Thanks for this playthrough. This game and Navajo Wars are gems for the solo player, great to look at and to play, but also difficult to win. I've never managed to get past the second historical period in Comancheria but have enjoyed the experience the game has provided anyway.Once the settlements are on the board its very difficult to get rid of them and then the inevitable culture attack comes along.
You're welcome, thanks for sticking around! It's definitely hard to win. I mean, I'd even topped up my Culture at that start of that turn, but it all just happened so fast. I suppose if I had not done that extra action, not drawn an extra 8APs, I probably could have survived longer. I just did not see the train wreck looming. Live and learn!
I did not realize how potentially catastrophic having an enemy fully built out could be. Parking Comancherias on spots they could expand to was probably a mistake in History period 3. And I probably should not have worried as much about Yellow on the prior turn. And should have trusted my gut and ratcheted back how much I tried to do in H3. But, from my experience, you spend the entire game close to the brink. It's really hard and probably requires a lot of experience to navigate through to the end. Had fun along the way, however. And that's what matters most.

It was a good fight. Only thing left is to start building casinos on the reservation. Now I can start watching the Prime Minister vids.
