    PLEASE, could you do like a tutorial of how to use Lingoda?
    I know one can learn it, but i don´t really want to ruin it.
    Thank you very much for your video.
    By the way, i already logged in, but it appears i can do a class for the next 2 days, but the Super sprint start on July 1st. So my question is, if i did that class i would lose the challenge?
    In that case i can program my first class for July 1st?
    Thanks

      Hi, Leanne! Each level has a slightly different number of classes, so that depends. I went from C1 to C2 with the Marathon (now called Super Sprint) but the C1 and C2 levels had 75 classes each. So I finished C1 and started C2 with the one promotion. I hope that helps! There is this trick condition in the Lingoda Sprint Promotion Rules:
    .
    "42. a) Conditions for the refund in the Super Sprint: The Participant can attend a maximum of 1 class per day and must complete the class from start to finish (i.e. they cannot be late or leave the class earlier). ".
    .
    Pay attention to "they cannot leave the class earlier". Now, imagine you have just 5 minutes left in a class and your internet connection or your light goes out. What are you gonna do? You sure could try switching to 4G connection on your phone, but if you couldn't do that until the end of the class, Lingonda can assume that you left the class earlier.
    .
    What I'm saying here is: pay attention, have a light and internet backup. To be completely safe, take the classes from a notebook with a good battery using a very reliable internet access and a 4G connection at hand.
    .
    By the way, I'm thinking to enroll in the Super Sprint English, but I'm still afraid about the risks that are involved.

    • @sungalaxia
      @sungalaxia 4 роки тому

      The sprint is actually 15 classes a month for 3 months, so as long as you get all 15 done within each 30-day time slot, it counts.

    • @SpanishandGo
      @SpanishandGo  4 роки тому +2

      Yeah, you could possibly plan around camping trips with the regular Sprint (15 classes/mo). But Lingoda will not tolerate breaking the rules. If you miss a scheduled class, you’ll be disqualified. Make sure you read the rules before you sign up! Thanks for watching! -Jim

      @@SpanishandGo Yeah, during the quarantine, I've had to work every third week, so I've been planning my classes during my off-weeks. That's also the reason I did the regular sprint rather than the super sprint; I didn't want to have to take a class after working a 12-hour shift.

    • @sungalaxia
      @sungalaxia 4 роки тому +1

      @@jenspickler5120 Oh yeah, they have classes every day at all times of day, because the teachers are in all different time zones. You can even take a class at 3am Saturday morning if you wanted! Class times vary a little week to week because of that, so you may have to allow a little flexibility in your schedule, but since there are so many options throughout the day, I haven't had any problem at all getting an appropriate class (for my level) at a workable time.

      My tip for staying interested is to incorporate Spanish into your favorite hobbies. For example, if you love watching movies, watch some in Spanish. Or if you have a favorite book, read it in Spanish. Having a friend who wants to learn too is also a great motivator.

      Hi, Lito! Good question. You can schedule classes for anytime of the day or night, but I recommend you always schedule at least a week in advance. For example, I usually try to schedule my classes at 6pm. So each week or two I schedule 7-14 classes at a time for 6pm each day. Spanish and Go Hi Jim, your blog was super helpful. For the record, I am new to your channel and loving it. Also, your Spanish is perfect 👌🏻
      Here’s my story. I am of Puerto Rican decent born and raised in NYC. I do speak and understand Spanish and always looking to improve my vocabulary and pronunciation; however, I am not able to read or write in Spanish. My level is A1 beginner. Would you still recommend this course for someone like me? Currently, I am learning Italian and I feel guilty that I am reading and writing in this language but unable to do it in Spanish. I appreciate your opinion. Thank you!!!

      @Lito Lito - sorry I'm just seeing your comment now. I'm glad you're enjoying the channel! If you already speak and understand Spanish, you might find some of the classes boring because you'll be with others who cannot speak in A1. Have you taken a placement test before? You might want to find a program that focuses on reading a writing more than speaking. Perhaps watching movies or shows on mute with Spanish subtitles could help you. You do get the opportunity to read out loud in Lingoda classes, but I'm just concerned that you might find the majority of the speaking portions boring and unproductive for your situation. I hope that helps! Thanks for watching! -Jim

      However, if you complete the promotion at a B1 or B2 level, you can continue higher levels but I think you’d have to pay for 1-on-1 classes at that point.
