Buzz Hickey was a gem. He managed to turn the last Troy and Abed end card into a tragedy of realism. Also, every day it's his birthday, so be sure to give him 5 meow meow beanz
Buzz is my favourite of the teachers on the show. I always love how he had more grounded stories, and felt more like a real person, playing the straight man so straight he made Jeff look wacky in comparison. The line “Yeah mom it’s Buzz, I’m gonna say this as fast as I can, we can’t afford to bury Dad with the rest of the family.” isn’t a funny thing at all, but with his delivery, and the world in which he is set in, makes it hysterical.
The Annie-Hickey dynamic of Season 5 is one of my favorite parts of that season. They work so well together as the aspiring upstart and the jaded-experienced one
14:56 I feel as if Jonathan Banks came up with that line because it's so similar to the breaking bad episode for which he had an argument with the writers for "dumbing mike down" by using the word "who" instead of "whom".
Better Call Saul started airing around the same time as season 6, wish they gave him a proper sendoff though he was such a great addition to the group!
Yeah I always thought Abed as one of those guys that seems like a well meaning guy but really doesn’t care about what anyone else wants, as long as he gets what he wants. Not that I hate Abed or anything, but if he was a real person and I met him I would not ever want to be his friend
@@kamillakilambayeva3819 Yeah, I stopped liking Abed in Season 5 and especially 6. But it's not just Abed, I think they all got worse in the last 2 seasons. Although there had already been the occasional time when they were just horrible people. I can't stand the way they constantly treat Todd. Especially in his first episode. I don't even watch that one anymore.
15:25 The best line I've ever heard: "What about your restaurant, what about your kids? Miss Bennet when God talks to you, what language does he use? because in my experience when he thinks you deserve something he drops it on you like a ton of bricks!", ok lets do it man.
LMAO so even Hicky gets a "Best Of" on Jonathan's birthday but you can't be arsed to make Best Of Annie on Alison's birthday who was only in every effing episode. Great job 👍👏
Same! Especially as an artist And as an artist I can tell you it doesn’t matter if the drawings are “bad” by your standards it’s something I care about and having it destroyed is unacceptable
Some people started hating on the show when a few of the original ensemble had to leave, but idk I actually liked most of the characters that were introduced later, like Buzz. He's a badass no-bullsh!t different kind of old-person than Pierce. He was distinguishable from other characters, and I felt he contributed to the content. Or maybe I'm just easy to please lmao
He's basically the same character here. I like to think if stupid Walter hadn't pointlessly shot him, he'd have gotten a new identity and become a teacher at a community college
Now that BCS is over, I’m hoping he can make an appearance in the movie. Yes I know there was that email that suggested he died, but I’m sure the writers can find some explanation for that if people care that much.
I don’t understand everyone’s need to say this. Chevy sucks as a person, sure, but Pierce was funny and a missed addition to the show. Love Hickey and Elroy though.
Hickey was the only character added after the classic seasons that actually worked well in this show. Too bad they kicked him out for the final season.
Not sure why they included bullying Leonard as part of a "best of" compilation. I know it's part of his character development and he got better but it's still not funny or fun to watch at all. I'm really disappointed that was included. But that aside, he was a great addition to the show. I wish they didn't kill him off.

He is literally just Mike in a sitcom, and I love him.
Ikr 😅
The goblin interrogation is 100% how Mike would handle it
The Annie-Hickey dynamic of Season 5 is one of my favorite parts of that season. They work so well together as the aspiring upstart and the jaded-experienced one
Agreed. Hickey played the part of the aspiring upstart so well
Hickey is the character we're trying to find in Pierce
I'd watch a buddy cop movie with them. "Annie's got a Hickey"
Mike survived and went into witness protection as a criminology teacher.
Exactly!
Also Gus secretly retired to spend some time playing video games with his half-brother.
If you were a Post-Apocalyptic Survivor, "Raise Goats, Hoard Cinnamon, and only travel at Night " I love how fast he had these answers ready.

Yes
I think everyone over a certain age can empathize with Hickey's reaction to MeowMeowBeenz.
there isn't even a joke it's just Mike trying not to have an aneurysm lmfao
Being a veteran, I can relate to his reaction tbh
@@jahcode6132 I mean look at how he creatively interrogated the hob goblins. And it's his first time doing dnd.
He was right about Zuckerburg
"I have punched about a thousand hearts in my lifetime...I have never missed!"
Hickey's cartoon duck became such a success that he retired from Greendale.
publishers are interested!
I wish! But in one of the episodes, I think it's the one with the hacker, we can see the Dean's computer and there's an email about Hickey's death :(

@@Redstar2613 Oh no! Does anyone know which episode?
His Meow Meow Beans reaction is nothing short of iconic. Sheer comedic brilliance.
Gillian is a great actor. The way she delivers, "I lived in NY." She did the same thing with the D&D episode with, "You wouldn't understand."
He’s the exact same as Jeff in the sense that he makes fun of all the ridiculous stuff the others do and then joins in with equal intensity anyways
I wish hickey and frankie shared a season, they were really good for contrasting abed with reality

I loved how Johnathon Banks embraced the utter silliness of this show

@@ifeelpretty5790exactly! Especially the step brother plot line
Honestly, though, Hickey had a point about Abed: He's way too thoughtless about the possible consequences of his actions.
Yeah I always thought Abed as one of those guys that seems like a well meaning guy but really doesn’t care about what anyone else wants, as long as he gets what he wants. Not that I hate Abed or anything, but if he was a real person and I met him I would not ever want to be his friend
he became that way later in the show. First two seasons he truly was a well-meaning person who cared about his friends; it’s later that he digressed

6 SEASONS AND A MOVIE
For some reason, Hickey's delivery of "wait a second, press pause on Dave Matthews!" always cracks me up.
The reason why there was no paintball this season, is because Hickey would’ve turned it into Vietnam

Hickey was initially such a dark character for the show, I never realized it until now.
11:41 is so awesome. Abed had this coming so hard and so long.
Watching him here is so funny because he'll always be Mike to me 😭

No was he was on for 1 season and left a lasting impression on us 😅👏
I wish Hickey could have met Sheldon Cooper and taught him consequences...
I’m glad Mike was able to disappear and assumed the identity of a criminology professor. He’s doing alright now!
Totally.
That and when we learnt Gustavo's harsh and tragic past as Pierce's half-brother.
Jonathan Banks is Sylvester Stallone as an old man and nobody can tell me otherwise
