True, I recently got hold on a fiat 147 Fiorino. I have plenty of space but money being scarse it will be an entertaining challenge to restore my fiat and keeping my oldish Mercedes station wagon(Bob) maintained. Love em both though, and yeah if I had more time and money I'd probably add a BX and a Xantia (non facelift).
Come on Seppo you really like just showing off 😂, what a menagerie of cars & bikes you have and very eclectic collection. We believe you lol 😂 I do remember watching it running , just nice to see you keeping them running and alive 🙏🏻👍🏻.
Best thing to do with the Metro, stick a Rover 1.8VVC into it making a Kestrel Metro, a 1800 will just fit in and give you a 150mph car if set up right, called a Kestrel if you search for a Kestrel Metro you will find a bloke who has tuned up the 1.8's into a 160+mph package, phenomenal drive to experience.
Would putting a vvc head onto your existing block be allowed? Thus keeping the original engine. Don't think engine swaps using the same family of engine are even counted as a modification here, you just need to inform the dvla of a displacement change and tell your insurance provider.
Hi! first of all - HUGE love from Israel, just watched the whole video and wanted to ask and point a few things :) hope you would answer all of them. 1. The Visa sounds like my BX GTI, I guess it has the same xu5j engine? 2. you talked a couple of times about the costs of register the vehicles etc. how exactly it's going in Denmark? how much it cost yearly? or otherwise - on what the price depends? (displacement? something else?) 3. how about the prices of the insurance? I guess you got to have insurance for the cars you drive. how is it going in Denmark? 4. are cars above a certain age get a title of classic/antique cars or something like that? 5. when you talk about MOT - what exactly they check while you're there? and how often you need to bring the car to an MOT? 6. I wish we had cold weather on april... 2 days ago it was 40 dagrees (Cel ofcourse) 7. I'm inviting you to watch my latest videos about the restoration of the 204.. tomorrow I hope to finish her completely.
Wow, that's a lot of vehicles. I'm not a big fan of French cars, but I really like the AZU van, it's just so typically rural France. I'm looking forward to seeing it on the road. Keep on doing exactly what you are doing Seppo, you make great content.
Great video, perfect for watching while cooking dinner! (found out just now). My favorites: Autobianchi and Metro Surf. Greatings from the Netherlands.
What an amazing storage facility! Do you have the rights to the whole of it? Maybe you could rent a couple of spots to enthusiasts that would pay for a couple of drums of LHM
I have in my fleet my MK2 Reliant Robin 3 wheel van, a 1985 MK1 Vespa T5 and a 1958 (built actually late '57) Li150 both in my front room as the T5 got vandalised and the Li is just way way to valuable to have anywhere near the street. Actually have accrued all the parts to rebuild my T5 just need to get started on the damned thing, I fitted it with an LML Xpress engine which is more powerful than a Vespa P200 engine having also 5 ports and a reed valve making it super quick on acceleration, OK it bottoms out at 80mph but it gets there quicker than most cars can.
I never thought id be interested in seeing a Metro again! They were everywhere in the UK 25 years ago. Now you almost never see one. Many reasons - not especially well made, unloved daily drivers, scrappage schemes, loss of dealer network. Look forward to seeing that one done.
The Metro is growing on me, and a lot of enthusiasts I meet... that seems to happen to a lot of cars that was previous unloved... maybe because they get so rare...
@@SeasideGarage British cars have that effect. Much loved by my grandparents generation, but I remember my dad doing what became known as ‘morris dancing’ - jumping around at the side of the road next to his brand new Ambassador, vowing never to buy another British car!😂 (he never did)

Definitely need to put the Metro Surf on the top of the waiting list, may not be the pocket rocket like the Abarth, but I'm sure you'll have fun with it... :D
Much madness behind the scenes.. :P Yes... I should have mentioned in this video also, but it was sold when I got the Porsche... the CX was great, but VERY thirsty...
Frankly I'm really surprised that you are not keeping all those cars jacked up! That's a must if you keep a car without movement for years, as the tires will became dented, even if they are not deflated... but as we have seen on the Visa there is one which is actually deflated completely 😅
I always think Jonathan Haines formerly of Reliant sees BX's and abs kicks himself solid for such a failed own goal. Imagine the BX with Ford crossflow engines, even V6 Cologne's and Ford drivetrains or Rover K series even which all were on the drawing board for Reliant's version but they bottled it and boom, the companies salvation wafted out the window and another British car maker gone to the wall whilst Citroen made absolute fortunes out of the design who bought it cut price...
