrs burn themselves out, expecting themselves to always be on and never miss a day. That's an unsustainable business model. When you are your own boss you are also in charge of making sure your employer (yourself) gets enough time to recharge. I would hate for you to burn yourself out so make sure you take all of the time you need in between. Everyone needs to take a break every once in a while. Also, I see a bright and long future of Rhaps mispronouncing Companion Core as Companion Cube. Looking forward to it.
DJ is so useless, already haste caped on Lizard so it does nothing but take up 2 item spots and triggers 1 maybe 2 times during the whole fight, seeing that on the field with Companion core is so bad

I’m so so happy you’re back recording more of this!
So excited you're back for the new patch! But hope you enjoyed your trip while you were away and had a great break!!
Welcome back! Glad you had a good trip. I really think the dj robot was a huge bait. Your brickbuddy looked so sad and lonely not being able to save you
Especially he took sharp corner skill so it could have been boosting Race Carl
Hurraaay, you're finally on the latest patch XD
Hope you're having a wonderful Christmas btw, that goes for everyone reading too!

Whoo! Welcome back from your holiday, Rhaps!
Welcome back!!!
I hope you had a great time! :)
Such a fun run, can't wait to see more! Welcome back btw!
Chemsnail + Friend Core + Cool LEDs is a pretty cool combo
Glad to see you back, and a really cool run to start with! Hope Japan was wonderful, that's amazing and somewhere I've always wanted to go myself.

I read your comment, kept scrolling and then came back up here as my brain processed A WHOLE SECOND and not a percent reduction.

For a very long time, I was wondering if Nufu indeed does sell skills.
LEDs + a triggering core (and companion core is probably the easiest) sets the chemsnail off all on it's own.
the hubris of "I think we can take it" at the lich

Hmm, there’s an interesting build I can imagine with angry ballon bot and all those self burn items like the grenades and jetpack

darn, Rhaps you prevented me from asking how you vacation was. How am i now supposed to engage the odd parasocial relationship that is the internet?
Dino Dooley is the most fun you can have imo
Bro Basically gets freeze enchant on his octopus that is wild
Imagine if he also had the one from death knight
Ice 9000? I feel like thats a reference to 8 bit theater

Ahh yes, the monitor lizard patch. AKA, the only build Ive seen on ranked for the past few days.
Great vid. I’m not sure your octopus was triggering Walter cooler the way you thought. Didn’t seem to be increasing health
Rhapsody noooooo! Another lost to the monitor lizard meta 😞. Seriously though, looks like a really fun run there.
robotics factory with race carl on the left is the reason i would go for it. Race carls gets 4 sec instantly, and the core is doubbled,
anyway, sick run
NEW PATCH NEW CHARACTER YAYYY
NEW PATCH BABY
What is the website rhapsody uses?
Just google 'how bazaar', you'll find it ^^
you probably could have stacked enough poison on void colossus before it destroyed an item that it wouldn't have mattered
should save gold scrap metal to upgrade to diamond scrap metal. diamond scrap metal also reduces core cooldown by a flat 1 second

Well technically you're still in another country from my point of view. It's just another country than the other country you were just in.
