    Great, thank you, I've got out of practice. You don't have to slow down with age. Sometimes living conditions, having a small flat, means you don't walk so far or so fast. This video is encouraging.

    To increase your walking speed try a military cadence starting off on your left foot and say give me your left, by the time you say this you are on your right foot in which you say again give me your left and again you are on your right foot then say give me your left right left and repeat.

      Bob and Brad don't know anything about walking in general. When you walk, you always want to strike your heel on the ground first, never the balls of your foot. You are right Kathy, they are kind of retarded. Your hamstrings play a roll in faster walking also, not just your glutes and calves.

    Hey you guys did it again‼️ It's supposed to be farther, not further. Farther is for distance and you remember because it has the word "far" in it. Further is used when speaking of something metaphorically, not actual distance. "I will not discuss this any further." 😊😁

    • @BobandBrad
      @BobandBrad  Рік тому +1

    I always thought walking improved my leg strength but after a recent severe tear of the meniscus, my GP advised to swap walking for cycling. He said walking did nothing to increase leg strength. You video didn't mention quads so I guess he is correct...? Sadly, my dog wouldn't be so impressed if I gave up walking.

    • @BobandBrad
      @BobandBrad  Рік тому +1

      Cycling is great for leg strength, walking can help and is great for mobility. Your dog is going to have to learn to run !!
