I'm taking down my marley twists after 3 weeks and using the Just For Me Detangling Treatment (pre shampoo detangler) to help assist with knots and tangles. My transitioning hair is 6 months post relaxer and I will be showing my current wash day routine. After taking down each marley twist, I added the Detangling treatment and using a detangling brush to help free the tangles. I then shampoo'd my hair twice in the shower and using a detangling comb while the shampoo was in my hair. I then blow dried my hair and will be wearing wigs for the next week as my protective hairstyle. I'm super proud of myself for making it to this 6th month milestone. My goal is 12 months post before doing the big chop. 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️ 🌟TIME STAMPS 0:00 intro with detangling treatment 0:28 taking my twists down, detangling, and texture shots 6:07 starting wash day routine 7:02 after drying with head wrap 8:00 leave-in conditioner and detangling 10:11 heat protector and blow drying 12:55 after blow drying 16:18 recommended videos 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️ 🌟PRODUCTS USED/RECOMMENDED ▪️Just for Me Curl Peace Tender Head Detangling Treatment (pre shampoo detangler) amzn.to/2VG4x0U ▪️Creme of Nature with argan oil - Strength & Shine Leave-In Conditioner amzn.to/3CrcmJ6 ▪️Lusters S-Curl Activator/Moisturizer No Drip amzn.to/3iwsIZ2 ▪️Goody TANGLEFIX Lightweight Tear Free Styling Brush amzn.to/3fCc34j ▪️Evolve Knot Free Detangle Brush amzn.to/3fDczif ▪️KISS 1875W Ceramic Tourmaline Hair Dryer With 3 Attachments amzn.to/3jxka3l ▪️Proclaim Olive Spray On Glosser amzn.to/37tEiOe ▪️Silk Elements MegaSilk Olive Shampoo amzn.to/2U1A6C9 ▪️African Pride Olive Miracle Anti-Breakage 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner amzn.to/3Ar8aqZ ▪️Wide Teeth Combs Shower Comb amzn.to/3jx70TU 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️ 💕CONNECT WITH ME💕 direct.me/sw33tsparkl3 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️
I hope you grow your relaxed hair and never cut it off again. Eating oatmeal everyday and protective feed in box braids, that I kept in for 4 months at a time, helped my hair to really grow back. I'm aiming for waist length hair.
Six months post relaxer, Big Congratulations to you.🎉 I enjoyed watching.❤️ Your hair is so dense and beautiful. Thanks for always sharing great tips. Blessings 🙏🏽❤️
I AM SOOOO HAPPY!!! That you finally decided to cross over to the land of milk and honey 🤣♥️ I been waiting on you and some other of my OG UA-camrs lol but it’s all about being ready. It’s scary at first but the results are gonna be so worth it!
Yeah, I stopped pre-wash detangling altogether. I just saw no benefit. I now do my first detangle in the shower after shampooing, while I have conditioner on my hair and it works just fine. Less time, same results. I’m all natural now & the other thing that saves me tons of work is tension air drying if I’m going to blow dry my hair. I smooth my roots and ponytail my hair in multiple sections with an ouchless band and twist the ends. I stretch the twists by pinning the ends around my head. When I blow dry, I put my liquid heat protectant on the ends (without removing the band) and blow them out first. Then I remove the band and do the roots. Saves tons of time when blow drying bc the tension allows your roots to dry straighter.
Thanks for the tips! Only reason I used the pre shampoo detangler this time is because I was taking down the Marley twists and I already know the matting my hair gets from not being combed for an extended period of time 💫
love how the hair looks on you.... super cute.... I love curly headband wigs they're my favorite... I always use a spray bottle with water and a curly mousse
They still looked good too. I haven’t had a perm since 2016 never did a big chop I just let it grow out lol too scared to do a chop but it worked out for me and I do silk press in the colder months. And protective style like knotless and passion twist…. TFS your journey 💜💜💜💜💜💜
Yes I’m super proud of you 🤗…when you play around with products and techniques for your hair it makes it super easy to get a routine down and it literally cuts the time down too and its the best feeling cause we all know wash day issa mess lol!…so you go girrrl🥰
Your twists still looked good. What style are you going to do next? It's my wash day (I've been procrastinating all day)and I'm wishing it could go as fast as your edited version, lol. I wash my hair in the sink too. The shower is good, but I don't like having to get in and out of the shower and get my entire body wet and then having to dry off multiple times (shampoo, wash out deep conditioner etc) I guess I'll get started...
Thanks Leigh 💜 and I'm wearing wigs for the next week then I'll probably wear my hair out . Trust me, I feel the exact same way about washing hair in the shower, which is why I was sooo resistant to doing it. Idk if u noticed, but I totally skipped the deep conditioning step for this reason 😩😩 definitely not finna be hopping in and out just to wash my hair, nope. So I'll just try to focus on making sure my hair is moisturized for this week since I didn't deep condition this time. Next time I will tho.
@@SW33TSPARKL3 Now that you mention it, you sure didn't dc, lol. I'm sitting under the dryer now with mine, and it's hot 🥵. And I still have to wrap my hair and come back under here. Looking forward to your next video. Enjoy the remainder of your weekend!
Lol i hope u don't have too much longer under the dryer. It used to take me like 2hrs for a wrap to dry when I used to go to the salon as a young girl. Have a great weekend hun!
Forget a big chop just start washing it with neutralizing shampoo to strip the relaxer and then go in with a moisturizing shampoo and deep condition to get it back healthy. I think if you do that for the remainder of the 6 month stretch you can get fresh relaxer if you want and space out your touch ups I think that's where the problem started.
I am transitioning from relaxed hair to natural hair. I am seven months in and have been cutting off the relaxed hair ends little by little. Yes, the relaxed hair is so tangled. Struggling with real 4C hair. Hanging in there.
I've been transitioning for 10 months now, and I can not take these tangles. I want to wait a whole year but I'm getting fed up. You're doing a great job taking care of your hair. God bless you! 🥰😇😇😍 p.s I hate washing my hair in the shower too.
At the moment I don't want to be bothered. I've been relaxed for so long and just really got bored and wanted to do something different. Don't get me wrong, I love relaxed hair and will always support my relaxed sisters💫
