It was great meeting you last night. I’m still sad that your stock truck outran my High Country with top end build. But she wasn’t build for speed. lol. I know you mentioned weight in your video. I hadn’t put our HC on the scale but with all the tools, jacks, gear, and luggage we had in ours last and the factory weight we had to be 7500-8000# It was awesome that we were able to do this and my daughter seems to have fallen in love with drag racing. She did make 15 hits last night on her first night drag racing. When I met you I didn’t realize you were a celebrity. That’s cool. I agree with above comments, you should build that truck. That would be super cool with a turbo.
Haha far from celebrity but I appreciate it! I agree y’all’s truck empty on a lighter weight wheel/tire should run real healthy! Maybe we can run it back sometime. Shorty will def get some power mods coming!
When you drop the videos of you and louren together it’s cool Watchin her smile and glow when she drives the trucks. My favorite one of yall together so far is when she was drivin larrry on the backroads 🤣
bought me some of them speed engineering shorty headers for my 2015 silverado no matter what donut gasket i use it leaks at the collector on the driver side how’d you get urs to not leak
how do you know when a truck meet is happening im wanting to see some rams im a big ram guy but idc as long as its a truck meet is there a website or something?
@@Jeremiah_324 4x4 gm trucks have a locked front differential which the awd doesn’t and 4x4 and awd have different percentages of power that go to the front wheels. And the awd on these trucks are all time awd. Both have advantages and disadvantages
Agreed. I have a 14 Silverado and at one point it had a tsp stage 2, intake and exhaust. No long tubes and on 35 inch tires would go 9s in the 1/8. Looks like that truck is going low tens with more mods and much smaller tires.
@@weethee2351 yessir got myself a 18 crew cab myself highly modified. It’s in the shop getting l83 rebuilt with new cam etc and potentially GPI pistons. Lifter got screwed had metal shavings in the oil goal is to have her at a low 12s 1/4 when she’s out naturally aspirated.
We had an additional 1000# of tools and gear in it, it’s a 3:42 gear which I want to change to 3:73 When I did the top end build I built for look and sound. I did expect more from it last night and trust when I say I want to investigate why it wasn’t faster and remediate that. Lol. We welcome suggestions, both for my daughter the rookie driver and for my truck. Note: this isn’t what she plans on racing, this was just getting her feet wet and letting her make passes. Which she made 15 hits in the trucks first time on a track and her first time going down any track. lol. She is building a 1st Gen LS S10 for a drag truck.
@@tonycansler no doubt I did go with posi & 373s myself & top end is amazing. Although if your building the truck to primarily do digs I’d highly recommend 4.11s

I’d say tsp 214/228 cam and you can run the factory stall and get more power out of it with a nice 🪓
