I believe you need to lose 2G for each Stalemate

Per rule 10.2.1 Current Treaties, you have to remove the Berlin treaty instead of moving Prussia to hostile. It is possible to Break the Treaty (10.2.2) and do both. Regardless, the Treaty is moved from the Treaties box to the Potential Treaties area.

Just FYI, according to the FAQ, the crowning cards (whichever you pick) counts as your 1st card draw.

After victory in Syria, should play have continued with the new year at Card Draw Marker 4? The Syrian Campaign card reads... Campaign result: Victory, +10G. Defeat, -5G. After, progress the Year marker one step and conduct Resource Income Segment. Then, set the Card Draw Marker to "4," and continue with the 4th. New Card Draw of the new Year's Card Action Phase.

I had many questions when I started but I got up to speed very quickly. Once you get a handle on the basic flow it goes pretty well.

I have this on my table now. I paused this morning because of a question about one card (Brumaire), but for the most part the cards and game play are very self-explanatory.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that the Strategy & Tactics card Bonaparte's Plans is not an ongoing effect card. So shouldn't it be discarded if you pay to play it?

I wanted to thank you for this series of videos - my copy came yesterday and I was able to get it straight to the table and get through an entire campaign last night because your tutorial and play through set me up for success! The dice gods were kind - particularly on diplomacy rolls - and Europe was never able to unite against me so I picked them apart one at a time until I had Peace in Europe with Limits of Glory and a legitimate heir. With that said - I already can't wait to play it again as I can just see all the permutations as to where this game can go! I was also incredibly lucky - Desiree Clary accepted my proposal and gave me a son, all of my Brumaire conspirators lined up to breeze me through my coup, my first few years were short on campaigns but full of generals so I was well equipped to handle almost any situation by the time the campaigns started showing up...I rolled a 10 on my Russia campaign and Alexander never became czar and Spain remained my timid ally throughout my reign. I know there's no chance that everything falls that way the next time I play and so I can't wait to see what happens!

The game is way more tricky and complicated than I first suspect. Yes he’s been unlucky a few times but still, the options and decisions that are available to you are truly amazing. I can’t wait for GMT to ship my copy so I can play with it 😊

There was actually a few times where he forgot to move the card draw counter and ended up playing a few free extra cards 😊

I believe with Tsar Paul you don't do diplomatic rolls for Russia

4:50, Evacuation of Civilians from a Compromised Area (damage token), R20 - "In both cases , the Evacuation Area cannot be Compromised...." Did I miss something that allows you to do this?

Updates: * A clarification on GMT's website came out after this was created: You only get the +10G and +1P for conquering a nation once, not every turn. Sorry for getting that wrong.

Great game, and great to see help each other to better understand the game. The sheriff move from Nottingham to Remston, I think is not allowed because is separated by a river. Thank you for the video, learned a lot from your comments during the game. Tomorrow will play it with my son ,who loved it from his first play yesterday.

Thanks for the playthrough. I enjoy each of you sharing your thoughts behind the moves. I think the Sheriff should have received 4 shillings during the inspection - one for each submissive area (including Nottingham). There were 3 submissive areas and Nottingham for four schillings.

Great game! You don’t use every event card in every game so there is pretty good replay potential and card counting won’t help you know what events are coming up.

Unsure. Some reviews doubt replay ability. Some reviews say more thematic experience than an actual game. Also seems to be lot of FAQ’s already which is never a good sign. Also expensive. Almost $100 for a copy in Canada. This Hobby is quickly becoming unaffordable and taking a high cost risk on an untested game is not smart. Maybe wait a year to see how the reviews are or buy one used.

Well done! Played our first game 1 hour ago and I've to say, I didn't find a red line (played Sheriff). When first time playing, it's a difficult game, because you don't know what to do. Had a lot of event card usage, either to take the event or to block the event. Let's see what's our verdict after several games. Top or flop? After one game it's impossible to see the direction.

I think I will play the optional rules for replacement pilots and random events. I enjoy watching your playthrough

I really appreciate the videos on Skies of Britain .. but i have a small request. The volume of the voices between you two are so different. One reasonably loud, but the second is so, so quiet. Makes the videos so much harder to follow.

Really enjoyed all of your Prime Minister series. Helped me learn the game very quickly! But these Clockwork opponents are something else.

Thanks for these playthroughs, they’ve been lots of fun to watch, especially the take 2 playing as the Bismarck. and hope you do more again in future. And for what it’s worth, you were playing the intel limit rule correctly. The rules could be a bit more explicit on this but yes, for example, a slow vessel has an intel limit of 1 so you cannot remove more than that 1 segment with the marker, so if you’ve already removed 1 segment without an intel marker you can’t then remove another segment with an intel marker as that would be 2 segments total and breach the intel limit, so you just remove 1 segment total in this case.
