Story wise, I want to see some earth shattering truths to be exposed, specifically regarding the reasons behind Sylux’s hatred towards the Federation. Like, imagine we would eventually learn that Sylux’s vendetta was surprisingly sympathetic but he still had to be stopped. Speaking of Sylux, I really hope his true identity is that of a never-before-seen alien (I’m tired of seeing space pirates and chozos all the time and I CERTAINLY pray that it’s not a human looking one under that armor). And finally, I hope we can play as him at some point in the game.
There's a theory that Sylux is actually Samus' brother that she thought had died along with her parents. I hope it turns out to be that if only to see if it's possible for Samus to share a moment with her actual family
@@connorhilchie2779 Samus having a brother is only mentioned in the manga, so it’s not canon. And I certainly hope that Sylux is not Samus’ brother, Metroid does not need a Star Wars-plot twist.
Finally, someone who's not out of their F mind (ie wanting Sylux to not be some lame-o human, let alone Samus's long lost non-canon brother from a 30-35+ year old fan-fiction, or Adam Malkobitch's ghost little brother from freakin' Other M of all godforsaken places) ! And yes, hopefully Sylux is a tad bit more than just some 100% evil villain we end up killing at the end or in a sequel. I mean, if the game lives up to the OG trilogy regardless then fine, but it'd still be cool if Sylux's goals/motivations aren't completely villainous and we team up against a common threat by the end of the game or something, that'd be a fresh change from Dark Samus or Ridley. As for what Sylux might be, I think the most likely/realistic/not totally ridiculous possibilities are either some form of AI (probably Aurora Unit) uploaded into the suit, or a human-alien hybrid (probably metroid x Samus DNA). For the former, I'm guessing it'd be an Aurora Unit that opposed itself to go forward with some sketchy experiments the GF were up to (one of them being the stolen prototype gear Sylux uses) and so it "went rogue", stole and took control of the suit by uploading itself into it and is now trying to bring down said GF's experiment(s). For the latter, I'm thinking a Samus DNA x metroid hybrid abomination escaped from a top secret GF lab, essentially a human shaped metroid. The "perfect organism" if you will (the power of a metroid, the ability of a human, the intelligence of both). Maybe the GF wanted to create their own one-(wo)man army Samus-like super-soldier and so they created this metroid hybrid using Samus DNA as the basis for the human part + they made a suit for it which mimics Samus's with its own "morph form", weapon, ship and everything.
@@Retarded_Ape I think he means he wished Nintendo would re-release the older titles on modern hardware. Not everyone has a 20 year old handheld laying around to play an 18 year old game. Granted he could just do what most people do with old games and emulate them.
@@badboy-gn8fu Ridley is a military commander of the Space Pirates. Seeing as the pirates are in disarray after the events of Prime 3, Ridley might be calling the shots this time (if he’s revived again).
I'm so shocked that they actually went with the fan theory of Sylux's ship tailing Samus at the end of Prime 3. I legit don't know how to feel about that since this is like 10+ years in the making.
Nintendo would win a lot of good faith back with me if they make Sylux playable through the game, maybe in NG+. Everyone is replacing male protags in their series with females, so adding a male protag to metroid would be a great way to show that this agenda isn't totally one sided.

Ravenbeak and Sylux in the next Smash Bros
Sure wish they gave us some of the previous titles so I would know who the hell this was and why they are considered such a threat to Samus
Bruh. Sylux was in metroid prime hunters. Go check it out. He also appears briefly in metroid prime 3 and federation force.

Agree. But they could inject some context into this game as well. Remasters for 2-3 would be nice tho.
I want to know with Mother Brain and Prime dead, who is leading the Space Pirates!???
Probably Ridley again or perhaps Weavil, but I honestly hope it’s a new character leading the pirates this time.

Tanabe himself was the one who confirmed it in 2015, so it's not really a fan theory.

I honestly would rather we get a multiplayer mode like in Hunters that lets us play as the other hunters, including Sylux.
