Those "super commandos" in Rebels don't seem to have a single weapon in their armor. They look like basic infantry without bicep armor or gauntlet equipment.
My absolute favorite thing about the Mandalorian's is that they are just a culture. No matter what background you come from as long as you know how to fight or can learn then you can join. As long as you keep to their honor code you can stay. Being a people that encouraged individuality and creativity more than any other. Also knowing the importance of good armor and priding themselves on it. Although I do have a question. When one could not fight anymore due to an injury, age or some other major reason, would they be removed from Mandalorian society? Or would they still be allowed to call themselves Mandalorian as long as they held honor to the code in all but combat? I can only assume removed or the Mandalorian in question would just try to fight even if they got themselves killed anyway. Although since they don't tolerate weakness then perhaps they would never get a chance to fight again after something crippling happened. Is this ever explored?
Its talked about when you get to Dxun in Kotor 2, that mandalorians who are unable to fight (old age, injury, etc) get the less combative jobs like a quarter master.
Razzar 21 It was even explored how average Mandos dealt with crippled Mando‘ade during the Clone Wars era. In the Novel Republic Commando: Order 66, I believe. There, a deserted clone commando who had previously undergone a severe head and thus brain injury had joined the Mandalorians. His Mando companion painted a sign on his helmet which told any other Mandalorian that he was still incapacitated in a way, and they treated him honourably, like a veteran.
Man, Neo-crusaders are literally my favourite part of SWU. I have to add 2 distinct ranks between the Neo-crusaders, the veterans which they wore gray-silverish armor and the shock-troopers. Nothing special with veterans they just had more experience in battle than the average private and for that they were something like sergeants per say, right below rally masters, but the shock-troopers are kinda the ones that showed great skill in battle and impress their rally masters, thus becoming shock-troopers, handpicked by their rally masters. Shock-troopers wore heavier armor than the average Neo-crusader and their armor allowed them to survive in space for 24 hours or so, taking directly commands from Cassus Fett himself and no one else. Kinda like the ARC-troopers in the clone wars. Note that Basilisk war-droids were a species that the crusaders enslaved and transformed into deadly killing machines, they enslaved the species during their crusades against smaller nearby systems. The most fascinating thing for me about the Mandalorian wars is that it is the only time in galactic history that the mandalorians made the whole galaxy tremble to their might. Great video by the way, been waiting a long time for someone to focus on neo-crusaders, keep up the good work.
The Mandalorians maintained that sense of fear for many years even after the Mandalorian wars, even despite the new Sith Empire lead by Revan. Though the Mandalorians didn't cause much trouble at the time, being that they were just defeated by Revan, and so wouldn't risk another war especially with the Sith. That said when Revan returned and challenged the galaxy during the great war between the old Sith Empire lead by Vitiate and the Republic. Mandalorians flocked to his side, cause to them there was no one in the galaxy more worthy to serve. Just further showing exactly how badass they and Revan were. Also generally I believe that Mandalorians thought of most Jedi as worthy warriors, though whether or not they liked them or respected them tended to vary based on both the times and if there was specific Jedi of note.

So what I'm getting is, Disney is making a wimp out of what should be a much tougher Mandalorian. I had a feeling he was way too soft for what should be a legendary warrior.
I would say an average Crusader could take on 10 average Neo-Crusaders. The reason is that the average Neo-Crusader during the final 3 years of the war were conscripts. Some of them didn't even get helmets on the field until they earned them by impressing a Rally Master. And those Neos that came from prisons liberated by the Mando conquerors were little more than thugs who got a very fast indoctrination on the Six Actions of Mandalorian life and were handed armor and arms and told to go out and be Mandalorians. Death Watch could probably take on a few Neos as well. They began as a pure Mandalorian movement and ended as a conquering machine that churned out warriors like candy bars.

Jango was the last True Mandalorian
@@franzgreif4458 technically not true, if we are looking at the origins of mandalorian the original race died out but passed on their ideal, as for jango been the last one also not true.
@@franzgreif4458 also jango was not a true mandalorian he was a adopted fledgling.
@@dorittossenpai2268 I meant the group that called themselves True Mandalorians
@@dorittossenpai2268 That's not completely right. The Taung went extinct, but they took other apecies in their culture and clans and so the Mandalorians lived on
ON KOTOR when you talk to mandalore (canderous) the armor for true madalorians were strong enough to bounce off a lightsaber
True Mandos are a much muchclater faction but yes beskar is lightsabre repelant
Jango fett isn’t a mandalorian or so most theories say so , his armor was most likely a replica inspired from mandalorian armor and not even from the same material
Most mando armour wasn’t made out of beskar take din djarin ( the Mandalorian form the show the Mandalorian) for example before he got his full beskar suit he had durasteel amour the same metal jango used
That battlefront intro tho
The average mandalorian soldier was no more skilled than the Senate.
Did you say... *wrist rockets?*
You should do a video on the echani
Do a breakdown of ARF troopers
So what I'm getting is, Disney is making a wimp out of what should be a much tougher Mandalorian. I had a feeling he was way too soft for what should be a legendary warrior.
Everuthing is less powerful than they were in KOTOR though
4:46 just like the Sangheili
Space Spartans.
This is the way.
When Mandalore the Preserver walks into the club, ya'll know you messed up.
They need to add mandolirians in sotor remastered
basical... if you are in a squad, and you find a mandalorian your hole platoon might be dummed
Do the Sith Empire
Maybe Sith Empire army (Old Republic)
I will train like a mandalorian!
I would comment but there's 69 comments
Well 70 now

What is the Beskar?
Havoc Squad maybe?
But did Neo Crusaders have jet packs?
Why did individual repulsor shields go out of style in star wars
Idiot Plot
Gavanater 7 the republic dark age. About 3000 years before episode one the republic went through a dark age so crippling that the technology of ftl, of the holonet, of blasters, pretty much disappeared. Jedi used metal swords again for a time. Personal shields were completely forgotten, and only were redeveloped in the years of the clone wars
Are you sick? Did you get a new mic? You sound slightly different
Was a little sick at the time of recording
so why did they include capes in their armor set did it serve a purpose or did they just want everybody to know that the mandos are better
Iirc it’s a holdover from the clans. And your clan insignia would be on the cape, plus it looks cool
It always stopped them from being burnt by their jet packs!
I wish they fought for us
Mandalorian Vs clone army who would win ?
Depends on the time period.
Do clones
Old republic inner core in this video. Or the separatists.
What are the comics these stories are in?
