It's hard to believe this video came out four years ago! I often come back to it when I'm having Sad Body Image Issues Feels, and it often makes me feel better. Thank you for sending the message that it's okay to be yourself and that you can still feel beautiful that way (at least, that's what I got from it). It's a lesso I'll probably always be learning, but knowing this exists helps a lot and makes me so happy.

This made me a bit self conscious because I have so many freckles on my arms and cheeks it looks like I got sprayed with paint spray. I don't like them that much, and my face turns as red as a fire truck when I laugh, do exercise, or get embarrassed I have really pale skin as well, so stuff like blackheads and marks show up a lot more. But it made me feel better on the last line, "I secretly like it here". I like how your willing to say your insecurities and say you like them without shame. You inspire me, a lot.

I have heard this song awhile ago. Returning by chance to this song, time has me say it's an excellent song; something you should be proud of. It's rather unique. To be a great writer one must try to write at the same level discarding anything less. :)

That last line just feels so important to me, I'm not sure I can explain why?
I don't know if it's just me but I always felt like, as a girl, I'm not supposed to like how I look. Like, there MUST have to be something about my face or my body that I do not like and when someone compliments my looks, I should always be ready to deny the compliment and downplay it with pointing to the many flaws that I have already catalogued about myself.
And so the line "I secretly like it here" feels like a tiny (big) victory? Like a middle finger to whatever it was in society that taught me to feel this way because fuck you I ACTUALLY LIKE ME thank you very much. So yeah. that's that.

I actually purposefully completed it all in one dark foggy evening! It cost me about 5 hours of my precious time, and my sensitive face was scarlet and raw afterwards the procedure from scrubbing it off each moment in time lol.
