Kinda funny. I remember watching this back in 2012, thinking how futuristic a bezel-less phone/tablet was. Here we are in 2018, and that future is beginning to take shape. God, I love technology.

I'm pretty sure software could be written to recognize whether it's a tap or your palm in it.

@lewisfroom But ain't there a way for the phone to sense when you're bout to pick it up so it creates a virtual border so there's no interferences and then when you put it back on the table it goes full screen and the borders disappear

How do you open an app?
It's possible with a smart "hand anti-interfered" software.
Only problem?
It is very fragile.

But this concept can still work. When you hold your tablet you touch both sides of it. Imagine if back of it would be touch sensitive. It would recognize hand youre holding tablet and ignore your thumb touching touchscreen :D What do you think about it?

Horrible idea. Your hand or skin is nearly always in contact with the touch screen, which will interfere with it.
