I worked for a company who had Boeing as a primary customer. The things I could tell you ... here's how I was fired.
I'd been having problems with a manager who would breath down your neck to hurry you up. Didn't care about quality. He'd challenged me and I'll fought back. I call him over to point out a problem.
Manager: Push it forward.
Me: It's not right, its a little off. This bolt fits but it's got a 8 degree angle on it.
Manager:
*checks eye his monkey eye ball, ignoring the obvious tilt* Push. It. Forward. Well put the cover over it, they never dismantle it to check.
Me: Its the key safety feature mate. I'll dismantle it and try to fix it, But I'm pretty sure the mount is off. I'll try anyway.
Manager: we have an order to fill. I don't have time for you to fix your mistake.
Me: it's not my mistake. *drills bolt out, shines light into bolt hole* see that angle? It means I can't drill it securely. Which means the entire mechanism will be rattling on the plane. Thread by thread of the bolt will get torn up, which means it vibrate more. *lifts up bolt for inspection and shines light at it. If it were my mistake, my compact gun would have threaded the bolt "lines" already. Can you see any threading?
Manager: *ignores logic and evidence and looks up at the clock* this is the third time today you've called me over this. Just try and fix it like you did last time (I
had reported the first bend mount immediately, which was barely recognizable with a spirt level, hence within the threshold, even if it was unusual). Just do what you did with the last ones.
Me: they were 1-2 degrees off. This needs to sit flush as it's a mount. You know if it's over 2 degrees off we have to get it quality inspected/tested before use. (We normally only do this at 3-4 degrees as "standard practice" and would be shouted at if we tried at 2 degrees)
Manager: You're always the one holding up the line. Look ... *leans in* do we have a problem here? Why can't you just get on with it like everyone else does? I know you're newish here, but this isn't like your last job where you have all the time in the world to check things. In your interview you said you could work in a fast paced environments. I just don't get it. Sometimes you're finished before everybody and others you're just complaining and standing here waiting for a quality inspector with your thumb up your ass. (Insinuating I'm lazy).
Me: im the quickest on the line if everything is working even with my extra, "paranoid" checks. If I have no problems with the parts I can go without stopping. Im making a key safety feature of a plane here mate. You may call me paranoid, but I call it giving a s#!t. If this fails people can die and I won't have that on my conscious. There's a reason why I have a 0.3% fail rate on my final quality checks. Five times better than the second best and 25 times better than your golden boy (his favourite fast worker who doesn't care in the slightest. I don't go out for smokes by doing it quickly. I don't mess around and chat. I jump to other sections to help other people. I work hard, so don't ever call me lazy. This is about safety for me. For you, like all of you production managers, is about speed for your bonuses, thats all--
Manager: I've been here for twenty years, don't you ever speak to me like that! *Lines stops, everyone looks over, another manager comes running* I know more about this industry than you'll ever know. Just. Do. What. You're. Told. I have the big picture and it's my iob to make sure we (himself and the company as though they're the same) makes as much as possible.
Me: I heard you made 32k last year in bonuses. Record number put through for you, right? Mr company man made them big sales right? All orders done in time. Dont lie to yourself. We put out a record number of fails recorded by the customer. Over 1 MILLION in fines because of cut corners and returns. And two in field which cost another half a mill. You're not even a company man, you're just looking out for yourself. And the people above you are doing the same. Bonuses are any of you care about. I won't be apart of this. I'm done after today. Oh and I won't be signing off this part without a replacement.
I realise that ive been shouting. Other members of staff look at each other, some nod. Other manager arrives.
Other manager: stop this now! *looks around to the manager, they lock eyes and look around. Everyone can see that they know I'm right. He gives me a murderous look, his face turning red.
2nd Manager: GET OUT!
Talk to staff members later, they all told me I was right, that the whole factory talked about it for weeks. Managers diciplined several people who mentioned it, suddenly caring about quality and finding problems with there installations. The word got out, you'll be in trouble if you do.
I'm not the only one. This happened every few months. Everyone knows.

This game ramps up in difficulty so fast, it has consumed a lot of free time lately and I’ve been loving it. Had to set it aside this past week because you can sink into like that if you aren’t careful. Also amazing soundtrack.

The poison pools from spiders used to be permanent instead of dissipating with time. It was rough.
I like your content and commentary videos, and I like Quasimorph, so this is a win for me. I wish that you had started post-tutorial though, and hadn't taken the time to go through the factions, seeing as the REAL content of this vid doesn't start until around 7:30, which is more than a quarter of the total runtime in. Just my 2 cents.

One valid point is that the video is catered towards people who know nothing about the game, and it's easier to explain some things in the tutorial environment

Hey, Kleaper, while it's not quite so economically exploitable, another similar style of game that I've really enjoyed is Subterrain: Mines of Titan. It's got resource gathering, quests, overall colony resource control, and even mutant flesh beasts that you can acquire tech augments from, all with a stat and skill tree for everything from bows to small guns to fucking psyker powers. It's similarly in EA, but all of that's already in the game, I've easily put probably 10-15 hours in on my first time trying out the game.
1. I didn't know what quasimorphosis did until it was at like 400
2. I decided to full clear the map anyway
3. Quasimorphosis gets to 1000 on a moon
4. Weird thing with 400 HP spawns that can summon more quasimorphs
5. I beat it to death with a dauggur saber cuz melee is op

i have a eldirich undescribable preference in games i like and this is right up my ally i think. Its been on my wishlist but the steam page didn't really do it justice imo.
