Exactly!!! On the flip side there's a lot of Jack and Karen happening here too. Sublime entertainment from enormous talents! I want to take Christine Baranski and Megan Mullaly to my nearest gay club!!!
@@originaltommy Yasss! Anastasia Beaverhausen, Patsy Stone, Mary-Ann Thorpe and Jerri Blank (Strangers with Candy) would be the four horsewomen for my Dragpocalypse;o) Or Golden Girls revival! Just shows what a fabulous actress Christine Baranski is. She played fun loving drunk Maryann then the upright unemotional robot Dr Beverley Hofstadter. and made them completely believable.
I wonder if they could somehow Reboot the Cybill-verse without Cybill… Like Ira & Maryann in the present with Zoey dropping by. That way Christine, Alan and Alicia can work together again and actually ENJOY it this time! AND have Chuck Lorre write it to turn the knife counterclockwise 😈

I remember we only had an antenna (used to have to have one person crawl on top of the trailer house and adjust it until we had a clear picture lol) and this is one of the shows we'd watch. A lot of these 90s shows bring back a lot of memories. Amazing.
What a shame Cybill Shepherd was so insecure that she couldn't see the goldmine in her playing straight woman to Christine Baranski's genius. So she made everyone on the show miserable, and it was cancelled WAY before it ever should have been--all because Cybill HAD to have more punchlines than Baranski and couldn't handle Baranski repeatedly being nominated for Emmys while she was not. Hopefully some future leading man or woman in a sitcom will learn from her colossal misstep. Unfortunately, so many had to suffer and prematurely lost their jobs because if it.
Point of information.....This is for all those who have Roku, not cable. On the Roku channel, there is a mislabelling of episodes. The episode titled "Lowenstien's Lament" is really the episode about Cybill's agent who died after she fired him. The episode titled "Where's Zoey?" is really "Lowenstien's Lament" where Ira's novel, based on his marriage to Cybill, is made into a movie where Cybill is not very happy about how she is portrayed.....especially when she is slated to play the part. Just wanted to let everyone know that. Hate it when big multi-million dollar companies get things WRONG.
Rhianon F Your welcome. The Maryann character just made this show. I recently discovered Happy Family, another Baranski comedy, and it is full of laughs also.
That's the first time I seen her. Then seen her in movies. Then found out she was on Broadway. Just a girl standing in the middle of a field in Idaho !
Maryann was such a trip. Always found her hilarious, she and Cybill make a great duo. Hey Chatting with You, I know this is silly but...do you have a compilation of all the times Maryann calls her ex 'Doctor Dick'. LOL! I always thought it was funny how she called him that, but even funnier when Cybill did it while rehearsing a part for Ira's play in which she was supposed to mimic Maryanne's behavior. Maryanne really hated Richard with a passion in this show.
Who could blame Maryanne? She worked long hours at low pay to put that prick through med school only to discover he regularly had women on the side. Even a huge divorce settlement can't compensate for that level of deceit and betrayal.
Recently Cybill said in an interview that her show could have run another five years had she not turned down Les Moonves' sexual advances. Other than the money, why would Julie Chen waste her best years with that cad? She can do so much better. SMH
@@mrs.herculepoirot7763 Cybill mentioned that Les Moonves tried to make the moves on her during lunch to get her to sleep with him but she said no and then the show was cancelled although Moonves denied the allegations.
Cybill Shepherd could’ve kept Her Show For a Fifth season But CBS wouldn’t let her because it had Bad Ratings and It had a good running so it was a Hit
I heard that Cybill ruined her own show by beind jealous of how much Maryann became the star of the show. She tried to give Maryann less screen time and less lines, but that didn't help her, cause Christine was the bomb as Maryann.
Imagine a sitcom with Maryann Thorpe and Karen Walker, that would be absolutely fabulous!!!😊
Agh! Yes!
This was the closest the US got to successfully creating Absolutely Fabulous.
YES! Roseanne & Jackie we’re close, but this is definitely spot on.
I LOVED this show!

It didn’t surprise me at all when I read that the character of Maryann was modelled after Patsy Stone…I see a lot of similarities!

Maryann deserves her own sitcom :) I would so watch it, if they made it
It’s funny how Cybil always gets upstaged by all her co stars. Bruce Willis, Curtis Armstrong, Allyce Beasley and then Christine Baranski.

I'd like no daughter, with Cybil being the co star to Christine
I binged this whole show stoned as fuck during quarantine and maryanne holds a special place in my heart
Pity I can't find this TV series complete. I would love to watch it again. It was fabulous!
I love christine baranski 💖😍
Tamera Smith Me too!

Started watching this show on Amazon prime . It's a timepass.
Me too and I love Maryann Thorpe lol

I loved this show, it was brilliant 👏
I loved this show!
Mary Ann (Maryann?) inspired Karen Walker - I just realized!
Megan Mullaly based Karen Walker on Christine's work. Love it.
For folks that like Christine Baranski, try Happy Family on UA-cam. Ms Baranski AND John Larroquette as parents of 3 dysfunctional adult children.
Great show too

I love Maryann's snarling outbursts.
I've had so many fantasies about Maryanne.
Audience laughter spoils it all.
Oh damn this is just so good!!

Maryanne stealing the show🤣😂😂😂🤣
Her snark is classic, and you can totally see it on display recently in The Gilded Age.
Thank you for uploading this. I have been looking for something like this for a couple of years.

I like this.
Why we don't have this show on youtube, whole thing??
I forgot Danny Masterson was on this.

sabre926 That would be a funny compilation. Loved that episode, especially when Cybill is staying at Maryann’s and her new Richard comes by.

Had no idea danny masterson was on another show before That 70s Show.
Dilly Dally Surprised me too when I was rewatching this show.
But then again, I didn't know Dave Chapelle and Jim Brewer were on Home Improvement until watching reruns.

I didn't think Cybill would ever turn anyone down for sex.
@@moanamowry8829 .....evidently Les lived up to his name.
Can you post the scene from season 2 episode 17 where Maryann jumps out of the coffin? I can’t find it anywhere.
Madison Felger I don’t have S1 & 2 at the moment, but you can find them on daily motion.
When the show was on the air I always remember it being really really funny. Why would they cancel it after only 2 years ?
Because Christine was so popular and won an Emmy. No way was Cybill was putting up with that.
@@mrs.herculepoirot7763 Cybill mentioned that Les Moonves tried to make the moves on her during lunch to get her to sleep with him but she said no and then the show was cancelled although Moonves denied the allegations.
It ran for 4 years.
It was on for 4 seasons
According to Cybill herself, she refused to sleep with the producer.
Danny Masterson from " That 70s Show"❤

this show seems awful, and you say it had multiply seasons?
Baranski was the only saving grace of that sad show.
